Oh that sounds like a fab holiday. I love to ski - such a perfect holiday - loads of fresh air and exercise during day and good food and wine in the evening! I know what you mean about putting your life on hold - i feel like my world revolves around TTC and then trying not to MC at the moment. Will def have a break from it for a couple of months if this one doesnt work.

Hopefully we will all be able to meet up one day with these babies we all desperately want!

I hope you dont see the slopes either

MrsWednesday · 11/12/2007 19:23

Oh my goodness justjules, you have been through such a lot. It sounds awful.x

In answer to your question, I'm very lucky as I have two DSs - this pregnancy was an unexpected but nevertheless welcome surprise. Not sure I'll be able to try again - I get the impression DH isn't keen after all we've been through.

Has anyone had testing after having multiple m/c? My notes will only record two as the other ones were early and I didn't bother to go to the doctors about them, so I'm thinking they won't do much for me.

Lcy, can completely understand your dilemma - it's a tough decision.

Wheeley, skiing sounds great. Would love to do the same.

Emmsy1 · 11/12/2007 22:06

Hi girls, hope all this bleeding stops soon so you can get on with enjoying your pregnancies. Welcome to Mrs Wednesday, sorry you are with us,but as the girls have pointed out you couldn't have picked a better place to be when your going through or have been through MC. I have had 3 MC and also have children, the last two pregnancies have ended in MC and every time I ask the Doc any questions about why this is happening now, and does it link to any of the other health issues that have been under question in the last 15 months, he just shrugs his shoulders. If I knew there was any underlying reason for my MC I would definately stop trying for our last baby, I'm just going to wait and see what happens, If I,m ever lucky enough to be pregnant again and have that tiny baby in my arms I am going to love it to bits, if its not meant to be, I will just have to except it. Its just the not knowing that gets me down, If I get pregnant again will I be unknowingly killing another child if I MC and its related to an underlying medical condition that has not yet been diagnosed???

Hope your scan goes OK this morning jules x

goingfor3christmaspuddings · 12/12/2007 09:27

Good luck Jules

sfxmum · 12/12/2007 09:55

good morning all

jules good luck

hope everyone is holding up

Emmsy I think most doctors are unwilling to investigate further because they take the view that 1 in 4 pg end in miscarriage and unless you have 3 in a row with no live births they will not automatically refer you. may not be fair and it is quite distressing for us but it is often the rationale applied
you can push for a specialist appointment / investigation and you can go private but otherwise it is the long distressing 'game'

yesterday was a difficult day and my only goal today is to go out for a walk with dd, it is not good for my head to be indoors all day.

popsy76 · 12/12/2007 10:26

Hi ladies, hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful crips morning - I am officially on annula leave but am working of course
Had a fab time with Ronshar yesterday evening - pink Champagne and TAAAAAAAAAAAALKING non stop - how are ya Ronny? Make it back okay?
Wheely wish you had come - was so last minute - will arrange something with more notice next time - (I needed it to be last minute otherwise I wold have chickened out - feels naughty meeting in real life - but now I'm a convert) was thinking ALBS and Gilly are in London too...and Herby I think but haven't see her posting anywhere?
Off to squeeze some oranges - have given upon the veg box for a month cos everything is just rotting - am gonna juice everything so I don't feel bad cmposting it

herbaceous · 12/12/2007 10:46

Hi Popsy! I'm still here, but something of a misery guts, and getting too jealous of all the BFPs, so have not been posting much in case some embittered rant comes out at an undeserving lady.

Champers. Mmmmm. In fact, I'm off to a do this evening at the champagne bar at St Pancras! Get me!

popsy76 · 12/12/2007 10:53

Hi herby so fab to hear from you - I know what you mean about being an embittered old hag - I never thought it would be me still here while the rest of them are off popping out the pups but am getting used to it day by day sorry month by month sod it its a bloody year ha ha!We were at St Pancra last night - is cls so wrapupwarm. There was a group of old people sat next to me when I was waiting for Ronny to turn up - it must have made their day ear wigging into our convo - they left soon after that, some suits came over and left pretty quickly too
How are you doing? Are you still having tests etc?

popsy76 · 12/12/2007 10:55

sorry seem to have lost the use of my typing hands this morning
I meant it is cold so wrap up warm!
I want to go to the coffee shop downstairs next - all yummy cakes, wooden tables and big coffees - reminded me of new york (even though french - french cafes don't look like that!)
maybe we can get together there in 2008!

