Hi ladies, although got my bfp and so blessed. I’m a nervous wreck. I’m not feeling many symptoms and constantly checking to see if bleeding. Had 4 loses so tough x

Honey2 · 12/03/2022 18:56

Hi all,

Hope everyone is ok. @99pctpractice so sorry to read your news. I hope everything went as smoothly as possible when you took the medicine.

Congratulations to those BFPs and fingers crossed to those still trying.

I’m now 28 weeks with my little girl. The whole preg has been a nervous time but I can feel her wriggling as we speak to fingers crossed all will be ok. I have a growth scan next week to check all is well.

Keep up the hope xxx

99pctpractice · 13/03/2022 08:39

Hi @Honey2 I can't believe you're 28 weeks already! So amazing when you can feel the movements, so reassuring. Hope the growth scan goes well next week!!

I'm ok - the miscarriage started all by itself while I was in Spain for work so I had an awkward day of running to the bathroom and was very anxious about the flight home but it was totally fine - phew! Much more like a heavy period than my previous experience. And good not to have to medically manage it because I don't think the effects of those pills are very nice. Now somewhere between sad and optimistic - at least we have managed to get pregnant, so fingers crossed we can do again and there's at least one decent egg hiding in my ovaries. Not sure if the hycosy helped clear something for me to get pregnant or if it was just a coincidence...

Kelb79 · 13/03/2022 13:57

@99pctpractice sending love ❤️ and epic attitude!! It’s so hard to hold on to hope on this journey! Stay strong 💪🏼 😘

I can’t even get a positive on a Covid test 🤣🤣 feeling horrific today after being with someone who tested positive on Friday so was convinced I’d been got…. But nope, neggers all the way for me 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣
Bad timing - fertile window starts tomorrow and I’m a snivelling snotty mess!! 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️

Honey2 · 13/03/2022 14:25

@99pctpractice thanks 🙏 glad your MC wasn’t too horrible… not that it is ever nice, but hopefully since it was more a heavy period it won’t take too long to get back to regular cycles. And as you say - you can get pregnant!

Marvellouslymadmum · 14/03/2022 17:39

@99pctpractice inositol is in a lot if the conception vitamins including pregnacare, sucks that your mc happened while you were away but like you say at least it's done now and you can move on. I've heard a few people got pregnant after a hycosy so that could definitely have helped!
@Kelb79 sorry af came for you, sneak attacks are the worst! Rubbish that you're sick now too
@Sunnierdays7 I think after loss it's always hard to think things may go well this time, good luck and sorry for your previous losses
@Honey2 glad everything's going well for you!

I'm on cycle one if the higher dose clomid now and no ovulation peak at cd17 - here we go again!

Kirbypixel · 21/03/2022 22:45

Hello ladies,

I hope you don't mind me joining your chat.
I am 42 and ttc for two months now. I got pregnant last year at 41 first time trying. Unfortunately I had to TFMR at 19 weeks. It was a very difficult situation and nearly broke me.
Beginning of the year we made the decision with my husband to ttc again.
We have an 8 year old and I do hope that I still have one good egg to give him a sibling.
I started acupuncture in Dec along with Chinese herbs to manage my emotions and to regulate periods and I cay say that both work.
I do hope we all got our BFP soon, baby dust to all of you xx

oxfordinwinter85 · 22/03/2022 06:53

Hi @Kirbypixel. I'm 43 and trying for number 2. I have a DD1 who is 3.
Trying for about 5 months. Although I think I'm completely off with my ovulation timing!

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/03/2022 20:03

@Kirbypixel hi and welcome, so sorry to hear if your loss it must've been very painful having to make that decision.
Hopefully you'll be lucky and conceive again quickly!

JulesRimetStillGleaming · 23/03/2022 21:00

I am so so despondent. Is anybody able to talk to me about what's going on? I don't feel up to posting right now but saw the thread pop up in active threads.

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/03/2022 21:08

traceyann44 · 23/03/2022 21:37

IVF isn’t an option for us we Carnt afford it .

Wishing you all the very best on your journey of ttc and BFP !

JulesRimetStillGleaming · 23/03/2022 21:40
@JulesRimetStillGleaming I'm here if you want to chat
Thank you. I'll come back and post tomorrow. I get tearful every time I talk about it and I'm just in bed and don't want to think about it.

I'm 45 and have been through so much in the last few years. Have given up hope tbh.

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/03/2022 21:59

Hi @traceyann44 like I said in the other thread I'm sure you won't get judged here

@JulesRimetStillGleaming of course, whenever you're ready. I'm going to be 43 on Monday and after ttc for four years with no luck I'm feeling like giving up too, I just don't think I have it in me to not try anymore!

traceyann44 · 24/03/2022 07:40

Thankyou I’m really confused my af came early like 5/6 days I have a regular 29/31 day cycle I started spotting on cycle day 26 and 27 then it picked up like a regular af would stopped bleeding for 2 days af is normal 5 days .. had a little spotting yesterday and day before ..

