@hoola23 hope you can rest up a little this week. Have you read about ways to thicken up uterine lining? That's what's inspired me to get into my exercise again! Xxx

plantbasedlondoner · 14/09/2021 09:55

@CShandy01 I love your attitude, definitely need to take a leaf out of your book and chill and be positive this month. Although saying that, I am going to try and OPKs to be a get a bit more in touch with my cycle!

Been up a lot of the night with horrid cramps - got some sleep once the ibuprofen kicked in! Weirdly my periods have been heavier and more painful since I started doing reflexology three months ago but could be a complete coincidence too. Quite happy this cycle was shorter in a way so I can start again with a new outlook, much better than having very long PCOS type cycles like in the past!

@hoola23 sorry you're feeling more tired than usual, definitely a sign your body needs all the rest right now xx

MrsRosaline · 14/09/2021 10:03

@CShandy01 my period was due on Monday but on Sunday I had brown spotting that looked like my period starting but it never really developed so I did a test just so I could relax really and wait for proper period to come. I wasn't expecting the positive at all!

@plantbasedlondoner @CShandy01 @newtolineofduty
Yeah I defo need to rest, sadly work is an absolute mess right now with schools returning!🙄

newtolineofduty · 14/09/2021 12:47

@hoola23 you need to look after you. I bet you wouldn't advise a colleague to continue to come into work if you knew they were having a miscarriage hun 😢 x

hoola23 · 14/09/2021 13:53

@newtolineofduty I know I wouldn't! Unfortunately my manager is pretty useless and I defo can't talk to him about this! I'm going to log off bang on 5 and have a long bath and read my book
How you gettting on today? X

newtolineofduty · 14/09/2021 18:12

@hoola23 sounds good. Maybe you should try and book something nice at the weekend-have a lovely date night or something xx

I'm feeling good today thank you-decided I'm going to try and speak to the docs next week to have some blood tests for my vitamin D and iron levels just incase they're affecting anything! X

plantbasedlondoner · 14/09/2021 19:22

@hoola23 hope you are feeling better this evening x

And hope everyone else is doing ok too - September is a hectic and stressful month always! Xx

hoola23 · 14/09/2021 19:42

@newtolineofduty yeah I was thinking of doing something different this weekend but I've just felt so shit today. Zero energy and no motivation to do anything, just feel so down. Hoping it's just hormone stuff and I'll feel better tomo. I need to force myself to get my arse in gear with diet and exercise so I can focus on that and keep me busy

That sounds a good plan- GP told me that there's a shortage of blood vials so they're only doing urgent blood work at the moment. Hopefully your surgery don't have that problem though! Also- just caught up on MAFSUK. Have you watched last nights?! X

newtolineofduty · 14/09/2021 20:15

@hoola23 I'm sure it's the hormones hun. Yes I think our GP is the same so I'll see what they say. I've had no probs continuing to have them done for my thyroid stuff luckily x

Yes watched it last night. I was chatting to my mum about it and she wondered whether they have someone like frank on there to highlight what emotional abuse looks like!? Xxx

hoola23 · 14/09/2021 20:40

@newtolineofduty oh that's good you can still get bloods for thyroid etc mine said they wouldn't be able to do bloods for fertility stuff u til the vials we're back!

Interesting point about Frank- he wasn't too bad at the last episode so maybe they had a word with him! X

Nikkic2123 · 14/09/2021 20:59
@newtolineofduty yeah the line on the frer is super faint so as soon as I came home I did this one. It's the CB early detection digital which flashes when you've done enough wee collection. Really good! I'm going with this is my BFP finallllllllllllllly! Just hope it stays this way!!!!
Wow
Congratulations - was reading your post.
I used to be that one at the kids parties with no kids, or I borrowed kids but I've two fabulous kids off my own now x

CShandy01 · 14/09/2021 21:26

@hoola23 God I know how you feel chick. It's literally been non-stop since last Monday at work with the kids all back. All the testing hasn't helped. Got quite a few positive cases as well, so all staff are being encouraged to take LF's as much as possible.

DH and I enjoyed some time together before I went to pick up DD from nursery. It was like old times and we really enjoyed connecting again 🙂 we both said how we missed just cuddling in bed. So this was a cracking start to our month of TTC 😂

CShandy01 · 14/09/2021 21:28

@plantbasedlondoner honestly it's been a bit of a lightbulb moment of "just calm down"...although it's quite sad that it took a prolapsed disc in my back to get this far!

@hoola23 you deffo need to look after yourself chick. And management haven't got a leg to stand on if you need time. Make sure you're eating enough and sleeping enough too ❤️❤️

CShandy01 · 14/09/2021 21:29

@MrsRosaline what a lovely surprise for you!! 🙂❤️ what did DH say?!?!

hoola23 · 14/09/2021 21:43

@CShandy01 thank you lovely❤️ I think if I took time off I'd literally just sit on my arse and eat crap food and feel worse so I need to just get on with life now. I'll try and do something nice at the weekend with DH though.

