Your service has been interrupted as your normal bus driver has connectivity issues. Just as well there's a driver out there who's done the route as cover before...! As ever, apologies if I've got any of it wrong!

Here is the bus where anything goes, and chat isn’t just TTC it’s anything. Ranting very much encouraged to her things off your (are they sore boobs?!) chest. The last bus had loads of work promotions too & we’ve still got interviews so hopefully it’s a lucky bus in more ways than just making babies.

We are here to help and support each other & anything goes. We’ve had losses, heartache & some super fertile short ride passengers so welcome all.

The price of your bus pass is an embarrassing story please, doesn’t have to go be TTC related but can you beat breaking a guy’s banjo in a BJ or whilst DTD?! 🤞🏻🙌🏻

And if you see mention of minster's blog then blame the ladies on the thread but @minster2012 needs to carry on with it it, I’ve been lazy! #shamelessplug

@DKDK123 of course it's not a waste, but I can imagine how awful it must feel. You'll get there x have a good break

@Lexber gosh that's awful, and it puts you in an awkward position. She must be at the end of her emotional tether bless her

@paintfairy well that's bloody annoying isn't it! Why can't they pull their finger out, honestly I feel like they don't account for how well we know our own cycles sometimes.
And I know it's not everyone, I just read someone saying that the pregnancy updates made them find this thread tricky so I'm just mindful I think. I know it was hard for me too. I can't wait to see how everyone's journey turns out, we've been in it a long time together haven't we!

@kaylsd good luck! 🤞🏼

@Minster2012 I love all the many pics of your pee and an opk in various locations 😂

kaylsd · 27/07/2021 13:42

@paintfairy I've just caught up on your entry is there no way you could ask them for a second opinion as they seem so set on you going ahead when you know your body and your cycle more than what they know on their paperwork notes? Sending hugs xx

paintfairy · 27/07/2021 13:47

@kaylsd I did question them. But she said Monday and Friday are their busy days and they just can't fit me in. She said we could abandon if I wanted. But if we go ahead and miss it I've technically lost nothing as I'd get another go if it doesn't work. And at least this way the drugs might help me anyway. Which she's right. For me it's more that this keeps dragging on because they can't get their act together and I'm edging towards 39.

becarefuloutthere · 27/07/2021 13:58

@paintfairy you poor thing, I really don't get why it's such hard work for them. I'm sorry, but you cope so well with the stress! Well done.

Mumlili9 · 27/07/2021 14:02

@ Laurenxx94 hi yes April was 27 may was 22 June was 29 and July was 18 so all below the need 30 to say yes you ovulated. Im so upset by this.
@Juno231 just weight watchers. On blue plan never leaves me hungry either. I dont go to meeting its all on line . I was sceptical but so far im doing great.
@larrythelizard I've been with RMC since 2019 and still nothing being done really , it's just test after test, I've not actually been physically seen in ages it's all been over the phone. My next telephone appointment isn't until 21st September.

Vil10 · 27/07/2021 14:57

@Minster2012 he is so so gorgeous, and getting so big!! They've re booked to speak to him on Thursday now, whether that'll happen I don't even know!

@Laurenxx94 @Juno231 well they added it in and they've just rang again now saying I need to book in for another set of bloods for my progesterone to be tested on day 21, but say i only ovulate around CD 17/18?? I'm so confused?? @Juno231 nope never rang him, so he rang them and they've re booked it for Thursday now!

@DKDK123 the break and relaxing will definitely do you good lovely, and who knows, with taking your mind off it it might just be what was needed🤞🏼 he has grown so so much!! Yeah I'm definitely not expecting much now, I just feel like the process is going to be so long!!

@Lexber 🤞🏼 for you!

@becarefuloutthere well now they've thrown a complete spanner in the works, saying I need to have it done on day 21 so will need to be next cycle but I only ovulate on day 17/18??

@paintfairy omg how annoying!! I feel like they just don't care and try to think they know our bodies better than us!!

