@plantbasedlondoner that is too cute! I would keep DTD as long as you have ewcm x

Zelda121 · 27/09/2021 23:34

Hi everyone,

I have been on my TTC journey for one year now. I have been informed I have fibroids one inside womb one outside. More check ups are due soon.

I have always had regular periods however i took Pregnacare for 3/4 months and it completely ruined my cycle - I started spotting in between periods. I have now stopped taking the vitamins and for the past 2 months I have restarted my period 4/5 DAYS AFTER my period had just finished!?😩

This makes me worry more as that means I will most likely not be ovulating this month either as I’m getting 2 sets of periods in a month!

Anyone else gone through this?

Xxx

hoola23 · 28/09/2021 09:42

@newtolineofduty @CShandy01 1dpo today. And so it begins 🤣 didn't DTD last night as to be honest I really couldn't be arsed which shows im not obsessive (as much!) this month! 3 weeks and counting to test if AF doesn't show!

LittleDoveLove · 28/09/2021 13:33

Hi Ladies! Just checking in, I have realised I am 500 messages behind haha. How are you all doing? Xx

plantbasedlondoner · 28/09/2021 14:01

@hoola23 best of luck lovely!! Fingers crossed for you this month. I think I'm going to have a long cycle too this month ... It's not going to be a fun wait I think!

@Zelda121 hopefully your GP has referred you to a gynaecologist as that sounds really tricky, it is very hard to get pregnant unless one is having regular periods so best to sort out any underlying issues first :) Best of luck.

CShandy01 · 28/09/2021 17:20

Hi everyone! Bloody manic day here at work, but at least it means the time goes quickly. 7dpo here and I can't honestly say it's been the easiest week 😂 just 1 more to go!

@hoola23 remember no symptom spotting! 🤣 it's so hard to not do it!! I keep comparing everything to google. Will you test early do you think?

CShandy01 · 28/09/2021 17:22

@LittleDoveLove all good here thanks chick. How are you??

@plantbasedlondoner that was so lovely of your DH to say that 🙂🙂 makes the whole thing seem less stressful when you both support each other. I think sometimes it can feel like it always falls back on our shoulders.

@Zelda121 so sorry to hear about your problems. That must be really tough, especially when it's been the results of taking things that aim to help the TTC journey. I hope you get it sorted soon ❤️🙂

hoola23 · 28/09/2021 17:35

@plantbasedlondoner thank you! The wait is the worst isn't it!

hoola23 · 28/09/2021 17:38

@CShandy01 defo no symptom spotting but for the first week I usually just forget about it. It's the second week that gets me! I'm 100% NOT going to test until 19th Oct if AF doesn't show. If I get that far I'd be 5 weeks pregnant and even then I won't get that excited I don't think. Just happy that it's worked again. I really have no desire to symptom spot or test but ask me again next week 🤣🤣🤣

newtolineofduty · 28/09/2021 19:59

Hey @LittleDoveLove! How are you doing? Have you been focusing on self care etc as you were hoping to? Hope you're feeling good for it.

So @hoola23 @CShandy01 I've had a really stressful few days (nothing major I'm ok and everything but enough to preoccupy me etc) and I realised I've not thought ONCE even fleetingly about how many days post ovulation I am etc and it's been soooooo lovely! Deffo feeling more chilled! @hoola23 I always intend to try and do it on that third night but after we've done the two peak days I always end up thinking 'I can't be arsed-im sure we've done our best and im sure I've ovulated by now!' X im enjoying a break from DTD and I think DO is too especially as we're both feeling rotten after the flu jab and COVID booster vaccine! X

Not sure why some of my post was randomly in bold! DP watching footy so time for some alone time with the TV and chocolate rice cakes (my attempt at a healthy snack!) x

kickassmum · 28/09/2021 20:12

Hi there everyone. I’m looking for some advice. I’m 42 years old & convinced that I’m pregnant with my first child but every test, both otc & blood tests have come back negative. I’m getting just about every pregnancy symptom going & hope that I’m not just clutching at straws & hoping like mad that I am actually pregnant! Has any other mum had this problem? If so, what is the best thing to do?

