@Kipkay35 Hi welcome, sorry for your loss, 10/11apo is still early, what date is AF due? not out until she shows after all, im currenly 10 months into my ttc journey with two losses one mmc which lead to d&c and one natural miscarriage, im 28. 29 end of month, i think if get to a year we will be investigating, unfortunately takes 3 miscarriages before anyone will look at you, which sucks as we have to put ourselves through the trauma 3 times before any help. i seem to be able to fall pregnant its the keeping i struggle with. hoping you get your BFP soon. xx

LeeTTCRainbow · 10/06/2021 10:36

@SkeletonSkins so are you started to try this month or next? i was also on the pill for years since i was 16 now 28 nearly 29 came off pill last August took a while for my body to regulate itself and get a regular cycle again. i also suffer with recurrent utis had 25 one year, been with a specialist for few years, yet come off my pill and not had one!!! all those years back and forth and if just came off pill would of sorted it. scary how much the hormones and body is affecting on contraception. x

LeeTTCRainbow · 10/06/2021 10:37

@Willow1982 Hi, I've joined the group recently as back to ttc again, good luck this month. x

Fiep · 10/06/2021 10:39

@LeeTTCRainbow wow that’s crazy!!! 25 and then none!

I had recurring thrush, every month 2-3x on the copper coil, now it’s out no thrush for a few months. And it’s supposed to be side effect free!

Confused678866 · 10/06/2021 10:49

@Willow1982 Thank you, that's very kind. I hope you're okay and wishing you lots of luck 🍀 xx

GoingGently · 10/06/2021 11:09

Hi ladies, please can I join? Second cycle TTC after a TFMR (first pregnancy) last year... currently CD 12 so time to start trying again. I'm 38 so taking lots of supplements! Not really sure what to expect but mainly feeling a bit confused by all the poas!!

SkeletonSkins · 10/06/2021 11:30

@LeeTTCRainbow starting this month so once my period is out the way I’ll be waiting on ovulation. Not sure DH is going to know what’s hit him 😂 yes it’s scary isn’t it how much the hormones affect our body and how long it can take to get back to normal. I’m not sure whether my long cycles are because of the pill or the PCOS, probably a combo of both.

Hi @GoingGently, fingers crossed this is your month. What supplements are you taking currently? I’m sure I rattle!

LeeTTCRainbow · 10/06/2021 11:34

@Fiep Yes and that was just one year been suffering for 5 years with them, 2/3 a month at least was the norm also had 3 kidney infections as utis weren't treated in time and ended up being admitted to hospital so could have iv antibiotics.

Madness isnt it how much your body is affected, i also suffer with CSU chronic spontaneous urticaria which is rashes and facial swelling again since been off my pill not had one flare up, its scares me how much my body was resisting my contraception yet not one dr or even specialist mentioned coming off my pill to see if that's the cause. all i know is I'm never going back on the pill now. x

LeeTTCRainbow · 10/06/2021 11:44

@GoingGently Welcome lovely, I'm so sorry you had to make that tough decision i really hope you get your rainbow soon, what are you confused about the ovulation sticks? x

LeeTTCRainbow · 10/06/2021 11:52

@SkeletonSkins eek how exciting, of i know poor guys get used and abused joking of course, but no when i get that positive test and see that smiley im so excited adrenaline rush haha.

yes could be mixture of both, best bet start testing about 5 days after period can look out for cm too (TMI cervical mucus) then watch the line if starts getting stronger your getting closer, if cm is clear, egg white, and stretchy your in your fertile window, so bd every 3 days if can, then day before, day of and day after ovulation. but of course just mainly enjoy it and don't stress otherwise can become very clinical. x

Laurenxx94 · 10/06/2021 11:58

@SkeletonSkins

Hi all, hope it’s okay for me to join. Have been reading through all your posts and so sorry to those who have experienced losses recently, got everything crossed that this is your month.

This will be my first cycle TTC#1, I’m 29 and I have PCOS so no doubt that will complicate things. I was on the pill for 12 years before I came of at Christmas to see what my cycles would do as I did have a one year gap when I came off the pill and didn’t have a period at all (hence the PCOS diagnosis). We’ve not been able to start trying until this month as I have been completing a qualification but I have been tracking my cycles to see what’s going on and lost 2 stone Christmas-April to get back to healthy BMI (just!!) as I know weight can impact PCOS.

Since Christmas I’ve had 3 cycles, all very long, which could be post-pill or due to the PCOS. Cycles 1 and 2 I did ovulate naturally which I was really pleased about, but they were both 50-day cycles.

Cycle 3 post-pill I started taking Conceive Plus Ovulation Support and Fertility Support on CD 40 and this brought on a period almost instantly so I think that cycle was anovulatory. I’m okay with that though as to me it feels like the supplements might be having an impact and I’m hoping it’s the reset my body needs and this cycle might be shorter perhaps? Who knows!

On CD3 currently so nothing to do yet except read posts about conception endlessly 😂 most likely be a while before I ovulate so I’ll have to sit back and be patient, although really interested to see if the Conceive Plus Ovulation Support shortens my cycles.

