PS: it was quite nice going back over the thread to copy the usernames and see how many people were on the bus!

I was due on today, got a negative and now can feel my period cramps …. Oh well!! Just need to focus on the positives (I can attend bottomless brunch at the end of the month)

Hey ladies, just thought I’d give you all a little update. Last month I got my BFP but I started getting pains last week in my right side so I went to epu and they did a early scan. They were having a good look and started asking me questions like if I had been on any fertility treatment or ivf. I told them I haven’t and they basically told me that I had ovulated multiple times last month and I have 3 corpus luteums cysts on my ovary. One of which is 6cm! They could see a pregnancy which is good and estimated me at 5 weeks but no embryo yet as still too early. I have to go back next week for another scan and I will be 7 weeks then.
The only thing is that if I ovulated 3 different times there is a chance that they could have been fertilised too and still too early to see. They said it’s very rare to ovulate multiple times and even after Googling it I haven’t found anything about it. I’m very nervous and scared. Especially as because of the weight of the cysts I’m high risk of ovarian torsion. Anyways just wondered if anyone else has ever heard of this. Xx

So much to catch up on! I’ve been away for a few days. I’ve been using the advanced clear blue digital sticks. I got a flashy the day before I left for Belfast and didn’t test for a couple of days, got a flashy yesterday and wasn’t going to bother testing today but did at the last minute and got a static!! 🥳🥳

Husband however is on his way to being shitfaced 🤣🤣

Congratulations @Caramel2 and good luck for your scan next week! Wow, 3 separate ovulations 😯 I didn't even know that was a thing! I just thought your body could try and if not successful then try again. Easy to say, but try not to worry too much, did they mention anything to you about the cysts or extra scans etc? X

@Twochews78 I actually laughed to myself with that, as my husband is at the pub as we speak!! Luckily for him I did my first test today and got a low result! So he’s let off tonight!! However it may be a different story Sunday!! If England win tonight and I get a static on the final haha!! Mmm…choices choices!!

I’d actually like to know aswell about dtd around peak, is it just before, on the day of static, or are you still able to catch it a day after?? So far Iv been trying to do it on the day of peak, but is that right?xx

@Sam8582 I didn’t know it was a thing either lol. They just said that the cysts are what give the baby progesterone. Obviously it’s normally one cyst per baby but as I ovulated 3 times I have 3 of them. If I get any sharp pains or start violently being sick need to go straight to a&e but fingers crossed I’ve been ok so far.
I have my next scan on the 16th of this month. They put me at 4-5 weeks last week when I had the scan so by next week I should be about 7 weeks. Explains why my clearblue digital said 3+ a few weeks ago if I have a lot of cysts giving progesterone off lol. I had a miscarriage last year so I’m still nervous about that. I just can’t believe I ovulated so many times x

@Willow1982 🤣🤣 you’ll need to get him before the pub on Sunday if England go through! there’s absolutely no chance for me if it goes to extra time and penalties tonight! It would be alright if I was drinking too, but I’m sober 😬🙃

Well I was doing a wee bit of reading and it’s says your peak fertile for 48 hours. So today and tomorrow for me. Suppose it’s all the high days, the peak day and day after the peak. Some women also said that she took other opk’s and was still high about 3 days after her peak! Bloody minefield.

@Willow1982, this cycle we DTD’ed a couple of times on flashing days and once on the day the static appeared. I wanted to DTD the day after, but DH was tired. I remember feeling frustrated because the static smiley was 1-2 days before my peak with the easy@home strips. But evidently it was enough.

Also my easy@Home strips never went above 0.95 but evidently this was enough as I must have ovulated get a BFP.

Wow I’ve never heard of that. Did they say whether it’s quite rare to ovulate 3 times? And also, sorry if this is daft (or scary) question but are you saying there could be twins/triplets? Totally understandable that you’re nervous given you’ve had a miscarriage. Really glad to hear the EPU seem to be looking after you well, hope all goes well for your next scan 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Xx

Oh my goodness, that sounds like some scary acupuncture. Was your person by any chance a chiropractor as they do neck stuff?

