August TTC

Hi Ladies

Thought I would create a channel for July / August TTC for those who didn't receive their BFP's this time around

I'm on CD2 now after sadly AF arriving. TTC no1 at 32 and this will be Cycle 4

I'm currently isolating with Covid after having 1 jab (which really messed with cycle 2 and 3) expecting DH to test positive v soon!

So sorry if I miss anyone or if you haven't got your AF yet or had a BFP ! But wanted to capture a few people as I've found these channels super helpful!

Hi everyone, hopping on the August bus! Congratulations to those with their BFPs, fantastic news!

Good luck to everyone still on their TTC journeys!

Been TTC for 9 months, and on my first AF since MC in June so only on CD2 but hoping to follow everyones journey and have some company when it comes to the TWW!

Been taking folic acid but ordered pregnacare vitamins with Inositol and CoQ10 to try and help regulate my irregular cycle. Anyone got any experieces with these?

Northofthebordermum · 03/08/2021 16:24

First time posting (and still getting my head round the acronyms!) but TTC no.2 (DS has just turned 2). I'm 38 and conception happened so easily first time round, I almost wasn't prepared for it.
This month will be CD5 but I'm already getting anxious that I'm not going to be able to get pregnant again :-( not helped by the fact one of my friends currently experiencing secondary infertility and paying for IVF this month...
I know 4 tries isn't many - I just need to be patient I think! Not my strong suit.. But nice to have somewhere to get the worry out. Good luck everyone!

DeviousImp17 · 03/08/2021 19:54
@DeviousImp17 how many DPO are you?
I’m 11 DPO. I’m now due until Sunday, so I’m about 6 days. I know it’s too early to test, just couldn’t help myself!

I had mild achy cramps today and then I wiped dark brown. It’s too early for AF so 🤞🏾 It’s IB.

DeviousImp17 · 03/08/2021 19:55

*not instead of now

WantStickyBean · 03/08/2021 21:03

@Anxiousnewbie I'm almost through my second pack of pregnacare vitamins, I haven't found they changed my cycle (though I was regular before).

DH has found somewhere called Wild Nutrition that claims to have more bio-available vitamins, but they're mega-expensive.

WantStickyBean · 03/08/2021 21:05

@LeeTTCRainbow I'm pleased you're recovering well. Wedding must be a great distraction but yes can imagine how tough this anniversary is going to be.

BritInNZ · 03/08/2021 21:13

Was due AF yesterday but nothing arrived. Keep getting the odd cramps here and there and I'm sure AF is on the way. I've been sick for the last week so I think that may have delayed AF, although oddly I haven't had sore boobs this month, which I get every cycle! Haven't bothered testing, think I'm going to wait a bit longer to see if AF arrives. I've been in touch with fertility clinic this month to organise some tests as we're now 7 months in and I think it will help give me peace of mind.

mallowmoon93 · 03/08/2021 21:40

@BritInNZ I need your self restraint in my life! Keep us updated!

BritInNZ · 03/08/2021 21:51

@mallowmoon93 hahaha I just prefer seeing AF than a negative test! Plus the longer my period doesn't arrive and I haven't tested, the longer I stay in the hopeful stage 😂 if AF doesn't arrive today I might test tomorrow, but I keep getting odd cramps here and there so I'm fully prepared for it to arrive today!

Speccybibliophile · 03/08/2021 22:53

Caught up on this thread after a while. So very lovely to see some more BFPs and hopefully those that have been disappointed won't have too much longer to wait. AF is one day late for me and the flo app keeps telling me to test! Like @BritInNZ I prefer to be told by AF that it's not my time rather than see a BFN, which just upsets me too much. I feel all the usual PMS symptoms but I felt the same with my last pregnancy so a part of me is still hopeful.

BritInNZ · 03/08/2021 23:22

@Speccybibliophile let us know how you get on? This would be my first so I'm not sure what's normal/not normal! I suspect being sick is making me late. Like you, Flo
keeps popping up telling me to test too!

