Well… AF came and got me in a big way today so on to the next cycle anyone else TTC November 2021?

@SantiagoSister ah thank you lovely! I have absolutely no idea what to do now! I can’t stop looking at today’s tests!

I hope your appointment goes well today and that the results come back quickly. Hopeful they will also have more information/ advice to reassure you that all will be well.

@ajayelbee yes the cramping does make sense. I usually get a headache a day or two before AF so 13 days before is quite unusual for me! Hoping it means something as my first month off the pill so no idea when I'll ovulate really.

BFN on a FRER here at 9DPO and AF due Wednesday, I can already feel AF type cramps 😞 AF is due 26th December so I could get a Christmas Day BFP! 🙏🏻

@newjourney21 thank you! Perhaps as it’s your first month off the pill it is a hormonal headache with your ovulation. Are you tracking it with OPKs or BBT?

@Curlywurly3 ah, you’re not out until AF comes! But if she does arrive a potential Christmas Day BFP would literally be the best present!!

@ajayelbee I am hoping so! It has gone today. Tracking with OPKs however been using them since CD10 and haven't had a high reading yet so not sure how reliable that is? What did you use?

@newjourney21 I used internet cheapies and the app Femometer that is associated with them. I got a bundle deal on Amazon when I bought their BBT thermometer 🤣. The app is only really useful for the OPK intelligent recognition. Then I put all the data into Fertility Friend! What CD are you now? I was tracking mine from CD 8 this month, and got high readings all the way up to my peak on CD 15. Mine said not to use FMU, but I got fed up with holding my wee all morning, so on CD15 I used FMU and got my peak. I might have missed it if I hadn’t done that! Every body is different, so maybe try testing at a few different times throughout the day.

@newjourney21 also my OPK peak came 3 days later than my apps predicted 🤷🏼‍♀️ But it was confirmed late by my BBT shift, which I got CD17.

@ajayelbee absolutely, you stare at those tests as long as you like, it’s an incredible feeling. When you’re ready (as there’s no rush, they take a while to see you for your first appointment), and depending on your area, you could self refer to your midwife services. I know in my area we have an online form to fill out and then they get back to you in a few weeks time with a date for your booking appointment, which around here is done at about 8-9 weeks along 😊 if you’re unsure, your GP will be able to advise.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I spoke to the GP this morning who is absolutely sure there would be no damage done (I'm a very naturally anxious person so I do find that quite hard to believe 😔) and she said she wouldn’t offer a blood test for lead exposure unless I was showing symptoms, and she felt sure that the few hours I was exposed for wouldn’t do me any harm, plus there’s nothing they can do about it either if it did turn up positive. She did 111 were overreacting. So it looks like I won’t be getting the test after all 😔 I have ordered some lead testing kits to test the old paint on the walls so if that comes back negative later this week, then I think I will try my best to relax and just hope and pray I get to keep this little rainbow baby 🙏🏻🌈

@Curlywurly3 sorry for the BFN this morning, but don’t give up hope just yet 🤞🏼 When do you plan on testing again? If it’s not your month this month, then a Christmas Day bfp would be the best present I could ever think of 🎁

@ajayelbee ooo I may have to look into that for my next cycle if this one isn't successful as that does sound a lot better. I've been using the Premom app alongside Ovia. I haven't been tracking BBT but that is something I'll defo do also next month as seems to be a good indicator from what I've seen for others. Today is CD17 and I've had pretty much the same low reading from CD10 until today. I've been doing them twice a day around midday and 6pm avoiding FMU also, so I'm thinking maybe I could've just missed the high reading? We've been dtd every other day for over a week now anyway as that's the most important part right lol!! Maybe next month I'll test in the mornings too. Thank you for the info so helpful

I’m sorry that they didn’t do the blood test, but it is reassuring that the GP wasn’t concerned. Anxiety can be so debilitating, I’m so sorry you’re going through this at the moment. Hopefully you can confirm with your home test kit this week that there isn’t any lead in the old paint and that gives you some tangible evidence that it is all okay. I suffer quite badly from anxiety, so have been having acupuncture for it and honestly, I don’t even care if it’s a placebo, because it’s worked so well for me. It might be worth exploring some options like that to take the edge of whilst you’re incubating your little rainbow bean 🌈

@newjourney21 you’re welcome! And absolutely right DTD regularly is all that matters really!! You’re bound to have caught your ovulation that way even if you missed the peak on your OPKs!