@kaylsd he is adorable, I just love him!! Honestly I'm not even expecting anything from these bloods because I feel like they're all messed up!! Ahhh that's so exciting!!❤️

I really am about to lose my shit, gp has rang back saying they won't do my progesterone bloods tomorrow because they need to be on day 21 so when im in tomorrow I need to book them for next cycle, before I could say anything the phone was put down, I only ovulated on CD18 this cycle so CD21 is too early right?? I honestly feel like crying!!

Vil10 · 27/07/2021 15:03

So I feel like a right soft arse, but OH has just come in and asked why I've got a face on, and I just burst out crying at how unfair it is and how we have to go through this process and how shit the doctors are being, I think I'm just having one of those days, need to get a grip😂

Laurenxx94 · 27/07/2021 15:23

@Mumlili9 that's a shame so sorry have they said they will give you supplements ? , I heard above 15? Everywhere goes differently tho .
My first progesterone was the month I conceived and it came back 21 but I unfortunately miscarried so I personally think it was low progesterone that caused this as I didn't have enough to sustain a pregnancy , I've been keeping up with vitamins and it obviously risen to 42 so possibly they are helping or I was maybe couple days out last time.

Laurenxx94 · 27/07/2021 15:24

@Vil10 where I am you have to book your appointment so I waited till I got
My peak and booked my bloods for 8 days after that as I would usually ovulate day after then go by 7 days past this, hope this helps.

Also I have had many outbursts of tears recently
It's so unfair 😞 sending big hugs xx

Juno231 · 27/07/2021 15:54

@vil10 you're 100% right and he's being a prick. If you get pushback like that again (eg next cycle...) then remember that the NICE guidelines say it should be 7 days before your period and tell him that's when this is. I would have cried too - it's incredibly frustrating and stressful to be dealing with people that make decisions over you yet don't listen to a word you say. At least this doesn't delay things really as your OH still has his SA to wait for?

Franklydear · 27/07/2021 16:14

@Vil10 it fills me with rage when I feel they gp doesn’t know or care what they’re talking about and I have to educate them, annoying when they can put the phone down on you, can you try again in person when you go for your bloods?

Juno231 · 27/07/2021 16:18

@vil10 for reference my GP said that if I'm temping I'll be more on the ball than her so please book yourself in for when you think you're 7dpo. Which funnily enough was CD24 that cycle! If only everyone else had that experience.

2020mission · 27/07/2021 16:27

@Vil10 I'm sorry your GP is messing you around and it's no wonder you are upset. Honestly the whole day 21 thing is only for text book cycles where you ovulate on CD 14 and have a 28 day cycle which almost all of us don't follow 🙄 definitely book it to fit your own cycle. It does seem like GPs have a small amount of knowledge about fertility a lot of the time and are simply reading the guidelines in front of them. We tend to know a lot more about it all as it's actually happening to us and so we do the research.

A lot of ladies on MN seemed to get a lot more testing than me with their GP (the chlamydia swap, an ultrasound, early cycle bloods, late cycle bloods). My GP only tested me for the late cycle bloods to check I ovulated and before the results were even back she referred me straight to the assisted conception unit! In fast she put the referral through while I was still in the room with her just after the bloods had been drawn.

paintfairy · 27/07/2021 16:45

@Vil10 oh my days. What utter morons. They call it day 21 because it would be day 21 if you had a perfect 28 day cycle. However, if you don't it then needs adjusting accordingly. I ovulate early so actually I have to have mine before day 21. But the gp did know this and told me "7 days before your period is due".