Borgonzola · 03/08/2021 23:22

Cycle number 1, completely new to this. Can I join too Smile

Borgonzola · 03/08/2021 23:24

(Just starting my first 2ww now Blush)

Rachy11 · 04/08/2021 03:27

Hopping aboard this thread. Really thought July would be my month but woke up and af is here 😢. 37 and ttc number 2. On seven seas vitamins and tracking on ovia. Think I may use ovulation tests this month. Can anyone recommend ones? Good luck to everyone xxx

WantStickyBean · 04/08/2021 08:15

@Rachy11 sorry AF got you. I'm just waiting to start after my temp plummeted this morning.

I use the clear blue digital sticks (with the flashing/static smiley faces) and then the easy@home sticks. The reason I do both is because I like the flashing smiley indicator of my oestrogen surge, but the CB detects my LH surge too early so without the easy@home sticks we stop DTD too soon.

WantStickyBean · 04/08/2021 08:16

There were a few people on the last thread talking about using fertililys - has anyone tried it yet?

Missy95 · 04/08/2021 08:43

Morning ladies.
Congratulations to BFPs. And sorry to hear about BFNs.

AF arrived for me a few days ago, 2 days early! So I have spent the last few days feeling sorry for myself and getting into my usual rut. But I have given myself a wobble today and im ready for the August bus now. Moving onto cycle 8 off TTC baby number 1 after a loss. Im still trying a 'relaxed approach' this month, im not sure if it has eased my anxiety at all or if it is even a good idea, but we will work with it. Fingers crossed for anyone still waiting for their BFPs this month! ✨ xxx

Anxiousnewbie · 04/08/2021 09:54

@WantStickyBean there's just so many vitamins that's supposed to help with conception out there, it's a bit of a minefield and as you say cost a fortune!

aurus · 04/08/2021 09:59

Welcome @Borgonzola :) I'm in the same boat as you, first cycle and totally new to this!

Cherryblossom21 · 04/08/2021 10:09

Hi ladies, AF arrived 2 days early for me (that never happens) and means I only had a 24 day cycle this month. I’m assuming it’s because of the mc, it’s my second AF since it so I thought it would just be back to normal.
It’s my first cycle ttc since the mc so I actually feel ok as wasn’t expecting too much. Hopefully August brings better news for me, and everyone on here that don’t have their BFP yet.

Cherryblossom21 · 04/08/2021 10:14

@Rachy11 sorry AF came, I’m in the same boat. Hopefully August is our month.
I use the same as @WantStickyBean, the CB with the flashing smiley (have also used the one with the non flashing smiley and liked that too) and the easy@home sticks. I just started the easy@home ones last month and started logging them on the premom app. Xx

LadyoftheWoods · 04/08/2021 10:36

@Rachy11 I've bought the femometer ones from Amazon but I've yet to use them so no idea what they're like! The clear blue ones looked really expensive to me so I might try them if I don't get any joy in the next couple of months

@WantStickyBean my friend actually used a fertilily and did get pregnant, but I guess it's tough to know if it did help

ginandgiggles · 04/08/2021 11:38

hi all! Just read through and caught up on the updates, congrats to the BFP's and hugs to the BFN's - keep your chin up.

first cycle on ttc, currently 8DPO with period allegedly due on Monday. This my first month without my implant or any contraceptive support so although I don't think it'll happen that fast I'll still keep my fingers crossed. I track my BBT and I used OPK's and successfully caught the ov window, DTD leading up to and on the day of, and have had all the right other body cues like CM, horniness (lol), etc.

I am quite a practical person but yesterday I was a blubbering wreck over literally nothing. I have some light tugging / pulling in my abdomen with the odd sharp pain and a little bit of nausea. No sore boobs or anything. I also had a temperature drop this morning which could be an implantation dip but who knows. The issue I have is that I haven't had a cycle without some form of contraception since i was 17 and am now 33 so I literally have no idea what my natural set up is. I don't know if I get AF symptoms a week before or not, I just always dealt with it when it came. I am going to try to avoid testing until Tuesday (I know!) and see what happens. Hope you don't mind me hopping on?

WantStickyBean · 04/08/2021 13:13

@Cherryblossom21 sorry to hear AF got you Sad. But looks like we're cycle buddies again this month. I quite like that I've got 2 chances in August because of my shorter cycles, really hoping that the end of August is better than the start!

Welcome to all the new joiners Smile.

Capricorn8990 · 04/08/2021 13:19

@mummytoolive I'm so sorry 😢! Ohhh I may have to invest in some of that. Let me know how you get on with it and it you think it's worthwhile xx