CShandy01 · 28/09/2021 20:25

@newtolineofduty hope everything is ok chick. Sometimes I think even though when stressful things happen in our everyday lives, it's actually good as it makes us focus on other things. I found that during the summer holidays I was forever counting down the TWW days and Googling all manner of things. Now school is back, the weeks and days fly by, and even though my stress levels are through the roof, I'd rather have this type of stress than TTC stress (probably because I'm more in control at work). Make sure you're looking after yourself and giving yourself plenty of TLC ❤️ and YES on the chocolate! We have so much in the house at the moment you would think AF is here 😂😂

CShandy01 · 28/09/2021 20:27

@kickassmum how late is AF? Have you been to the doctors and explained what's happening? I've never had this myself so I can't be of much help, so apologies. I'm just wondering how far gone you would be and whether you could have a scan? Or is it too soon if you are pregnant?

hoola23 · 28/09/2021 20:47

@newtolineofduty oh hope you're ok hun! Yeah I'm feeling the same, I'm just kind of over the TWW now. If it happen it happens I guess! Yeah I actually don't think we've ever managed second peak day🤣 maybe once I think I really do think it's enough even if you miss that day. Also glad DTD is over, we both enjoy the break I think🤣🤣

hoola23 · 28/09/2021 20:48

@LittleDoveLove hey! Hope you're ok! How are things with you?

hoola23 · 28/09/2021 20:49

@kickassmum sorry no advice on this one! It would be rare if you were pregnant given that all tests are negative but not impossible I guess! How late is AF? What are your symptoms?

newtolineofduty · 28/09/2021 21:07

@hoola23 @CShandy01 couldn't agree more with both your posts! Any stress is better than TTC stress! Although I've run out of ubiquinol now which is quite expensive and I'm wondering whether I should buy some now or wait to see whether AF shows up in ten days or so as it wouldn't arrive from Amazon for another week anyway! X

hoola23 · 28/09/2021 22:45

@newtolineofduty does that stuff just increase ewcm? I feel like I heard of this spoken on big fat negative podcast but I can't remember what it was for!! I'd wait until this cycle finished just in case! Plus if you buy it, you're not manifesting that positive energy!!

newtolineofduty · 28/09/2021 22:48

True @hoola23! But I also think if ive not bought any and then I'm not pregnant I'll feel silly for getting my hopes up! Its basically the most easily absorbed form of coenzyme Q10. It improves egg and embryo quality xxx

hoola23 · 28/09/2021 23:03

@newtolineofduty I have those exact same thoughts when it's time to restock the opk🤣 oh that sounds interesting! I might read into that. How much is it?

newtolineofduty · 28/09/2021 23:15

I pay £20 for 30 200mg tablets @hoola23. There's lots of evidence that IVF cycles are more successful in women who have taken ubiquinol prior to egg retrieval so I just thought it couldn't hurt! It's a good all round general health vitamin too x

newtolineofduty · 28/09/2021 23:15

@hoola23 yes I need to buy a new monitor too! I'm deffo waiting for AF for that! X

Picklema · 28/09/2021 23:22

I've been pregnant before but it was a complete accident. This time I'm TTC and I have no idea what to look for. I keep sampling my cervical fluid but I have no idea what I'm looking for. It's slippery and stretchy but a bit cloudy and the occasional blob - is this fertile?!

Also I had a feel for my cervix (which I've never felt before) and I could feel it though it was a stretch, on one edge it felt hard and the other soft, but I could definitely feel what felt like a scalloped edge to an entrance, is that the opening?

newtolineofduty · 29/09/2021 10:58

So ladies I have a confession to make as I've just done some googling! However my excuse is I just had a spare ten mins whilst I was having a coffee and I'd been reflecting on whether anything felt different about this cycle/fertile week, the main thing being the increased EWCM. I read an academic article that basically said the most important thing in terms of increasing chances of conception is to have sex on the peak day of EWCM production, and that's regardless of how soon after that you ovulate! I thought it would give us all some hope and positive energy given this seemed to be EWCM month! X