I had my acupuncture today for the first time in a couple of years - it definitely did not involve my neck; it was very gentle and relaxing.. also, she looked over my notes from my last attendance (when I conceived my dd). Apparently I first went on cd 22 and then fell pregnant straight away the next cycle (had a miscarriage but fell pregnant again straight after that). @wantstickybean I know you asked me before if they time it around particular dates - mine said today that for me the most important time seems to be to have a session around ovulation. That makes me think everyone is different in terms of what timing is best for them?!?

@SATCfan they said it was extremely rare. One of the nurses told me that’s the second time she has ever seen that in 40 years lol. There could be more then one baby but I won’t find out until next week as they said they don’t know how far apart I ovulated. The cysts are all different sizes. I’m just so confused. I’m just praying that the baby is ok in there and I actually see it next week. Thank you, I’ll update you once I have the scan xx

Yes I was on the understanding it was those days, and hoped it was after static smiley too as missed dtd on that specific day in the past, so I have a couple of those tester sticks, reason being once you get a static smiley it stays on the holder for 48 hours, so I use another tester stick the day after, iv had 3 days of static smiley in a row before!! It so is a minefield!!xx

Need some advice.. I don’t want to bring up negativity but I just found out my fiancé was cheating the entire relationship with multiple women. I have since left and staying with my sister. I’m 7-8dpo and poas today with a BFN. My emotions are running crazy because I want a baby so badly but now I’m wondering if this is even right maybe the reason I haven’t been able to get a BFP? Just lots of thoughts going through my mind. The relationship is irreparable.. as when I found out he got abusive with me and broke my phone. I will not go back and if I do end up with a BFP just want to keep it safe from him.. sorry for the post everyone , I’m so happy to hear about everyone’s BFPs, I was really feeling like this was the month for me (still could be) I’m just so lost and alone

Added, we have been actively TTC for 4 months now. He kept asking me to marry him which was to be the plan and now I feel like he was just trying to trap me?? And after me having 2 mc.. it’s been a long day. To top it off I had a gyn appointment today and explained the situation to the dr who suggested I take a plan B and it hurt my heart so badly. I didn’t even know what to say so I just walked out.

@Anonymouss864 you were right walking away from a cheater!!! Once a cheater, always a cheater. 😒 And even though if you are indeed pregnant, you know that your baby is loved and hoped for, so no need to even think about plan B. My friend had an abortion previously and now when she really wants to have a child, he can't. :(

I, on the other hand, have finally ovulated. Been getting almost positive OPKs for the past couple of days and we were BDing just in case. Now finally the test line is way stronger than the control line so I'm sure. 😇 I've heard some women complain about those One Step OPKs and them not even showing ovulation when they got a positive on ClearBlue, but for me they've worked.

Hopefully this month is ours. 🥲

@Anonymouss864 honey that sounds so, so tough . Well done for walking away from that relationship it absolutely is the right thing.

Assuming that this month is BFN, your doctor is right - you absolutely do have options. Just scrolled down and seen you're 22? So time is definitely on your side. Or there's always the donor option if you prefer not to wait. But whenever it is your time to get a BFP you will be so much better off without him.

I'm pleased you're safe now. Please keep talking to us, it's totally understandable that you're feeling as if your world's just turned upside down.

@Anonymouss864, I’m so sorry to hear about your scumbag fiancé, but I’m glad that you’ve managed to get away. He sounds so controlling and manipulative, and not kind.

Despite your heartache, it sounds like win/win in some ways. If you’re not pg, you can focus on yourself and piecing together a life for your values. You may meet a kind person or you might go down the donor route down the line.

If you are pg, you at least have a baby. There was a lady in my previous birth group who was in this situation. She left her abusive partner when she found out. She made a life for herself and her baby and is very happy- although it was hard at first she made it and her life is hers.

Whatever happens, things are likely to improve now you’re not with him. After a period of adjustment, you’ll find yourself x
