Well… AF came and got me in a big way today so on to the next cycle anyone else TTC November 2021?

@Cmacq32 I think you’ll be fine, your OPKs are picking up your LH surge which happens around 24-36 hours before ovulation so having DTD this morning they’ll be there and waiting for the egg to show it’s face soon 😊

@ajayelbee I’m due today too and can’t shake the feeling of absolute terror!

Did another test last night and this is my progression over three days, so hoping that’s a good sign!

We’ve decided to go for a 6 week scan at Window to the Womb and if there’s a heartbeat, I know it’ll just put my mind at rest a bit more - just need to get through these next two weeks as I’m still running to the loo thinking I’ve bled!

Now I know why parents don’t let their kids do anything! 😂😂

@ajayelbee this is such a worrying time. I had scans throughout my last pregnancy as I was just worried. Try to take your mind off by doing things you enjoy or watch a good boxset! It's sooo hard not worrying and there's no stopping it, just distraction! X

Ovulation is due, I tested today with 2 strips from different boxes.
Is it a surge? App says ill ovulate on Saturday.
When do you think we should try conceiving?
It does require a little planning because of work shifts…

I didn’t think I’d ovulated this month as I never got a test past a faint line, but low and behold some miracle happened!

I might be feeling some ovulation pain but not sure as I just had an UTI.
No eggwhite ovulation mucus either yet.
I just don’t want to miss my window.
How long after the LH surge does ovulation actually happen?
Should I try tomorrow or on Saturday?

Honestly, the best thing to do is kind of forget about the window and just have fun - we DTD from the day after my period finished until a couple days past ovulation - after your peak OPK, you’ll ovulate anywhere between 24-72 hours after, so it’s really hard to pinpoint, so just get going!

@alexalexalex18 Sperm can stay alive in your Fallopian tubes for up to five days too, so you want a nice supply ready and waiting for the egg and if you try and predict the time of ovulation, it might be too late for the sperm to get up there and meet it!!

I used easy@home strips, as they have an app which measures Lh from the photo. It was really accurate and in line with the blood tests I was getting each day from the fertility clinic!
Without technology I would be useless 😂

I try really hard not to talk about my OH especially on and media/online platforms. But I am so annoyed with his lack of commitment to TTC. He has gone on about baby #2 plenty enough and I finally got in the same place as him. Yet each cycle I find him to make excuses for not DTD (tired, work busy ect) it's infuriating! I don't know why it comes a such a surprise to him to have to engage in intemacy more frequently as I ovulate but he seams to be surprised each bloody time.
Its really annoying me, to the point I'm going to tell him I don't want another if he carries on this lack of commitment. Can't be arsed with all the TTC stress we went through last time to not have his full attention to the deeds.

@Cmacq32 there’s just so many extra things to worry about now! 🤣 my guilty pleasure is awful reality tv haha. That will keep me distracted! I’m also going to start wrapping Christmas pressies this weekend and going on a hunt for delicious Christmassy food ☺️

I’m so sorry you’re having issues around TTC with your OH. Have you had the chat about how specific it actually has to be over your fertile window? The stress of worrying about DTD enough at the right times shouldn’t be solely on your shoulders, you’re right. It literally takes two.

@ajayelbee all good this was and no sign of the monster, but I stupidly did another test strip yesterday and I’m having an absolute meltdown because I think it’s lighter! 😭

If anyone could look at this progression and tell me it’s okay/to prepare for the worst, that would be great!

Top test - 11dpo
2nd test - 12dpo
3rd test - 13dpo
4th test - 14dpo

I know you shouldn’t go off of tests, but I’m practically hyperventilating over here 😅

Yesterday I had the surge, felt some ovary pain and DTD this morning.
Stayed for 15’mins in bed :))

@Cmacq32 yes they’re my pregnancy tests!

I’m only 4 weeks today though and I’m so terrified that it’s still so early and I could lose it, so I’ve been tracking my HCG progression and worried that the one I took last night is slightly lighter than the day before as this is a sign of a chemical pregnancy! 😭

*just to clarify, I have quite bad health anxiety 😬

@Cmacq32 you’re welcome. And for what it’s worth I’m sorry you’re in this position with your OH. It sounds so frustrating to have had the big chat and to then still be in the same situation. I do hope he starts pulling his weight in your ttc journey.

@CountryGirl189 I’m 4 weeks today too! I think your third and fourth test lines look the same. Which is reasonable given hcg doubles every 48 hours. I think your lines are much too dark to be a CP.

Firstly congratulations (regardless what ifs) you made a baby 🥰
Secondly, you can not rely on all test strips. I took 3 in one day and the middle one was light and the next was dark. They are not reliable. The only way of tracking HCG in pregnancy is blood tests as these are the most reliable. But every women's levels are different and might be 'normal for you'.
I think you should contact your GP if your worried and personally I would stop taking the strips. My understanding is that they only record a certain amount and if your levels exceed the maximum the records are skewed.

Anxiety around TTC has to be the most stressful so I empathise with you. Try to relax if you can and join the thread where you are with other newly pregnant mums for support-I found this a great help in the early days xxx

I absolutely know and remenber what you are feeling. I lost all symptoms at 9 weeks, literally from sore boobs, sickness, headache and then they disappeared. I had a scan and all fine. Every pregnancy is different and doesn't mean to say something will go wrong. She's now one!!
