Hi everyone! Anyone else around 1dpo? Or even if not, thought we could keep each other company during the TWW! A bit about me: I'm 28, been with my partner for 12 years and it's our first month properly TTC although I've been tracking my cycle for around a year now. My cycle is usually between 29-34 days, 12 day luteal phase normally. We've been fairly loose a couple of times in the last year so I've got to know the obsessive TWW feeling pretty well.. hoping we can all keep each other sane!! 🤣

Less than a week to go for you now! Just try to stay busy and distract yourself as much as possible. Cramps at 9 DPO could be a good sign!

@Bundaberg84 how strange with the metallic taste, maybe there just isn’t quite enough hcg in your system yet, but you’re hypersensitive to it? I really hope so.

Well, in the spirit of trying not to get my hopes but, but equally struggling not to, I got back home this afternoon and found some strange brownish discharge (sorry,tmi) which could be implantation bleed??? After some intense googling, I’m going to leave a few days and test…if af hasn’t arrived.

I’m really trying not to get ahead of myself, but it’s not something I’ve seen before - with my DD I don’t think I had anything like it. (Cautiously optimistic) hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend!😊

☺️ I’m really trying not to get giddy, but I’ve zero feeling like my period is starting (no severe cramps) my back ache has been hit and miss still, but nothing that would be my norm.
Think I’m 8 or 9dpo now, with my cycle being so out of kilter I’ve no idea for sure when af is due. But my Fitbit suggests Thursday and Flo suggests Saturday 🤷‍♀️

Just have that chest-aching hope that this is it x

Aww I bet you do. It's just such an overwhelmingly exciting thought isn't it. I reckon try and get to the latest realistic point you think AF might arrive.. Just so you don't think you're late when you might not be perhaps? Fingers so tightly crossed for you it all sounds so encouraging ❤️

That’s a good shout to be honest, I’ve just ordered some more FRER for delivery tomorrow. Will hang fire until Friday I think, just don’t want to see more negative tests if i can help it.

@mrsS21 ❤️ I think I'll be testing on Friday morning too so we can do it together ☺️💪🏼 I'm actually feeling totally knackered! Not really sure why, have had a v chilled weekend. Trying not to take it as a symptom but have felt like it a lot last week/over the weekend. I was ready to go to bed about 45 mins ago 👵🏼😅 Stretched myself until now but I think it's time to give in 🤣 Don't think I usually get that before AF 🤷🏼‍♀️😩

@mrsS21 the spotting at 9 DPO sounds really positive, especially if that’s something you haven’t had before 🤞.

I have a quick question if you all don’t mind!! As I said I’m still quite new to TTC and I’m a bit confused on when to take a test. For example, if I do a FRER test which says can test as early as 5 days before missed period, I would be testing on Wednesday. But Wednesday I will only be 7DPO which is way too early isn’t it? Am I best to just wait until closer to when I’m due?

Is anyone trying any tactics to help with implantation during the tww? It might help focus our energies.

Hey @JesssG ☺️ If you'll be 7dpo 5 days before AF is due that means your luteal phase (period of time after ovulation and before the start of your next period), is around 11-12 days which is pretty much the same as mine! For that reason it's not much good for us to test 5 days before AF is due as it'd be too early so you're totally right! Better to test pretty much when we're due instead ☺️

Very exciting news! I tested again yesterday and there was literally nothing (I have excellent line eyes and there definitely wasn’t anything there).
Tested again this morning (at literally 10 past midnight, not sure that’s exactly what they mean by ‘first morning urine’) and there’s a really obvious line. I took a digital to show my husband (I didn’t want the anticlimax of him squinting at a line and not seeing it) and got my BFP!
Still no real symptoms other than a headache/nausea and some pulling/cramping. Fingers crossed for a sticky bean!

Good luck to you all. Hopefully lots of BFPs in this thread (I need you to come and keep me company on the pregnancy boards!)

Why is conceiving such a bitch when you really want it??

@CatLady93 thank you for this! That makes more sense now, I was thinking it seemed way too early! My luteal phase is always 12 days and this cycle is really long for some reason 😔 not sure why!

@JesssG no problem! My cycle has been longer than normal this time too. Had my second covid jab a month or so ago and we went away at the beginning of this cycle so I think it's something to do with that! I usually ovulate around day 19 but this time it was about day 24! X

Thank you @JesssG and @CatLady93, af seems to be in full flow this morning 😭 I feel quite queasy which I’m not usually, but just so upset. I don’t understand - felt like we did everything ‘right’ this cycle, even though it was a longer, strange cycle. I know there’s less than 20% chance of conceiving each cycle, I think I’m just so ready for our second, I’m just so hopeful.

Bless you - it's horrible. Last few months my cycle has been 31 days so I was all geared up to start testing at 8dpo and guess what! AF started the same day, making a 23 day cycle! I had all these symptoms and convinced myself it was our month and was going to be able to tell my other half on our anniversary 😩 have tried not to symptom spot this month as always leads to heartache for me. Xx

Hi @cockneysparra1 I’m so sorry you’ve had such a hard time too, I really hope you get your wonderful news soon. It’s so hard when you feel like it’s happening, and at such perfect times, then your body tricks you. I’m always open with my husband and tell him when I’m feeling like we are - are he suspects we are as I’m incredibly moody 😆 but I feel like each time I get our hopes up and let us down.
Does such a short cycle mean your LP is shortened after ovulation? Xx

@CatLady93 thank you. On one of my apps af meant to be due today but nothing yet and I still feel mildly nausea, cramp and back ache. Other app says af due Wednesday so if nothing by Friday I shall test too! I’m 14dpo today I think.

Some nice positive messages and here and some so congratulations, and to those that are a bit down, I’m sorry. Hopefully next cycles go ok for you.
