TTC - Ovulation

Hi!

I have been TTC this month. I got a flashing smiley face on the clearblue OPKS this morning so all is looking good! I would love to talk to anyone else who is also TTC this month... I am currently driving my husband mad as it's all I can talk about. 😊

Hi @QueenLagertha yes I've had 3 my third gradual rise which is today. I wasn't sure if I was 2 or 3 days DPO so wasn't sure when ovulation day is counted whether it's on the dip day or day after 😊

@LittleDoveLove that's great news! I think in terms of the clear blue monitor the second peak day is classed as ovulation day so I go by that which also fits with CM xx

Agree with @newtolineofduty. Fertility friend put ovulation as the day after the dip for me this month. Which is day after first peak on clearblue.

I only got my peak on cheap OPK yesterday at 5:30pm. A full 24 hours after clearblue gave a peak! Cheap OPK peak was far too late (taking my temp into account)

That's good to know @QueenLagertha! I tried the cheapie ones and they said I'd not ovulated, although they worked well for me when TTC last time!

So I've realised, given second peak day is ovulation day that I didn't do it on ovulation day last month! Just the two days before. Hoping I have a better chance this month x

I was hoping I'd be better with the symptom spotting this month but I can't help googling 'twinges' etc which I keep getting but I'm only 3dpo! Xx

Help! New to all this. Did opk yesterday and strong line (bottom of pic) today’s (top) is still strong but not as strong but app says ovulating today. Is it right or have I ovulated already? Or is today’s maybe just slightly lighter due to urine strength and I am probably ovulating today. I am so clueless at all this….

@newtolineofduty same happened me with them last month. No peak at all. I think they're only really useful alongside clearblue. So I do the clear blue in the morning and the cheapie in the evening.

Here's hoping we both have better luck this month 🤞🏼. I'm only 1 DPO and already symptom spotting 😂 looking at my Fitbit and thinking my heart rate is higher than it was this time last month etc

Hi @Lulumam you usually ovulate 12-36 hrs after your peak surge. So yes it is likely you are ovulating today

I hope you don't mind me joining, its that time again ovulation due this weekend I really hope this is our month, realised we are 11 months in for ttc with 2 losses and still childless, also my due date for first loss is end of the month so getting that BFP will really help, i need this, its our time.

Welcome @LeeTTCRainbow! So sorry to hear about your losses. TTC is so awful I think. I hate it when I'm ovulating and the pressure to DTD at the 'right' times! I'm always glad when ovulation is over! Wishing you all the luck in the world xxx

Are you using OPKs and temping? We've been trying preseed too this month it has a lot of good reviews online

@newtolineofduty it can be either day I think because some will ovulate within 12 hours of peak and others 36 Depending when you detect it. So think it is covering for all of that so you'll probably be fine with timing x

Evening everyone - how are we all doing? Is anyone else about 3DPO. So it begins again. FF is telling me I can take a test on 29 July....so far away 😭

Yay @newtolineofduty. It seems to be suggesting that's when my period would be due and CD29!

I have a 28 day cycle and due on 21st? I'm feeling hopeful I'll be able to hold out until then. I found it too difficult getting the BFN! Especially when I couldn't be 100% sure they were accurate! Will you try and hold out? Xx

@newtolineofduty 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I was looking at CDs instead of dyes. It's actually telling me to test on CD29 which is 19 July.

2DPO and symptom spotting like crazy. Woken at 5am by cramps from same side I had ovulation pain. Metallic taste in mouth today. My rational brain knows this Is too early to be pregnancy related but I can't help hoping (and googling)
How's everyone else feeling?

Also 3 days DPO 😊 feeling ok AF due 20th according to app x

I'm 4dpo due on 21st. Only thing I've noticed is some cervical mucus! Not sure whether I normally get it post ovulation though!!! Xx

Do you usually get it @LittleDoveLove around this time!? I don't track it other than the very clear EWCM! What consistency is it? This is quite wet but not watery and it's not clear it's more milky so I don't think it's of any significance really xx

@newtolineofduty thin like EWCM, not a lot just a bit n don't have any today yet. I don't usually get it a few days after ovulation but I think I did ovulate this month as I'm not convinced I did last month as had no CM at all x

@newtolineofduty bit more thin than usual EWCM actually so maybe watery more like it , it wasn't like ovulation CM x