Justanothercyster · 27/07/2021 16:47

@Vil10 no you're not being ridiculous at all, they should have sense enough to know that nothing will show up if you ov later than the norm. In fact when I had my day 21 done my gp said it was pointlessly booked considering they knew I had pcos and ovd irregularly, they said someone was ticking boxes but it would have been a wasted blood test! I'd get back onto them and say that x

@2020mission yes I was the same, not sure if it was a good or bad thing but I was thankful! They literally just did my bloods, got my pcos diagnosis and we were referred. I wish it was as straightforward for everyone (without the diagnosis of course)

becarefuloutthere · 27/07/2021 16:59

@Vil10 everyone is right. Cd21 is only for those who have 28 days cycles and ov on cd14, if you ov before or after this you count 7dpo or 7 days before you're due on if you haven't tracked. How can gp's not know the basics 🤦🏾‍♀️ 😩

Vil10 · 27/07/2021 17:05

@Laurenxx94 @Juno231 @Franklydear @2020mission @paintfairy @Justanothercyster @becarefuloutthere Thankyou so much everyone, I'm in tomorrow first thing for my bloods, at 8dpo, so going to explain all this tomorrow to the receptionist and hopefully they'll take my bloods for progesterone tomorrow whilst I'm there!! I feel like they're going to get sick of me but if they'd done their job properly from the start I wouldn't need to keep ringing and questioning what they're doing!! You're all the best support system going❤️

bez91 · 27/07/2021 18:11

@larrythelizard don't blame you on the ice cream yesterday those mass emails can be nerve racking! @paintfairy Heard back from gynae today they said the consultant wants to see me sooner rather than later but the clinic is full so they need to sort an extra one 🙄
@Minster2012 happy birthday to your DS hope he's had a fab day!
@Vil10 he is so gorgeous 😍 hope you had a good day. It is ridiculous. However the norm for most of us it seems at some point. Hope they get their shit together
@DKDK123 it is all consuming emotionally, financially and physically. Good for you - we'll be here 🥰
@paintfairy argggh how frustrating, they just sound like they're winging it! I hope it turns out ok timing
That's a fab weight loss @Mumlili9 well done!
Also agree with @Juno231 I love Pom and grapefruit juice 😆
@kaylsd hahahh I'm sure urine in Tupperware is acceptable although with you being a nurse does it have to be in a sterile container or is that nonsense? I remember when DD was in hospital at 18 months old and they wanted me to get a urine sample from her. She wasn't potty trained but I asked for a potty to see if I could get her to go on that but they said no they couldn't use that it has to be in a sterile container. I sat at her bedside for 5 hours waiting for a wee, then had to nip to use the loo myself. Of course I returned and she'd weed everywhere 🤦🏼‍♀️ I told them it was ridiculous I couldn't possibly catch it 😆

Mumlili9 · 27/07/2021 18:50

@Vil10 your not daft or silly. If you don't advocate for yourself you'll get no where. In theory if your paying NI your paying for the test anyway so you should get some say as yo when it's done. I gave up and pay for my test private costs about £35 each time. But when you present these results to your gp they say they have to us NHS tests and will not listen to the 7dpo thing and insist on day 21 which for me is cd 18 so by cd21 I've missed my peak progesterone. GPs are useless when it comes to fertility. I bet you know more about female anatomy and menstrual cycles than they do. Sending you a hug 🤗 coz this journey is impossibly stressful without professionals being unprofessional as well. Your doing amazing x

bez91 · 27/07/2021 19:17

Also ladies could do with some advice… so the job offer last week. Haven’t heard anything since Wednesday. Animosity seems rife as someone whose worked there for 15 years didn’t get the job, doesn’t bother me. Head of Service back at work today and she’s asked to meet with me again so still trying to get me to stay in the job I’m in, she’ll probably dangle the carrot about my managers job again. Agreed to meet with her on Thursday, she is really nice and a bit like the ‘mother’ of the joint 😆 me and DH decided that if no success by the end of the year we’ll start the IVF process. Work know I wanted the move for personal reasons (less stress, same money blah blah) but don’t know anything more. I would stay doing the job I’m doing with the extra resources as I do love it.

So honest opinions.. am I being really really stupid and naive to be contemplating being totally honest with her as to why my heads been a bit of a mess what with the MCs etc and why (I think) I need the step away from firefighting the shit that comes with this job for my own firefighting in my head or is that not a good move 🤔

Kirky658 · 27/07/2021 19:23

@vil10 gps are just dicks!!!!! Ps why are you so stunning on all your pics, it's so unfair 🤣 also Albert is gorge!!!

