@Catconfusion thanks love, the implantation pain for this was as strong as for my daughter where as the others have been more like little pin pricks so am daring to hope. Stronger line this morning too, trying not to think about it and focus on my daughter's birthday cake.

99pctpractice · 06/11/2021 09:10

@Mattieandmummy such exciting news!!
so pleased it's all going well for you too, @Honey2 and @Lastyearttc and @Jem1979!!

@DOB78 i just got an ava for temping because i knew i wouldn't remember to temp in the mornings. i also have fairly irregular waking hours as well. you can get some decently priced second hand ones on ebay - they are super expensive first hand!

we didn't put an embryo back after the second round of ivf so i have a couple of weeks not worrying about 2ww or ttc and being able to enjoy romantic time with my husband without wondering if there'll be a baby at the end of it...! it's a revelation!

Hi just wanted to pop on to say I'm now 14 weeks pregnant with DS3. I'm 41 but will turn 42 just before the baby is born. I was on this thread for a bit ages ago but then dropped off because everything got complicated in the end my dad died, we moved country and I got pregnant all in the same very intense month this summer! It took about 7 or 8 cycles, a lot longer than with my older children (who are now 6 and 8), though I think I conceived most of the cycles we tried and had a lot of early losses, presumably due to older eggs. (I had two consecutive early losses also straight before conceiving DS1 when I was only 31.) I think the stress of my father dying and constantly having to go back and forth to my parents' / feeling like I was never in the right place was maybe a factor too we had started trying just before he first became seriously ill and this successful conception happened very soon after he died. Anyway, I just thought it would be good to pop back with a positive story. I am thrilled to be pregnant and although I've been very ill for the last eight weeks it's actually been less bad than with my older children and I'm really enjoying being pregnant now even though it's been a strange experience conceiving so soon after a bereavement and having to navigate a pregnancy / medical appointments in a second language in a new country.

Honey2 · 09/11/2021 15:08

@kalidasa so sorry about your dad… but congratulations on the pregnancy and thanks for sharing your positive story xx

Jem1979 · 09/11/2021 15:57

@kalidasa sorry to hear about your Dad but congrats on the pregnancy. I hope it continues to go well x

DOB78 · 09/11/2021 17:59

@kalidasa what an emotional roller coaster. So sorry for your loss and congratulations on your pregnancy xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 09/11/2021 19:40

@Mattieandmummy that's great news hopefully it'll all go well.

@kalidasa so sorry to hear about your father but great news about your pregnancy, congratulations 🎉 x

kalidasa · 09/11/2021 20:25

Thanks all for the good wishes. I know it can be encouraging to hear about the success stories, I read lots of these threads when we started trying and I was worried we'd left it too late for a third. Good luck to everyone!

Littlemiss41andfabulous · 10/11/2021 13:15

Congratulations @kalidasa on your pregnancy- my little girl is due just before my 42nd birthday too - she's my first.

I'm very sorry to hear about your dad. My dad died suddenly from a stroke 3 years ago and one of the hardest things is not being able to share my pregnancy (and soon to be parenting) experience with him.

XxX

Catconfusion · 10/11/2021 18:36

@kalidasa congratulations on your pregnancy. I’m so sorry to hear about your Dad. It must be such a rollercoaster of emotions after such a horrible loss.

I will be nearly 43 when my baby girl comes in March. My first few months were horrendous with the sickness too. It’s such a relief when it passes. Anyway it’s lovely to see such a positive update. Xx

Mattieandmummy · 10/11/2021 20:56

@kalidasa I'm sorry about your Dad, it's really hard loosing a parent especially I think in this context.

Congratulations on your third x

kirinm · 11/11/2021 09:07

I have decided to do OPKs this month. I stopped a few months ago. I'm using the clear blue 4 days ones. I'm CD09 and pretty sure I ovulated on CD12 last month so I would've expected a 'high' fertility by now. I'm wondering if this means I have low oestrogen levels. Does anyone have any experience of that?

Mattieandmummy · 11/11/2021 10:48

I'm not familiar with the clear blue 4 day ones but could it just be as simple as you are going to ovulate a bit later this month? I ovulate anywhere between day 13 and day 16, definitely more variation than I expected.

Yeah it could be. I was sure I was ovulating closer to CD14 before last month. I guess I'll keep testing. I'm so paranoid about peri-menopause!
DOB78 · 14/11/2021 14:29

Hi Y'all just checking in. Feeling super confused 16dpo BFN and no AF. Been having 24 day cycles for a while now so this a bit weird. I did start taking conceive plus last week and working nights although they don't usually make any difference to my cycle.

Has anyone else tried conceive plus??

October1979 · 14/11/2021 14:54

@DOB78 that is so frustrating- what type of test did you use? If it's not super sensitive maybe you just don't have enough hormone in your system yet. As they say until af comes there is still a chance. how long is you luteal phase normally? I've never used the conceive plus tablets x
