Thank you for the messages. Been a tough week if I'm honest. But OH wants to crack on trying so I'm back doing opks. I'm cd8. Testing day will be my 40th... in 19 days. That'll be fun 🤔 we've have had a very lazy weekend which has been nice x

Hope you all had a good Christmas and new year, needed a bit if a break from it all for a while.

Hi ladies, I need a place to put my current confusion. So I got a positive OPK CD10 and DTD CD11 sitting in TWW over Christmas so wasn't really symptom spotting as I usually would. Had 24-25 days cycles since April 2021 I'm now on CD27 and 4 HPT all negatives between 8dpo and today which would be 16dpo.
I have no idea what's going on and the only things that are different this month is I had flu really bad at the beginning of Dec and I started taking pregnenolone 3dpo.
I have no idea what's going on with my body right now.........any advice/help would be welcome x

Hey all I'm new here. I'm almost 43 and have 3 children.

I feel sad that my youngest is going to high school and we've had a conversation about another baby.

I feel like I'm making a mistake even thinking it and should be happy with my lot. But I can't get over the sadness of not having a 4th!

Anyone else my age in the same predicament

Ohmyohmy123 Hi and welcome. I'm 43 well 44 in Feb and I've got 2 daughters 21 and 17. I'm in a new relationship and he has no children which has prompted my TTC journey. If you and OH agree don't see why you wouldn't try for another. How do you think your older children would feel about a sibling? Mine aren't overly enthusiastic about it but I'm sure that will get better.

Thanks for replying. My older children are fine with it - they would love a younger sibling. I feel sad I didn't do it 5 years ago. Although two of my children are close in age and were hard work when younger.

I work with babies and I'm starting to feel sad. I have colleagues that can't have children and I feel selfish for thinking this way when I have 3 already.

@ohmyohmy123 Ah its not an easy decision to make , I really struggled to decide if I wanted more but I'm glad we decided to try.
Maybe it wasn't your time 5 years ago and now it is.
Its not selfish to want more children coz you already have 3 and its really sad that some women can't have children but that shouldn't stop you from extending your family if that's what you want.
Itsovely your older children are supportive mine just don't like to share their Mum even with each other!!

@ohmyohmy123 hi and welcome, I'm a little different as I'm coming up for 43 and have two children, my partner has two and they're all teens (14,15,16,17) we have none together. I'm desperate for a little bundle of our own and I know I'd regret it if we don't do everything we can to try. The children don't know we are ttc but I know my daughter would love a younger sibling, my son thinks he wouldn't but I'm pretty sure he would once they arrived and I'm not sure about my partners boys but we had big age gaps in my family and we are all really close still now

@Marvelouslymadmum Ah its just so frustrating 😫.
Anyway it lead to a very blunt conversation with OH about how we aren't using the full potential of fertile week and he's agreed to have more sex this week so that's a win win for us.

@DOB78 oh that's very good news! I'm hoping to get lots of dtd in over the next few days as I have high opk at the moment

@DOB78 🤞🏻 I think I'm out, had really strong ovary twinges on my right all day (they're always on the right for sons reason) and oh has decided he's not in the mood tonight 😡😡😡

@Marvelouslymadmum ah that's ssssoo frustrating, why do they do this!! They know the window of opportunity is so small, so just do whatcha gotta do and be grumpy tomorrow
I always get ovary pain on the right too.....

@DOB78 I was so cross last night! But he's got the day off today and I have a dye stealer opk so still in the ov window I think, I will just jump on him some point today 😂 it's weird isn't it? I sometimes get a dull ache in the left but real hard twinges in the right and this time they're more at the back than the front or side which is odd 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Marvelouslymadmum oh you absolutely have to dive on him at some point today!! Its really hard coz I honestly don't think they get hiw frustrating it can be every month poas waiting for 1 result or another. All they have to do is have sex with us when we want them too.......
We've planned sex this week for Wed and Fri which is crap to have to do but we're not talking at the minute. Had a petty row and we're both pretty stubborn so just have to see what happens but I ain't saying sorry first🤐🙇‍♀️

@DOB78 I don't think they get it at all! He asked yesterday what my blood test was for and I said it's my day21 progesterone to see if I've ovulated but it won't show much as I'm prob ovulating around now and he said erm ok not sure what most of that means 😂

It's horrible having to schedule it isn't it? I try not to give him too much info as he suffers with stress and anxiety as it is, but it's very frustrating when I try and seduce him and he doesn't want to play ball!!

@Marvelouslymadmum absolutely clueless about what we have to go through. I started sending him info about sex for conception as talking about it just wasn't sinking in. I don't he reads it but a girl can try.

Oh, the tiny window of opportunity and DHs not playing ball (as it were…) is so frustrating! We absolutely have to have sex today or tomorrow or we’re out and of course DD is poorly and off nursery so instead we’re juggling work and childcare and have absolutely no opportunity for a lunchtime bang or even after she goes to bed, because we have to catch up on all the work we’re missing looking after her… why do I want another?!

@stuntbubbles it's a nightmare isn't it! What frustrates me the most is even when we know we've timed it right because we've done it 543 times that month, we still don't get anywhere 😂

@Marvellouslymadmum Last month he booked his bloody booster jab for fertile time! Me: “Literally any other time of the month for you to have manflu side effects dragged out for three days.” Him: “Ah well, there’s always next month.” I’m 105, the clock is ticking!