@dkdk123 a rest is good. Treat yourself to some nice vino with those savings and maybe a night away somewhere? ❤️

@juno231 loved the pic of you guys at the wedding, both looking stunning!

@bez91 it's completely up to you really. Got me honesty has been the best policy but I know my boss just wouldn't understand it at all. Maybe broach the subject lightly and see how she bites?

So takeaway for us tonight. Work have massively screwed me over. Basically someone was made redundant last year so all of our areas are being changed, but while I'm on mat leave my region is being covered by my work bestie and her rgion is being given to someone else. So as of the 1st August I have no accounts to look after and no chance of a bonus. Oh and when I go back I might not have any region to return to...

Laurenxx94 · 27/07/2021 20:11

So ladies I got a fertility reading done back in June just after my chemical, they said I would conceive within 2 cycles , I included June but was half way through a cycle so just found out that doesn't count. Really
Hoping it's true she has a 80% accuracy rate and said if it doesn't happen within 2 she does a recheck on when I will concieve! Has anyone else had anything like this. It gave me a glimmer of hope and made me feel more positive after the chemical.

Also what vitamins is everyone taking?
My oh take coq-10, zinc, folic acid and vitamin C
I take pregnacare , folic acid, vit D and vit C xx

2020mission · 27/07/2021 20:18

I have to jump in and say I agree pomegranate juice is nice (the POM brand at least)! I absolutely hate grapefruit juice though and the month I got my BFP was the month I didn't touch the grapefruit juice. I'm still convinced it was causing excess estrogen too so making matters worse 😅 I wouldn't recommend to anyone unless you have no CM at all in the fertile window. If you do it's just unnecessary punishment 😂

kaylsd · 27/07/2021 20:22

@vil10 I second what Lauren commented my GP surgery said for my 21 day bloods to book when I thought I had my peak and think I’m about 7 days post ovulation as they know people have wonky cycles and not all are 28 days length for the 21 day to be accurate! Sending hugs about the crying outbursts we all have those days you aren’t alone on this one hunny 🥰❤️ if you fail to get them to listen you could consider ordering a medi check progesterone online to do? Whether that’s as accurate it’s questionable but it’s always worth a shout

@2020mission it may depend on your CCG they may not require all the tests other areas have recommended prior to referal maybe? Saying that I had to have USS swabs bloods and hubs SA before referal 🙈

@bez91 ideally they say sterile containers so it can’t pick up any other micro bacteria in the sample as it’s not come out of a clean catch area (For example taken from a catheter) they try and reduce as much contamination to get the most accurate result, that being said they haven’t provided me with one so the I’ll wipe down the Tupperware box and use it as it’s all I’ve got, they may be micro micro microscopic curry particles as I’ve got a tendency to use the same tubs to batch cook in and they always tend to leave a slight orange stain that’s not my urine so that won’t go down in my favour either🤣🙈

@Laurenxx94 I’m unsure about the fertility reading they’ve not been accurate for me as I’ve passed each month on 3 readings I’ve had when they’ve predicted conception, that being said I’ve seen some reviews on some who have been accurate and gives people comfort so I’m hoping you have better luck with them than me ❤️ my supplements I take is myo inositol, folic acid, coq10 and multi vitamin

@kirky658 oh gosh hunny that’s a stress factor you could do without knowing whilst your on mat leave, I hope it gets rectified before you return :( ❤️

Justanothercyster · 27/07/2021 20:31

Good on you @Vil10 you have to keep fighting x

@bez91 as others have said it depends on the boss really. Mine was super supportive and I knew he would be, but others may not be so much. I always like honesty though so they may respect that?

@Kirky658 oh bloody hell what a mess! Not what you need right now, but you just have to focus on your own journey and try to enjoy that time x

@Laurenxx94 is that a reading as in psychic reading? Sorry if I sound dim!
And as for the vits, we have a running thing here that Seven Seas preconception seem to get people up the duff, and I'm sure it's only coincidence but I had 2 packs and conceived 😂
