Thank you @mrsmw132 gives me some hope!

Essexnewbie · 28/11/2021 08:33

@SantiagoSister I don’t really know anything about this but as someone else said it’s probably nothing to worry about! Especially as you weren’t in the room itself for hours on end and it blew down over time. Did you manage to speak to anyone? If not see if you can speak to your GP tomorrow or try 111 again to put your mind at rest. Try not to worry too much!! Chances are it’s likely to be totally fine! ❤️

SantiagoSister · 28/11/2021 09:31

Thank you both @Curlywurly3 and @Essexnewbie - what a worry! 😩 So I have spoken to a nurse from 111 this morning and she contacted a toxicologist on my behalf, you’re spot on with the lead concern @Curlywurly3 as that’s what they’re worried about, she said it’s unlikely there is lead in the paint but because my house was built in the early 70s there’s a small chance. I have to call my GP tomorrow and organise a blood test to check my lead levels as a precaution 😔 really really hoping my levels are low and I’ve not done any damage to this little bean! 🙏🏻

ajayelbee · 28/11/2021 09:46

@SantiagoSister - the placenta doesn’t take over until 8-12 weeks of pregnancy… so I don’t know if what you breathe in is the same as what you consume, but if it is, you likely won’t be passing things to the little bean yet. I’m not an expert, but hopefully you have managed to speak to someone. 💕

ajayelbee · 28/11/2021 09:48

@SantiagoSister I took so long to write my post I missed what you said!

Glad you’ve managed to speak with someone and have got a test booked so quickly. 🤞🤞 that all will be okay. xx

Lua2020 · 28/11/2021 09:48

We got a hot tub and I went in with my first didn’t know I was pregnant and I went in I remember the worry as I googled it @SantiagoSister I think it’s natural to worry and im sure everything will be fine fingers crossed for you

@SantiagoSister that’s really good they are giving you a blood test to give you peace of mind. I know you’ll worry until you get your results back but honestly I’m sure it will be OK x

SantiagoSister · 28/11/2021 10:21

Thanks so much @ajayelbee, that’s a good bit of information to know, really hoping I haven’t passed any chemicals on if the placenta isn’t formed yet 🙏🏻 Hopefully I can get my blood test tomorrow, and at least rule out the worry about the potential lead in the dust. I think I will still worry about the other chemicals I would’ve breathed in but there’s literally nothing I can do about it now, just kicking myself I didn’t notice it sooner as it was so fine.

That’s good to know @Lua2020 thank you, as you and @Curlywurly3 said I think it’s just natural to worry so much when you’re pregnant and having lost a bubs to birth defects before I think I tend to worry even more than the average person now 😩

ajayelbee · 28/11/2021 11:25

@SantiagoSister you’re very welcome. You’re right it’s so hard not to worry. Even more so given your past loss. Have you got some nice things you can do for yourself today to take your mind off the stress of it?

ajayelbee · 28/11/2021 11:28

So I caved this morning at 9dpo and sent DH out for a frer.. it’s a bit of a squinter, but there’s definitely a very faint line on it, right??

SantiagoSister · 28/11/2021 12:08

Thanks @ajayelbee, I’ve got boring housework to do so hopefully that’ll keep me busy and take my mind off things. And I can see the line!!! How exciting, fingers crossed for some progression when you test again 🤞🏼✨ looking forward to your update!

Lua2020 · 28/11/2021 12:17

Congratulations 🎉 this is turning out to be a lucky thread

Curlywurly3 · 28/11/2021 12:46

I definitely see that line @Lua2020!! Fingers crossed for your next tests over the coming days, how exciting! ✨

ali2021 · 28/11/2021 16:36

@ajayelbee and @Lua2020, no doubt about it, definitely lines on both!! Huge congrats!! Amazing news for you both!!

ajayelbee · 28/11/2021 16:38

Thanks everyone! First time I’ve had a hint of anything. Hoping it gets darker over the next few days 🤞

@Lua2020, no I can see it!

Lua2020 · 28/11/2021 17:08

Thanks guys! I’m not 100 percent convinced will test again tomorrow tingly nips tho

OP posts:
Essexnewbie · 28/11/2021 20:06

@ajayelbee @Lua2020 they look like positives to me!! Congratulations both! ❤️😀

@SantiagoSister and I’m so glad the GP have sorted that for you so quickly so you can put your mind at rest! As everyone else said, I’m sure it’s unlikely you would have done any damage but at least you can say for sure after the test and get some reassurance. Hope you’re managing to stay relaxed and not think about it too much! ❤️❤️

SantiagoSister · 28/11/2021 20:35

@Essexnewbie thank you ❤️ I have calmed down a bit now, hoping as it was just one exposure things will be ok 🙏🏻 Will go for my blood test anyway and then as you say, it’s one less thing to worry about!

Congratulations to all the bfps on this thread so far, amazing news ✨

newjourney21 · 28/11/2021 23:40

Congratulations to those who recently had their bfps, so exciting!

So according to my app I should have ovulated yesterday. I have had cramping and the worst headache all day which just isn't budging and my body feels so achey, but AF isn't due for another 13 days! Has anyone else experienced these symptoms around the time of ovulation?

ajayelbee · 29/11/2021 07:19

@newjourney21 I get light cramping sometimes when I ovulate. I don’t get a headache, but I do suffer from hormonal migraines.. generally about a week before AF arrives (which I haven’t had this month!). So it could be possible with all the huge hormonal shifts.

ajayelbee · 29/11/2021 07:30

I think I’ve got some progression this morning… I’m starting to let myself believe it a little bit now! 🤣
