@oldermam what a sweetie!!!

Mattieandmummy · 29/11/2021 20:42

@oldermam I'm sorry you had a loss on shift but can I just say thank you for what you do on behalf of all the NICU babies and their parents. My daughter was in NICU, the team there not only saved her life but gave us the little girl we have today.

Mattieandmummy · 29/11/2021 20:43

@Germandi2 congratulations, have everything crossed for you x

Jem1979 · 30/11/2021 07:24

@Gemandi2 congrats! Hope the cramping dies down.

@oldermam sorry to hear about your loss at work, am sure that is a very tough job, esp when you have your own stuff going on. Glad to hear you are getting some TLC at home. Take good care of you x

Gemandi2 · 30/11/2021 09:31

@oldermam big hugs to you that sounds pretty rough glad your other half is taking good care of you - you do an amazing job in very tough conditions my eldest spent a few weeks in SCBU when he was born so not NICU but forever grateful nonetheless x

@DOB78 it's just hard to tell what the magic key will be!

@Gemandi2 congratulations! Love hearing about the bfp's!!

@oldermam sorry to hear of your loss at work, must be a very tough but very rewarding job

@Lemonbell sorry af showed for you

oldermam · 01/12/2021 19:55

Thanks ladies!

I'm back on a run of night shifts and feeling much better. I think it all just happened at the same time I was overwhelmed with hormones and financial issues which had me questioning if we are doing the right thing.

I'm more positive! My period was heavy and painful and lasted four days. OH will still be home during my "fertile window" but it's only our first proper month of trying. I'm a little run down so have upped my vitamin c too :)

Hope everyone is well :)

Congrats again Gemma! X

Ah @Lemonbell sorry the red witch arrived x

October1979 · 02/12/2021 20:06

So ladies I got my progesterone prescription from the recurrent miscarriage clinic. They prescribed me 400mg of pessaries to take twice a day. The instructions were to take from bfp but I started at 4dpo and convinced my doctor reluctantly to prescribe me enough to do this. My question is to women that have done this @Catconfusion @Honey2 I think? Did your temps continue to climb even if you weren't pregnant. My Ava temps are climbing higher than they have been before and I am 8dpo I think. Any insights would be great xx

@October1979 brilliant news keeping everything crossed for you x

October1979 · 02/12/2021 21:17

Thanks@DOB78 I have everything crossed for you too. I got all my blood tests back and everything looks good. No problems. I don't know if I'm happy or sad nothing can be fixed xx

@October1979 that’s great news you gave the progesterone! Fingers crossed this is the one. I only had one month on progesterone before I got preg, my temp did stay high until about 1 day before period came but to be honest that was normal for me. If you are seeing something different to normal let’s hope it’s a good sign! When do you think you will test? I agree it’s a double edged sword not finding anything ‘wrong’ that can be fixed… but looking at the positive it really means it can happen for you, you just need the right egg and it will come along! Xx

October1979 · 03/12/2021 06:01

@Honey2 I will test on Sunday / Monday 11-12dpo. Fingers crossed xx

@October1979 great news that you got the progesterone. Fingers crossed for you this time. The only cycle I took it early was the one I fell pregnant with this baby. I didn’t continue to temp once O was confirmed so don’t know what happened regarding temperatures. I just tested at 8dpo because I felt sickly and got a very faint positive. Hoping you get a bfp on Sunday. Xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 03/12/2021 21:07

@October1979 that's great about the progesterone! If I ever actually ovulate or get anywhere on this clomid I am Asking for it too! 🤞🏻 for this cycle for you

Gemandi2 · 07/12/2021 14:56

Hey ladies so I managed to see a private gynaecologist who totally agreed progesterone was a good idea in supporting my early pregnancy. So I'm just waiting for the pharmacy to get the 400mg in and then I'm good to go. One slight drawback the prescription was private so I have to pay £220 for the 13 week course 🤦🏼‍♀️😳

Marvellouslymadmum · 09/12/2021 10:55

@Gemandi2 that's great news! Apart from the cost 😳

Catconfusion · 09/12/2021 11:39

@Gemandi2 great news. Such a shame you had to go private for it but I think it’s worth it. I really hope everything goes smoothly with your pregnancy. Look after yourself. It’s such an anxious time. Xx

DOB78 · 09/12/2021 17:14

@Gemandi2 Brilliant news you've got progesterone prescribed but poop you've had to pay!!
Its really good that the importance of this is being recognised but crap its not more available on NHS

Gemandi2 · 09/12/2021 19:02

Thanks ladies the chap I saw was really good he talked about all the various studies and declared it's a womens right to receive and use progesterone as it isn't harmful but could be helpful. He said it was good people were beginning to be educated on the use of it. Interestingly several pharmacies did not have it nor could get it, boots and Asda both said the only time they get prescriptions all the prescriptions have been private ones - I assume bit by bit that will begin to change 🤞

Marvellouslymadmum · 09/12/2021 23:10

@Gemandi2 I would've thought this information should be sent out to all gps on the guidelines changing and a notice sent to pharmacies letting them know it will be on prescriptions more often or is that too logical of a thing to do? 🤷🏼‍♀️😂 I'm hoping that if my next cycle is this rubbish on the clomid I can talk to the consultant in January and get her to prescribe progesterone as well as upping my dose!

Honey2 · 10/12/2021 07:49

@October1979 tentatively asking how you are getting on? 💗

October1979 · 10/12/2021 08:43

Hi @Honey2 period arrived this morning. Took the progesterone from 6dpo. Stopped taking it at 12dpo after a negative frer. Was worried my af wasn't coming. But came in his morning. Fingers crossed for next month xx