I’ve done loads of tests and have been getting lines on all of them but not much colour to them but the line is coming up in the time frame and before . My doctors don’t do hcg blood tests so I guess I’ll have to see what happens this month I’ve never been this early for af .. maybe premenopausal or just an wonky cycle I’ll keep testing and see what happens it was the month I didn’t temp or use opks cause I just needed that break ..

But starting up again now and if I don’t get a positive on an opk I’ll know something is going on .

How are you lovely ladies today .

traceyann44 · 24/03/2022 07:47

Top one is tweaked the other 2 not I know I shouldn’t take them out the case but curiosity and all that what do you think .

oxfordinwinter85 · 24/03/2022 11:43

@traceyann44 hello just read your posts. Welcome. Absolutely no judgments here.
I'm 43 and still trying for number 2.
I don't feel like I know my ovulation pattern at the moment and had a strange AF last month...very red watery and a day early ...

traceyann44 · 24/03/2022 12:46

Hi oxfordinwinter

Thank you so much yes our bodies are strange things do you temp or use opks if not this is a good way to start I didn’t temp or use opks last month and that was the month it all messed up but I’m back on it now but getting lines on hpt is t helping ..

But I’ve read we all have hcg in our systems but I’m questioning enough for a line to appear on a test I’m so confused by them .

Sammie82i · 24/03/2022 19:32

Has anyone got pregnant at 40 losing hope x

Sammie82i · 24/03/2022 20:09

Thank you @traceyann44 it does give me some hope that im 40 some times feels like I'm on my own sometimes x

traceyann44 · 25/03/2022 06:04

I wish I was in my 40s again the older you get the more harder it seems and especially with no help from medical team I was 33 when I misscarried my first baby then 37 then 40 when I went to see my second fertility specialist he told me it was my age back then I don’t believe that.. people are having baby’s way after 40 even 60 sounds really bad but I always say if your healthy having regular periods there’s always a chance but dosnt say much about our egg quality guess we won’t know that unless you have IVF BUT that’s something we Carnt afford right now so I leave it to fate if I’m meant to be an older mom so be it .

It is hard and you do feel alone sometimes I’ve cried many nights on my own asking the angels and for why won’t you give me a baby just why I’m very spiritual and a tarot card reader but I don’t do personal pregnancy readings but if it comes up in a reading I’ll address it . But yeah lots of women feel like there alone and I think it cause there partners have no idea how it make us women feel .. I mean i have had 3 children but I feel completely useless my body is supposed to do what it supposed to do and it’s not my husband is sympathetic and supportive and I’m not saying he dosnt feel the same but I think it’s more for a woman the maternal feeling it never gose away .

Sammie here if you need to talk .

Sammie82i · 25/03/2022 06:39

Only been trying 2 cycled but still stressful only just turned 40 regular cycles I use ovulation tests always ovulating it does give me hope that people having babies in 40s baby dust to all you lovely ladies x

traceyann44 · 25/03/2022 07:19

Arrrh so not long then but I do think it takes is a little bit longer than most I’ve been ttc a successful pregnancy for 17 years I have got pregnant and miscarried 3 baby angels I don’t don’t age has anything to do with it like when I went to see a second fertility specialist he said because I was 40 my chances of having a downs baby increased yes there is a chance that could happen but do they say that to the 17 +women in there 20s and 30s who have had downs baby’s is it there age ? I don’t think so I know many people who have downs baby’s and on in fact was 17 years old and the rest in there 20s and 30s .

My point was to him I don’t care if I was to have a child with downs whatever god blesses me with I’ll be happy what’s meant for me is just that .. I was just so desperate to be heard and wanted a child so badly .. that was 10 years ago … so like I said whatever I’m blessed with I’m happy either way .

Sammie82i · 25/03/2022 07:55

Exactly hunni downs children are so loving I would be blessed i was pregnant 5 years ago so not so long but sadly lost it x

MariaDingbat · 25/03/2022 08:34

@Sammie82i It's a tough road but there is hope. I started trying at 39 and then had 2 miscarriages before getting pregnant with my daughter at 40. It took 10 months of trying and, because of my age, I was referred to a miscarriage clinic.

They did a lot of blood tests in the clinic. I have a thyroid condition so I had to make sure my TSH was under 1 and I also got an AMH test to check my egg reserves and they were thankfully good. After blood tests, the doctor at said I had a 60% chance of concerning naturally within a year at my age. She also perscribed progesterone pesseries, which are a faff but that was the pregnancy that stuck. I also took metafolate and ubiquitol every day from when we started ttc. I'd recommend reading 'it starts with the egg', is a bit over top but has some good advice.