Wheelybahhumbug · 12/12/2007 11:23

Thinking of you today Jules - hope the scan goes ok. How are you doing Lcy and SK ?

Popsy - I'll definitely try and be there next time - champagne or cake (both ?) I'm easy !

herbaceous · 12/12/2007 12:03

I had a test to see if I've got any eggs left - the LH and FSH levels - and they were remarkably good (about 4, if I remember rightly), especially for my age (42, just), but they may all be knackered.

I too had inappropriate TTC conversation with a friend in a v crowded sushi bar - we were squeezed in between two other lots of people, yet talked loudly about, even, EWCM. Rather embarrassing.

Talking of EWCM, came to the realisation that maybe I wasn't having any because of the decongestant I sprayed up my nose each night to stop me snoring. And, indeed, now I've stopped there's gallons of the stuff! TMI, it's true, but you ladies all know how pleasing stuff like this can be.

ronshar · 12/12/2007 12:05

Hey ladies. I am still amazed at my courage to actually suggest a meet and then turn up!! The champange is definetly worth the trip to St Pancras.
Popsy it was bloody marvelous to meet you. I think the oldies had to leave because we were talking sooooooo much there wasnt enough oxygen left for them to breathe properly.

Wheely, Herby you are more than welcome to join us next time. We are thinking of a MC 07 survivors meet up. Only those who will get smashed are allowed

ronshar · 12/12/2007 12:10

AHH that could be linked to my appointment at Allergy clinic yesterday.
The doctor said that there is a correlation of my increase in allergy symptoms and my 2 MC's this year. Especially as I have 2 DDs with no problems!
Herb check your ingredients and see if contra-indicated for early pregnancy. Some decongestants are.

ronshar · 12/12/2007 12:13

oops not sure how that happened

popsy76 · 12/12/2007 12:16

Hi Ronshar Just chuckling at your message...am sitting here eating green and blacks 85% coco choc (lovely student obviously wants good grades!) and having 2nd blooming marvellous cup of tea of the day. Hey just think - MC 07 survivors meet up means we have something to be pleased about if we're not PG - cos we can then drink like fish, talk like fish wives and cry inappropriately

Herby - I probably told you this before but my (41 yr old) friend had 3 MCs from 2006-2007. She then got PG again and is due in January (I can not be jealous of her cos she's an MC kindred spirit but i still remember her walking in the room and me (the deep bad part) thinking shit she's pregnant (PG radar on full blast!) who am i going to talk to now???))

popsy76 · 12/12/2007 12:19

p.s. ronny you can then tell the snivelling wreck that is popsy to pull herself together in a caring yet firm way ...and pour me another glass

ronshar · 12/12/2007 12:24

Right young lady (I can say that as I am older). Other ladies who are pregnant are all horrible and are just there to make you feel bad. Dont let them.
Remember that as a non-pregnant lady you can go to the USA and ski your legs off. When you have finished skiing you can go to a bar, still in your gear, and sit at the bar and drink until you need to be carried home by your DH who will then try to take advantage of you!! Try doing that while fat!

ronshar · 12/12/2007 12:26

By the way the chocolate money didnt make it past Clapham Common. At Gatwick I had to throw away the wrappers

popsy76 · 12/12/2007 12:29

oooh fab idea - (not sure about skiing my legs off sounds painful and as snowboarder is more likely boarding my arse off - spent one year with towel stuffed down back of pants and )
Don't worry am not snivelling now - feel ultra positive after meting you yesterday - you should hire youself out!
Think am gonna get all my kit out today and work out how much shopping I need to do before the big trip yeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh

Ha ha -I ate mine at 10am this morning, hid the wrappers behind the laptop so didn't have to share them with DH . That is why I am now on G & B.. sod lunch -it has all the nutrients a lady needs

alittlebitshy · 12/12/2007 12:32
