The more the merrier. It is only restricted by alcohol intake. Good to hear from you Gilly. I am also worried about Torres. It is very unlike her not to be around somewhere. Do you think the Slap-Cheek got her??

Sorry Popsy I didnt mean to offend. As a fellow Boarder I understand the insult. I shall have to add you to my Snowboader Army on face book.

popsy76 · 12/12/2007 12:35

sfxmum · 12/12/2007 12:39

i was there at beginning of this year ALBS -mae PG really stressful cos I was stressing about being PG, about my job and about his as he thought his company might go under...now i never ever would wish what has happened on myself and would give anything to turn clock back but a tiny teeny part of me thinks that I am actually better off now than i would have been with a 3 month old baby - new job, more money, less stress, DH business working well ...okay grasping at straws but ronny has got me thining super positive! When DH was really bad about his job I just had to tell him t stop sharing it wioth me cos my main priority was being PG...didn'thelpof course cos I MC'd anyway but maybe you should talk to him?

popsy76 · 12/12/2007 12:50

Jules - with all this telepathic Jules-love going on your beanie is in good hands! Here's to spending the next 7 months working on being as sloth-like as possible!

SantasGotABigFatEllieG · 12/12/2007 13:50

Go jules and mini-jules! Great news!

ronshar · 12/12/2007 13:54

Thats great news Jules. I forbid you to do anything other than eat B&Js. But be careful as too much and you will end up with gestational diabeties.
Although you only get that when you are very pregnant so that is something to aim for
(Not that that is a joking matter of course)

splishsplosh · 12/12/2007 13:56

fab news Jules & Albs

Wheelybahhumbug · 12/12/2007 14:10

Great news ALBS and Jules. Hang on in there.

Gilly - DH too promised to do his sample last night (the one he was supposed to do before we went on hols in Aug !). I think he knew to promise this before I brought it up whilst sobbing about CD1.

I hope you're right about Basil - I thought she'd decided not to ttc for a while after a second m/c but I may have missed the last bit. Basil, if you're out there come and update us.

I too hope Torres is ok.

Look forward to a meet up of fellow failures ().

gillystarrynight · 12/12/2007 14:18

Not failures - survivors!!!!

Wheelybahhumbug · 12/12/2007 14:21

sorry

popsy76 · 12/12/2007 14:21

bring on Gloria Gaynor... all together now ladies..."First I was afraid, I was petrified....la la la la la

Christmaspartypoppers · 12/12/2007 14:26

Hey ladies check out the new festive name ...all the others I could think of were rude or food-based (or a bit of both )

Christmaspartypoppers · 12/12/2007 14:27

p.s. is popsy here in case you didn't get it - abit far fetched I know but some of us aren't blessed with festive sounding nicknames

imdreamingofawhiteKITTYmas · 12/12/2007 14:30

jules - great news what a little battler you have in there

ALBS - good news for you too

right me update - had a bit of brown gunk when I wiped this morning so phone EPAS at 9am. Got passed up to the maternity word and then passed over to someone else so had to tell my story 3 times. Anyway was told EPAS is booked solid so no scan appointments and that if it was old brown blood then it was probably OK and I would be having a scan in 2 weeks anyway. Was told to phone again if the bleeding went red and I started cramping.

Had to see my GP today anyway to tell him I was pregnant and to get booked in with the MWs. GP was lovely tried to be reassuring, even got his uterus and placenta pics out to tell me about the placenta sometimes lifts at this stage causing bleeding and that brown blood is old blood. Also told him that last time I only had brown blood yet I went on to mc so I don't believe the brown blood is OK thing. Anyway he told me not to worry and to go and enjoy Christmas! Receptionist that took my details said I wouldn't see a MW until 16 weeks but I don't think this is right as last time I was booked in to see a MW at 12 weeks.

So thats where I am at, sent home to worry and not to phone unless I start bleeding heavy or in pain.

Part of me is seriously thinking about faking some symptoms next week so I can have a scan but I think that would be tempting fate too much. DP says I have to put it to the back of my mind and try not to think about it.

KashaSarrasin · 12/12/2007 14:55

Fantastic news ALBS and Jules!!! SK that's awful that they won't scan you . Is there any chance of you being able to get a private scan? The one I was booked for (but never got to go to in the end) was £70, so OK not cheap but maybe worth it rather than just stuck at home worrying?

Good afternoon to everyone else! I'm very excited as a friend is babysitting DS tonight so that me and DH can go to the cinema and then for a drink afterwards - oh the novelty!

kate2179 · 12/12/2007 19:00

Yay ALBS and jules !!!! !!
But SK although glad GP was nice at least... My private scan was £50, there seem to be more and more places aroud who do them. A list of places in each county who are recommended by the Fetal Medicine Foundation is available on this page Good luck!