Welcome! Sorry to hear about your PCOS but I do know a lot of women who do conceive naturally ! I have mentioned previously there is a supplement called VITEX and you take it everyday and it helps bring on ovulation and regulate cycles I've heard many positive reviews I've been considering it but becaUs my cycles are pretty regular I don't want to make them worse! Obviously something to consider! Best of luck x
Laurenxx94 · 10/06/2021 12:02

Hi @Kipkay35
I'm on cycle 9 just having a early miscarriage on Tuesday so hoping to get right back in!

I have been getting investigated but only briefly got my progesterone checked and will again this month. My partner had his sperm checked but very lucky with our doctor that they're very understanding. I have a lot of issues with bleeding in between periods and bleeding after sex so this caused a issue before which is why I think they done some tests sooner , hope you get your bfp soon x

purpleskyssssss · 10/06/2021 12:20

Hi everyone

Welcome to the newbies and it really is sad reading of all the losses, but I think coming to MN really does help, you realise it's not just you and affects so many people which I think when TTC you forget as normally you just see all the 'happily pregnant' post!

Can I ask what the sperm analysis entails - we are now in month 7 of trying and trying to get OH to ring up and ask for a sperm analysis is something else 😂 he's convinced he will ring up the doctors and have to get the sample while in the doctors? Surely not?? 🤨 I'm thinking maybe if I have abit more information on it, he will do it this month haha 😂

Hey ! My partner got his last month and has to repeat this month. We told a little white lie with his doctor and said we had been trying a year but does no harm ! Ask ally before COVID they would have to do it in a room. I'm in Glasgow so not sure if everywhere is different but he got it sent out in the post a little tub and paper with details. He had to complete it within an hour of his appointment in the house so he done his business in the house into the tub ( which he missed half of hence the repeat 😂) then within the hour had his appointment and just handed it in to reception! He had his results next day x

Oh and also might I add , he can't ejaculate for 48hour before they say up to 7 before so I've always made his appointment out with my ovulation. Times 😂x
WantStickyBean · 10/06/2021 15:49

@Laurenxx94 thank you. This is cycle 3 for us so I know not long, but I'm 34 so worried it might take a bit longer and I really struggle with my MH so I'm desperate for this to not make things any harder.

I'm symptom spotting like made at 9DPO - got a bit of a headache which was definitely the first symptom I had when I was pg with DD.

purpleskyssssss · 10/06/2021 15:52

@Laurenxx94 thankyou!! I may get booking him in then as I'm currently just past ovulation!! So can do with the rest 🤣

I'll have to say that to him and just say it's the same everywhere, I think that will relieve him, that it potentially could be at home!

We will say the same if they ask!

Definitely go for it, no harm and gives u an insight of what is going on! My partners was low but not major! They said because he never got it all in tub that could of been a factor xx

Hoping it's a good sign for you! Are you just doing opks or trying vitamins etc? X

dunkedbiscuit · 10/06/2021 17:47

Welcome @GoingGently so sorry you went through that, hope you get happy news soon x

Scribble10 · 10/06/2021 18:16

Hey, any chance I can join? I’m out this month already Sad, husband and I have been ttc our first for 7 months now. I know 7 months is not a long time but each time my period comes, it gets harder and harder. I’ve been a lurker for a while but thought it was time to join.

Laurenxx94 · 10/06/2021 20:09

Hey @Scribble10 , sorry your feeling that way! I know the feeling we are now on month 9 with a CP just the other day! Really does get harder the longer it takes. I find it especially harder when EVERYBODY around you is pregnant. I hope it happens soon for you but this thread will help I always find having someone to vent to really helps clear my head and sometimes your partner just doesn't get it!
Are you taking vitamins or tracking using OPKS? Xx

dunkedbiscuit · 10/06/2021 20:15

Sending love @Scribble10 it's so emotionally gruelling isn't it x

GoingGently · 10/06/2021 23:34

Hi ladies, thanks for your kind messages!

@SkeletonSkins I'm taking preg vits, coq10, omega 3, vit D, selenium, magnesium and sometimes zinc!

Argh so frustrated...think I might be out this month before we've even started trying! I've been a bit confused by the poas because I'm due to ovulate next Tuesday so started poas 3 days ago, as advised by my app. However, line on day 1 was quite strong and has got progressively more faint. Just started tonight with EWM and now the app has just updated itself to say I've ovulated today!! Tonight was our first night trying this cycle and DH cannot perform because he's totally knackered from work and it was all zero sexy! If we'd managed it this evening it might have been just under the wire?

So is that it...am I out for another month do you think??!! Action was only just supposed to be starting FFS!!!! Confused

Hello and welcome. I've been trying since feb for my first and it's definitely getting harder. There's no way we've missed ovulation as dtd every other day so I just don't understand why my body is not getting pregnant.

I know our bodies are complex but it seems such a basic human function , that it makes me just a bit sad and confused. ❤️ hugs to you. Have you started opks?
