@October1979 I'd used FRER but AF arrived shortly after I'd written the message! Luteal phase is usually 14 days. Not sure whats happened this month but heyho try again.
I've bought some OPKs to try but I'm not sure how we supposed to time sex with these, super romantic😄😄. Do we wait till I get a smiley face? This was so much easier 20 years ago 🙈

October1979 · 14/11/2021 18:53

Sorry @DOB78 it's rotten when that happens. I dtd every second day from flashing smilie face and both peak days x

@DOB78 I’ve not taken concieve plus but I have definitely heard people say taking the pregnacare pre conception vitamins delayed ovulation. Maybe it has some of the same supplements in??

DOB78 · 15/11/2021 11:11

@October1979 thankyou for the advice. @Honey2 that definitely could be the case.
Let's see what November brings🤞🤞

kirinm · 16/11/2021 11:15

I finally got my peak on CD14 which is a bit later than I expected. We started DTD on CD11 mainly because logistics meant we couldn't start sooner.

It's quite odd as all of my ovulation 'symptoms' started 4 days ago. I'd always assumed that was me actually ovulating. I don't think it's made a huge difference as I've always assumed ovulation is around CD12-14ish.

It isn't very romantic @DOB78 but there comes a point when you just have to acknowledge there's a job to be done!

A happy update from me. The 20 week scan went well. Baby is healthy and growing well. I need to go back in 10 days to double check the heart as she was in an awkward position. The sonographer wasn’t worried. Just so relieved she’s ok. Xx

October1979 · 16/11/2021 20:23

Great news @Catconfusion so happy for you.
I have been prescribed progesterone at recurrent miscarriage clinic just waiting on the letter to instruct my GP. Unfortunately they couldn't give me a reason for miscarriage. But had bloods taken on Friday. When should I start taking progesterone? After ovulation or on a positive pregnancy test?
My gut feeling is telling me that the chemicals have been chromosome issues. But feel the missed miscarriage could be down to progesterone. Might be totally wrong but still hopeful. Even if I have just turned 42. This milestone has been tough reaching x

@kalidasa I am sorry for your dad, the past year has not been easy on you! Congratulations on the baby!

DOB78 · 17/11/2021 00:40

@kirinm well I've sent him a fertile week calendar with suggested best days for sex and said it's up to you now!
@catconfusion that's amazing news! Are you going to find out the gender?
@October1979 I think my losses are due to low progesterone too but we haven't been able to get pregnant again since March although I think that was stress related.
We stopped TTC for a few months it just got too much. This is our 1st proper month of trying since May

Marvellouslymadmum · 17/11/2021 10:36

@Catconfusion that's great news so glad everything is going well for you and baby girl 💕

@October1979 really hoping the progesterone works for you! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Catconfusion · 17/11/2021 14:21

@October1979 it must be so bittersweet them not finding a cause. On one hand it’s difficult to treat and prevent if you don’t know why but on the other it could just be a case of catching the right egg. I’m so sorry you’re still going through this. I really hope the progesterone helps. With this pregnancy I started at 3dpo and I do wonder if it helped with implantation. Before that with the three chemicals I started with a bfp. It’s difficult to know if it’s a coincidence that starting early seemed to support the pregnancy. I’m not sure you have anything to lose by starting early. Xx

Catconfusion · 17/11/2021 14:22

Good luck for this cycle @DOB78

We found out at 17 weeks it’s a girl and it was confirmed at the scan yesterday. Xx

Catconfusion · 17/11/2021 14:22

Thank you so much @Marvellouslymadmum it’s such a relief. Xx

DOB78 · 17/11/2021 16:02

@catconfusion aaahhh a little lady that's amazing!! Thankyou so much all I can do is hope x

Marvellouslymadmum · 18/11/2021 08:06

I'm in the negative camp today, I'm feeling so low 😔 I'm on my first round of clomid and instead of stronger ovulation I don't think I'm going to ovulate at all! I've had 6 raises in Lh up down up down but no proper temp raise I'm just stuck here waiting for what will probably be another stupid 50-60 day cycle 🤦🏼‍♀️

Catconfusion · 18/11/2021 08:19

Oh no @Marvellouslymadmum I’m so sorry to hear that. Is there someone you can speak to about it? Could the dose be altered? Maybe you need a bigger dose. I’m so sorry you’re not seeing more positive signs. Maybe when it does happen it’ll be a stronger one. Fingers crossed for you. Xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 18/11/2021 08:37

@Catconfusion thank you, I spoke to the secretary of the main gynaecologist on Tuesday who said they usually try two months and if still no ovulation they may up the dose, but she also said I can have a second blood test this month if I think I've ovulated late, I did think I was going to but now I'm not sure my temps are just so unreliable this month and I don't know what's going on! Just feeling like nothing is ever going to work for us 😔 xx

Catconfusion · 18/11/2021 11:28

@Marvellouslymadmum it sounds so frustrating. What cd day are you on now? Did they do the follicle scan? Xx

DOB78 · 18/11/2021 14:24

@Marvellouslymadmum so sorry to hear youre feeling this way. I've no experience with Clomid so can't comment but I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you x

Honey2 · 18/11/2021 22:24

@Catconfusion great news! You really are on the home straight now.

@October1979 I took the progesterone from 4DPO after lots of reading I decided it made sense to take it to help with implantation. As long as you are sure you have ovulated I couldn’t find any reason not too…

@Marvellouslymadmum sorry you’re having a hard time of it. It sounds so frustrating… good that you have access to gynaecologist though.

We decided to get the NIPT Test done privately.. I went tonight and had a scan and bloods done. Scan all looked fine (11+3) and the sonographer said nucal measurement was very small so that’s positive. Fingers crossed the results of bloods don’t take too long. Will be a nervous wait!

Tillybabs · 18/11/2021 23:05

Hi ladies I hope you don't mind me joining this thread. I've been TTC for just over a year. I was referred for IVF and discovered I have suspected adenomyosis. Apparently this is common and especially amongst women from 40-50. Does anyone else have this?

I haven't always had this and it seems I've developed it in later years.

So I had my EC and on cycle 1 from
16 eggs collected we have 4 good quality embryos that have been frozen. I'm now just awaiting an MRI and hysterocopy and then looks like they will suppress the adeno before doing a transfer.

I just wondered if anyone else has experience of this.

Catconfusion · 19/11/2021 07:35

@Honey2 great news about the NIPT. It’s so reassuring the NT is looking small. Although ours was larger side of normal and our baby is ok. It did cause a lot of worry at the time though. I hope the results come in quickly but the positive scan definitely points to all being alright. Xx

Honey2 · 19/11/2021 08:14

@Catconfusion thanks! Was also going to ask you.. when did you stop progesterone? Consultant said 12 weeks but I gave enough to carry in to 16 and I was wondering if to just keep going… Midwide said won’t do any harm.

Catconfusion · 19/11/2021 09:45

@Honey2 I was told 12 weeks but I had enough for 14 so stopped then. The last week I took it every other day to scale it down. With my ds I took it until 16. So it’s whatever you feel comfortable with.

DOB78 · 19/11/2021 18:05

@Honey2 that's fantastic news. Hope you arent waiting too long for results.

Those that have been prescribed progesterone, did you have bloods done 1st? I'm wondering if my GP would just prescribe this after 2 CPs? Any info appreciated.

@Tillybabs welcome to the group
