Evening everyone. Heartbreaking to hear the stories of losses, hope you all have your rainbows very soon.

I'm 8dpo (probably - could also be 7 or 9 because my OPKs were peak for 3 days!), had lower back pain all afternoon and started to feel really anxious/tearful. Really worried that it's PMS from my progesterone starting to drop and means it's another unsuccessful month for us.

LeeTTCRainbow · 09/06/2021 20:09

@Fiep hi thanks for your message, yes for my first pregnancy to end the way it did pretty much had the worst case scenario happen for the 1st trimester, took me a few months to pull myself together again and didn’t help 2 weeks after my d&c my sister in-law told us she was pregnant first pregnancy she’s now 20 weeks and even now I really struggle with seeing and hearing her talk about the milestones. No I haven’t had any counselling I’ve just joined pregnancy loss support groups via fb and they have really helped me not feel so alone, I’m surrounded by friends and family pregnant at the minute so my support groups have been a life saviour. Thank you for sending me the link. X

LeeTTCRainbow · 09/06/2021 20:14

@CocoLady hi my pregnancy ended in a mmc unfortunately but for the first cycle we did use ovulation sticks after 5 months of no luck I got my positive test. Personally I like them as reassures me my body is ovulating and just add extra bd to cover ovulation time. So for me they were successful. Hoping this time they will be too. X

LeeTTCRainbow · 09/06/2021 20:16

@WantStickyBean ohh not long to wait either way, when got positive previously I had no real symptoms accept some mild cramping on lead up so keep positive as the cramps could be a good thing. X
@Laurenxx94 well that’s great you feel ready and really hope it’s your month and get your rainbow, I know I was desperate to be pregnant again as had started planning ahead and for it to be taken away was so hard but at same time I was petrified after going through all I went through again if didn’t work out, I had a few complications firstly was a missed miscarriage so my body hadn’t accepted the loss, then I started miscarrying few days later but ended up haemorrhaging through the contractions and ended up being admitted to hospital to be monitored and iv painkillers and gas & air until it was too much and I was rushed down to theatre, when I had my d&c I was 13 weeks but baby had passed at 11 weeks where we found via our dating scan at 12.5 weeks I still get flashbacks of the screen that’s why scans are so hard for me. It was all very scary and had to be on my own due to covid but I would go through all that again if gives us a chance to get our rainbow, yes this month I tracked my ovulation so have given it our best bet hopefully as first month tracked my ovulation previously I got my positive and that was my mmc. Hope the above doesn’t scare you or worry you just think it’s helpful to talk about the trauma us women can go through to get a baby, I wish someone had told me how it could be instead it’s like a really bad period. Xx
Oh my goodness this is absolutely heartbreaking I'm so sorry you had to go through this , and especially on your own with COVID! It's very brave of you to share your experience and wish you all the best for these next months hoping you get a sticky bfp 💖 lovely we have each other to talk to ! What opks are you using? Xx

Laurenxx94 · 09/06/2021 20:41

@CocoLady

Hello ladies how is everyone doing ? May wasn't my month but hoping June is ! I was starting to get a bit obsessed! I'm following an app but have the odd withdrawal bleed between periods came off depo in March! So I bought some ovulation sticks as not 100% whether the app is accurate ! Has anyone had any success in pregnancy from using ovulation sticks ? Wishing all BFP very soon ! Xx
I use the clear blue smiley opks and find them very useful! Although I did use them and cheapies last month and both different although got my bfp (which sadly ended quickly after) so the clearblue worked for me I think? Xx

Hey I hope it's not the case! How many months have you been ttc? X
LeeTTCRainbow · 09/06/2021 21:04

@Laurenxx94 thank you so much for the support it’s definitely been a tough few months but time helps never forget just helps , I’m always up for talking about it I think it helps as miscarriages, missed miscarriages, still births aren’t spoken about enough and unless search for help there is barely any support out there. I use the cheap tests just from Amazon and then when have my peak I double check with my clear blue ovulation sticks and normally get my static smile or flashing. What about you? X

I agree and think it's terrible you need to have 3 before anybody even thinks twice! Ah that's a good idea as I've been spending a fortune on clearblue , my clearblue and Amazon were out by a couple days this month which confused me. But it worked somehow lol. Just need to keep trying I suppose we will get there be excited to see when we get our bfps! Hopefully be able to have this journey together! X