Woohooo! Love is in the air for you! Glad you were able to have some time, it's so important for both of you. Hope it continues for your fertile week ❤️

newtolineofduty · 14/09/2021 21:55

@hoola23 it's hard to find the balance isn't it!

How often are people DTD!? I'd like to do it 7 nights in a row over the fertile week but DP feels under too much pressure! We usually manage every other night! One 'strategy' we've not tried yet is doing it 'after' ovulation. We've stopped/needed a break after the second peak/ovulation day!!!! Xxx

hoola23 · 14/09/2021 22:05

@newtolineofduty totally!

7 days in a row! God you've got energy🤣 I started trying that but always got to day 4/5 and I literally can't be arsed🤣🤣 I usually do every other day from day 7 and always two days before ovulation and aim for the day of and day after but I never managed these either! DH has managed to master exactly the right position so I get the goods as quickly as possible as I just can't keep up any serious energy sessions when it's fertile week. So bad isn't it 🤣. Ovulation day always tends to be when DSChildren are here too and I just feel so awkward! I would literally die if they came upstairs or heard anything! We're in the loft alone but they're teenagers now! Ovulation this month should be 25th sept if my app is right which would be CD13 so I've already prepped DH to make sure he's ready🤣 poor guy, I think he's been a little lost as to what to do this week. It's the first time we've had any sort of sadness experienced together but he's been so lovely and it's made me love him a little bit more (if that's possible) maybe these things happen to pull you closer ❤️

plantbasedlondoner · 14/09/2021 22:06

@CShandy01 so lovely that you had time to reconnect and have a romantic moment - it's what it's all about although TTC can make us lose sight of that at times 💛

@newtolineofduty we are very erratic - pretty rarely after ovulation although we manage the day after ovulation as well. I get quite moody in my luteal phase so that's why! Otherwise have been trying DTD every other day from CD 12 to 17 as that's what I thought is my fertile time but I got it so wrong this month. Need to get into the swing of DTD every other day but DH feels pressured! I was watching a good short Netflix video the other day about how hard it is to get pregnant and he was eavesdropping and said he learnt a lot and is going to make a proper effort now!

hoola23 · 14/09/2021 22:13

@plantbasedlondoner I do think they all feel the pressure in that week, mine especially as he knows I'll be in a huff if he doesn't deliver 🤣🤣🤣 (not seriously btw!) I always say, fertile week is his week, however or whatever he needs to get there is fine by me (within reason!) and all other times are more romantic/sexy times. If it's a weekend and the kids aren't here then I'm really chilled about it all. I think I'll do what I did last month which was DTD from CD9 as that was my first high on opk and then every other day but 2 days in a row before Ovulation

newtolineofduty · 14/09/2021 22:14

Ooh @plantbasedlondoner what was the documentary? Yes my DP feels the pressure too!

@hoola23 'get the goods' I love it! 😂 x my DP goes for ages sometimes and it's really not ok on a school night! 😂 x glad he's been lovely hun-it must be hard for them too and they must feel so out of control/lost! X

CShandy01 · 14/09/2021 22:17

@newtolineofduty I've basically taken a "whenever we can be arsed approach" but equally trying to make that every other day this month if we can. For the last 3 cycles we've just really DTD two days in a row, day off, then static smiley on OPK so that day and the next and that's it.

So we've basically said let's try every other day if we can be bothered, but I'm just watching out for my CM and he said if I notice and dramatic changes to let him know. And then we'll just try and DTD as much as we can over those fertile days but if we don't make it, it's fine. Apparently that's very similar to the SMEP method? Never heard of it - genuinely thought SMEP was something that they use in your smear test 😂😂

Oh but it was interesting - when I was at the doctors for my back I got chatting about TTC No.2 and how it hasn't happened as quickly etc. I never took folic acid or vitamins UNTIL I was pregnant last time, but my doctor recommended taking folic acid now as this may help with energy levels etc anyway. So that's the one other thing I've done, apart from not buying OPK's and pregnancy tests.

newtolineofduty · 14/09/2021 22:27

@CShandy01 yes SMEP is every other day through the whole month but three days in a row around ovulation! No way could we do that!

I've just realised DP is going to be out twice during my most fertile days this cycle and I'm out on the other argh!!! X

hoola23 · 15/09/2021 09:03

I braved it and did a pregnancy test today so I can just move on as there is zero bleeding now for 12 hours and BFN. To be expected obviously! The bleeding over the last two days has been so light so I guess chemicals can be just like a light period!

plantbasedlondoner · 15/09/2021 09:30

@hoola23 I know that was what you expected but I hope you are ok - the confirmation can still feel rubbish. And I am taking your advice on the OPKs, I think I will go for the CB ones since I am not sure about faffing around with the cheapos on days when I'm in the office!

@newtolineofduty It is called Sex, Explained and it's the fertility episode - definitely recommend. It does make you realise how many things have to happen for a pregnancy though - I don't think DH realised that the window is pretty tight around ovulation!
