Hi everyone! Anyone else around 1dpo? Or even if not, thought we could keep each other company during the TWW! A bit about me: I'm 28, been with my partner for 12 years and it's our first month properly TTC although I've been tracking my cycle for around a year now. My cycle is usually between 29-34 days, 12 day luteal phase normally. We've been fairly loose a couple of times in the last year so I've got to know the obsessive TWW feeling pretty well.. hoping we can all keep each other sane!! 🤣

Hi, can I join? 4 DPO today.

JesssG · 13/09/2021 16:44

@CatLady93 how funny! Mine is normally 19 and was 24 this month Grin and same I think the jab has messed mine up a bit!

CatLady93 · 13/09/2021 16:46

@SammiStap Friday is test day then it seems! 😀 I've got similar symptoms, impossible to know if they mean anything isn't it! 😩

Haha how bizarre!! Yes seems to be pretty common re the jab. Hope you're doing ok during the TWW!! X

I'm just heading into my first tww. It's my first cycle ttc, got my static smiley yesterday, fairly certain I'm ovulating today and then the countdown starts I guess!

JesssG · 13/09/2021 17:28

I’m 5/6 DPO today and feel like I’ve noticed a couple of symptoms but trying not to get my hopes up, especially as I’m fairly new to TTC! Only my 2nd cycle actively trying! I swear the TWW goes extra slow though!!

Crimmy · 13/09/2021 18:19

Hi @Radrose and @JesssG 👋

@JesssG symptom spotting is so hard to ignore. What symptoms have you had so far?

JesssG · 14/09/2021 08:32

@Crimmy yes exactly! So I’ve had sore boobs, prickling pain in my left ovary (like a sharp pull) and vivid dreams. But I’m trying to ignore it as I feel the more excited I get the worse I will feel if it’s a no go this month!

SammiStap · 14/09/2021 09:21

Morning all!
Today I’m 15dpo and I don’t feel very well…nauseated, had a tiny dizzy spell and a tiny bit of brown discharge after the loo. Don’t know if this is af on the way for something else but af doesn’t usually make me feel unwell unless of course I am genuinely unwell anyway. Might have a bug. Really using up every ounce of willpower to not test!! 😂

Symptom spotting is so hard cos your so honed into your body, and think ‘ohh what’s that?!’ 😂😂

CatLady93 · 14/09/2021 09:33

Morning @SammiStap! Wow 15dpo! So impressed you haven't tested haha. I reckon give your body today to see if AF (🙅🏼‍♀️) turns up or the brown CM gets heavier, then if it hasn't, test in the morning? 😊

@mrsS21 how are you feeling today? Hope you're ok and hopefully looking forward to trying again this new cycle ❤️

Thanks lovely :) luckily my little one is keeping me occupied today - woke us up at 4am being sick, so my mind is elsewhere or half asleep! I was struggling yesterday to pull myself out of the utter disappointment, I’ve booked a call with the gp early October to discuss, so feel at least like I’m taking steps to try understand what’s going on.
How are you @CatLady93? Still excited for Friday Test Day?x

CatLady93 · 14/09/2021 10:48

@mrsS21 Oh gosh poor little thing! 😞 Talking to the GP sounds like a great plan. If only to put your mind at ease! This cycle will be your first without the supplements that were affecting things right? Will be interesting for you to hopefully have a normal cycle 😀

I'm alright thanks! Still feeling quite tired but that's such a PMS symptom isn't it. If I follow in my mum's footsteps I'll have no pregnancy symptoms whatsoever as she only found out she was pregnant with me at 16 weeks 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 No symptoms whatsoever haha! I think I'm going to wait until I'm late to test actually. If I test on Friday (day before I'm due) and it's negative, I'll only find a way to convince myself it's too early to show up or something. I think for me having AF arrive feels a little gentler than seeing a negative test sometimes, not sure why! Keeping chill though and reminding myself it's only our first proper month trying for #1 🙏🏼

Hi,
can I join? I'm currently CD26, expecting AF in 2 days time. Hope it doesn't show. 😬 I don't have any symptoms at all I don't think 😬🙃

We're on our 9th cycle trying for baby #1. There were a couple months we did everything right, and many when we just couldn't bother planning it all and just dtd whenever we felt like it.

