@slothmamatobe I tried calling but they're not open on a Sunday. Am I completely crazy to be considering booking a private scan for this afternoon? My back feels worse although I had to get the dog out a walk before it got too hot so that probably didn't help.

Wow new thread!
No I don’t think crazy at all, at the same time I don’t think you should overly worry. if it was pink stained cm could be related to you having a dodgy tummy ? I know for me I’m prone to spotting because I have a cervical ectropian and so is sensitive to ‘trauma’.
On the other hand, if you are having worsening abdominal pain/back pain then could try nhs111 and see what they suggest?
Hope you’re ok 💜.

LemonDrizzle44 · 25/07/2021 13:00

@ContadoraExplorer thanks for starting a new thread. I agree with @SlothMamaToBe, I don't think it would hurt to call epau or 111, even just for some advice on what to do. Hope your ok x

@SlothMamaToBe & @acupofteamakeseverythingbetter AF due Friday/Saturday too. I had a really strong urge to test this morning. I'm 10dpo and probably too early!

@ContadoraExplorer I had pink spotting happen twice to me, the last time at 7 and a half weeks roughly. I immediately thought the worst, and booked a private scan. It was a tiny haematoma visible in the uterus measuring 1 cubic cm. The sonographer said it can be common when the placenta is embedding in more. Often they are reabsorbed, but (tmi) I had been constipated and so it pushed some out. They aren't harmful.

The scan was good reassurance though, so not crazy at all to book one. I had another scan at 10+4 and another haematoma was seen, even though I've had no more spotting.

Just one thing they said - don't have sex for two weeks after seeing spotting, and don't lift heavy things for a bit. So I took it as an excuse to put my feet up for a few days.

Hope you're okay, it's stressful seeing any blood x

Just to mention, EPU didn't seem to worry (in my area) as spotting is common apparently, and they'd want to see me if there was heavier red blood and severe pain. I gave my midwife the details from my private scan at my booking in and she didn't seem at all concerned either

Belle34 · 25/07/2021 18:43

@ContadoraExplorer thx for creating a new one 🤗
Bleeding in early pregnancy is common but would be good to get checked out to give urself peace of mind. Also would give an opportunity to see ur bean 😍

@LemonDrizzle44/@acupofteamakeseverythingbetter/@SlothMamaToBe - can't wait to hear from you guys on how you get on with testing, so exciting, almost an end to TWW🤞it happens for u this month🌈

@Unicornish how r u lovely?

Cd 21 still no sign of ovulation other than EWCM 🙄 think this cycle is a dud for me

Unicornish · 25/07/2021 19:14

@ContadoraExplorer how scary. I know spotting is very common in early pregnancy. As an anecdote, I spotted regularly (and quite heavily at times) when I was pregnant with DD. With the pregnancy I miscarried I had no spotting at all. So it really doesn't always mean the worst by any means. I hope you're ok. It is so worrying. Did you go for a scan today in the end? (And thank you for starting a new thread.)

Fingers crossed for ovulation ASAP @Belle34!

I started my period about an hour ago. It is really heavy and definitely not implantation. I actually had a very faint line on FRER this morning so I think I've had a chemical pregnancy. I feel sort of ok though. I'm thinking of taking this cycle off from temping and opks because I think I just need a bit of a break from it.

ContadoraExplorer · 25/07/2021 22:34

Thanks ladies. I couldn't find anywhere with availability so didn't book anything. Nothing really happened all day, wipes were back to normal but(total TMI) just been for another poo and I knew as soon as it was happening that more blood was coming out. It was darker than this morning and there was a tiny (like a few mm long) thicker bit that I'm not sure is a clot or not.

I had a little bleed with DD too but think it was around 5 weeks and I think it was less liquid (although it was a couple of years ago now so maybe my memory is tainted). I was feeling a little better until now but not much I can do. Have put another pad in and will see how things are tomorrow. EPU will be open and I'll call them first thing. If I'm still feeling worried and if they can't do anything I'll consider booking something private tomorrow (place reasonably close by is open later although it will mean telling the inlaws as they'll wonder why I'm finishing work at a normal time 🙈)

Fingers crossed I'm worrying for nothing but definitely feeling a wee bit down right now.

Sending a virtual handhold @ContadoraExplorer. I hope that you're able to get some sleep tonight and that EPU are helpful and able to provide some reassurance tomorrow.

SlothMamaToBe · 26/07/2021 07:08

Thinking of you @ContadoraExplorer 💜. Hope you can be checked over today x

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 26/07/2021 07:56

@ContadoraExplorer good luck for today, hope you manage to get checked out

ContadoraExplorer · 26/07/2021 08:38

Thank you. I have called and left a message on their VM now, hopefully they'll call me back this morning.

No more bleeding over night - had to pee twice and wipe was fine so I'm hoping it's just something being forced out and nothing too serious.

Belle34 · 26/07/2021 10:04

@ContadoraExplorer that's comforting to know there's no more bleeding, I hope it stays that way and all is ok 🍀 ❤️ Sending lots of positive vibes ur way!!

ContadoraExplorer · 26/07/2021 11:10

They've called back and said to monitor it over the next 24 hours but know that way you replay conversations in your head after and she said "we might bring you in for an early scan but don't want to meddle too early in what your body is doing" and she said the body bit a couple of times so now I'm thinking she suspects it's a not good news.

I've just booked a private scan for tonight. At least I'll know either way. Its the not knowing that I can't handle.

@ContadoraExplorer I'm so glad you've got a private scan booked, good luck

SlothMamaToBe · 26/07/2021 16:37

Really hope your scan goes well @ContadoraExplorer x

ContadoraExplorer · 26/07/2021 18:14

Baby fine 😭❤ The people at the scan were lovely, put me at ease, had a wee check first and confirmed really quickly that we had a heartbeat and everything looks ok. She then did an internal scan to see if she could see any reason for the bleeding and couldn't see anything obvious.

EDD moved forward a few days which actually makes us due on our wedding anniversary. God I had such a horrible day but so happy right now.