That sounds like a plan @ajayelbee! They can advise you best on the next steps 😊 looking forward to more progression for you tomorrow on your tests! I done another today and things are looking good so far with regards to the line getting darker 🤞🏼

Thank you so much for your kind words, you’re so right with it being debilitating sometimes. It can completely take over your life 😖 I’m sorry you suffer with this as well, it’s horrible. I’m so pleased you’ve been finding the acupuncture has really helped, I have heard great things about it. To be honest I’ve spent a lot of time in denial that I have anxiety, but I think since losing my little one it really has got worse, and I need to face up to it and try some things to keep it in check. I will look into the acupuncture and other means to help me feel a bit calmer, thank you ❤️

I'm 9DPO and tested this morning with a ClearBlue digital ultra early test - BFN. I know 9DPO is early to test, but I'm only 4 days from expected AF now so was hopeful that an early test might give me some good news.

I recently found out that if I'm not pregnant this month, we can't try again for at least the next couple of cycles, so I'm really hoping I'll get my BFP this weekend! 🤞🏻

I'm going to try not to test again until at least Friday, when AF is due. I just want this week over with now!

Hi @Welliboots, sorry to hear about the BFN today. Don’t lose hope just yet though, you’re not out till AF arrives as the saying goes! Really hoping this is your month as you’re unable to TTC the next couple of months, I can imagine you feel a lot of pressure. Hope you have lots to do to keep you busy until Friday, I tried to keep really busy in my TWW and it really helped.

Hi all! Big congrats to all the November BFP's. This is a lucky thread if I've ever read one.

I just thought I'd throw my wishful thinking out there and ask if anyone has experienced something similar to me:

Im 14DPO today and AF is also due today.
Tested BFN on FRer 12DPO so thought I was out.
Then yesterday (13DPO) partner and I DTD for funzies and I had bright red bleeding straight after. Thought it was AF. Put in a tampon and went to sleep.
Then this morning I woke up and the tampon was totally nothing (sorry TMI).
It's now 9:30pm here in Melbourne, and still no more AF.

Is there a chance it was implantation bleeding? Is 13DPO typically too late for that?

@Curlywurly3 assuming I'm out this month, I'd be due for AF on the 26th Dec too!
Fingers and everything else crossed for Christmas BFPs for us

Hi @ElleFreddie! The “average” timescale for implantation is 6-12 days after ovulation. And any bleeding would be seen just after that. So it’s possible, though I’m not sure how probable. Is there any chance you may have ovulated later than you think?

A very lucky thread 🥰 so I’ve been sent over a Due July/August 2022 thread to join when I’m ready (just cautiously waiting for AF date to pass tomorrow before doing so), do you think us ladies should join that one, or would a more specific Due August 2022 one be better to make? 🤔

Positive or negative?! 10DPO AF due tomorrow and I have period type cramps

Hope no one minds me jumping on this thread, but I was hoping someone could attempt to put my mind at rest?

Over the past couple of days, I’ve taken some Poundland strips and had the faintest line, so got a FRER and some cheap Boots tests.

I was 11dpo yesterday when I took these and the Boots tests came up at five minutes still pretty faint, but then darkened within 10 minutes.

The FRER came up like this straight away within three minutes - is this looking promising at 11dpo?

I have quite bad health anxiety and so desperate for a baby, I’m terrified of a chemical or something going wrong!

@CountryGirl189 they are lovely lines! Congratulations! ✨ completely feel you on the health anxiety, pregnancy is such a worrisome time but you must remember that you cannot control the outcome, so it’s best to just relax and take each day as it comes. Today, you are pregnant! ❤️

It’s my first pregnancy and I’ve been so anxious in case I struggled, but now I’m anxious it won’t stick! Tempted to keep testing, but equally terrified that one day it’ll come up negative! I’m such a worrier 😂