I hope it happens for us soon. 🥰

SammiStap · 14/09/2021 13:40

@CatLady93 think I’m out tbh, after doing my jobs this morning I got a bit of red on my panty liner (wore one just in case) so I think I’m out 😞😞 it’s not much but my periods are short and light anyway xx

Crimmy · 14/09/2021 13:57

@CatLady93
Sorry to hear that. 😔
You just never know which month is going to be the month. Focus all your positive energy on this coming cycle!

mrsS21 · 14/09/2021 14:37

@CatLady93hanks lovely ☺️ yes it’ll help just just know if there’s anything we need checking, or if we carry on as we are for a while.

That’s a really good way to do it - there such disappointment seeing a negative test, and not quite sure how I’ve fallen into the habit of testing so much, I didn’t with my first - we found out at 6 weeks! So I took one test which was of course, a blazing positive!
It’s crazy your mum didn’t have symptoms so far in!! Amazing news! It’s funny how our bodies can trick us into believing we are - and equally have no idea we’re growing a little life! Utterly amazing!

@SammiStap sorry to hear your Af is on its way, but here’s to another cycle :)

@lilrosemarie fingers crossed this could be your month 🤞🏻

JesssG · 15/09/2021 06:47

Hey everyone! Hope you’re all doing well. So I’m going to be testing soon (Friday or Saturday) and I was wondering what test everyone prefers? I’ve seen mixed reviews for practically all of them!

beckybabyx · 15/09/2021 11:41

Hi all, hope it's okay if I join Smile
Been off the pill for 9 months now but this is our first cycle actively ttc. Used the clearblue digital ovulation tests, had 5 flashy days and got my static on Friday 10th so presuming I ovulated Saturday 11th so I think I'm either 4/5 dpo and the wait is already killing me!!!
xx

Danani · 15/09/2021 15:23

Hey @JesssG, I'm right behind you, but trying to hold off on testing until 10-12 DPO which is Sun/Tue next week for me.
From what I've seen FRER seems to be everyone's favorite as it's the most sensitive and also pink dye gives less evap lines than blue, apparently.
I'd do FRER myself when I'm testing and then a day before AF or on the day of would do digital CB.

Good luck and hopefully this is our month!

Crimmy · 15/09/2021 15:25

Hope everyone is feeling ok today.
Another day closer to the end of the tww and either the hope that comes with a new cycle or the thing we are all dreaming of 💗

Firsttimetrier · 15/09/2021 15:32

Hello,

Can I join this thread as well?

Very early to the game but it’s our very first time we’ve started TTC and AF is due in two weeks today. We’ve tried to cover all bases over the last few days and will continue DTD for the next couple of days too then I guess hoping for the best.

I’m very impatient so the next two weeks will be very long!

JesssG · 15/09/2021 15:36

@Danani ahh yes same I’m going to test on Saturday which is 10 DPO! I have 2 FRER and one clear blue 6 day early (the line not the cross). The reviews for FRER said people got false positives but I haven’t had any issues with them so far!

Hope everything’s going well with you! How exciting, we are all so close to testing!

Danani · 15/09/2021 16:28

@JesssG yayy!!! I’ll be eagerly awaiting your update after you test! Have all my fingers crossed!
This is cycle 2 of TTC for me and I’m trying not to repeat my mistakes from last time during the TWW, which included but were not limited to: starting to test super early (like 7DPO), obsessively symptom spotting, being very impatient and overall getting in my own head. 😬
Trying to be chill this month and not give into the temptation to POAS.
So far, I have exactly zero symptoms. This time next week things will be much clearer for me, but I remain hopeful 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