LeeTTCRainbow · 09/06/2021 23:04

@Laurenxx94 I know isn’t it, one loss is enough to go through and need advice but no women have to go through the torture 3 times before get some support. Yes they are costly, that’s why save them for when get a positive on cheapies and the two times I have got a static smiley so at least in sink, use apps too but they always seem slightly off so I just add my ovulation day in once had my peak, yes would love to be able to share our journey together so isn’t so lonely, seems frowned upon to share your news until past 1st trimester or 12 week dating scan yet by that point your 3 months pregnant and been hiding all that time and if doesn’t work out have to either tell people you’ve had a miscarriage or hide that. Have you thought about how your tell your other half? Or just take test together? Xx

Fiep · 10/06/2021 07:35

@LeeTTCRainbow @Laurenxx94 if it was men they would get support after one miscarriage I can assure you! Women’s health just doesn’t get taken seriously often. When I had a prolapse nobody was particularly interested and I was told to just expect changes after birth. GP was reluctant even to take a look, as if my vagina was somehow a no-go zone. You’re a doctor?!

Anyway. AF just arrived a day early. Kind of relieved at least that I won’t have to wait for a later period like last cycle, that was very depressing. And as promised I’m going to take myself shopping tomorrow on my day off to treat myself. John Lewis has a big women’s clothes sale which I’ll go and check out. Gotta keep my spirits up for the July bus. Toot toot...

Yeah it's just awful ☹️ that's a good idea though I will try that this month and see if they match! I do that with the app too when we were first trying before sticks my app was off by like 3-4 days which made sense! Well I had this big plan to tell him with a box and stuff but that time I was too excited I just threw him the test lol! So will maybe do it nicer this time because I want to be totally sure . This time I just knew something was off because my tests didn't get any darker they stayed very faint I googled and googled but I couldn't get happy because I knew they should of been dark! Thankfully my bleeding has subsided so I'm just going take it easy my cramps are still quite bad tho even though I'm not bleeding xx

It's terrible honestly , I can't believe how unhelpful they can be. They don't even give you proper answers just sent on your way.

I'm so sorry to hear that AF has arrived but glad your treating yourself I always found it a good excuse to spend a lot of money without my partner saying anything 😂😂🙄 how long have you been ttc ? Are you tracking/ taking vitamins xxxx

Absolutely agree with this @LeeTTCRainbow , it can become such a hidden secret grief and make you feel really alone, I've tried to be quite open about it for this v reason. Sorry to hear others have also had losses , sending lots of love you you all ❤️

LeeTTCRainbow · 10/06/2021 08:45

@Fiep so true, I’m sorry to hear about your prolapse doesn’t make after birth recovery any easier when can’t even get the help, can see my so many women can suffer with postnatal depression when the support isn’t there.

Sorry you’ve got your period but hey one step closer to being able to try again now if look as it that way, shopping sounds perfect and always helps you feel better, that and ordering myself a waffle dessert from Creams they are my weakness. Enjoy shopping lovely. Xx

SkeletonSkins · 10/06/2021 08:47

Hi all, hope it’s okay for me to join. Have been reading through all your posts and so sorry to those who have experienced losses recently, got everything crossed that this is your month.

This will be my first cycle TTC#1, I’m 29 and I have PCOS so no doubt that will complicate things. I was on the pill for 12 years before I came of at Christmas to see what my cycles would do as I did have a one year gap when I came off the pill and didn’t have a period at all (hence the PCOS diagnosis). We’ve not been able to start trying until this month as I have been completing a qualification but I have been tracking my cycles to see what’s going on and lost 2 stone Christmas-April to get back to healthy BMI (just!!) as I know weight can impact PCOS.

Since Christmas I’ve had 3 cycles, all very long, which could be post-pill or due to the PCOS. Cycles 1 and 2 I did ovulate naturally which I was really pleased about, but they were both 50-day cycles.

Cycle 3 post-pill I started taking Conceive Plus Ovulation Support and Fertility Support on CD 40 and this brought on a period almost instantly so I think that cycle was anovulatory. I’m okay with that though as to me it feels like the supplements might be having an impact and I’m hoping it’s the reset my body needs and this cycle might be shorter perhaps? Who knows!

On CD3 currently so nothing to do yet except read posts about conception endlessly 😂 most likely be a while before I ovulate so I’ll have to sit back and be patient, although really interested to see if the Conceive Plus Ovulation Support shortens my cycles.

LeeTTCRainbow · 10/06/2021 08:54

@Laurenxx94 yes same here regarding the sticks and app and all 3 of my apps had different ovulation days so was confusing to start with.

Aww that sounds like a lovely way, yes I know what you mean excitement just takes over that was like my second time took a test and just called him up 🤦‍♀️ first time was a little nicier as we did together we had just finished decorating the Christmas tree and I took a test as had hot sweats all day I just shouted as my line was coming up omg there’s a line! his response with, theirs meant to be a line I was like nooo there’s two lines, I’m pregnant!! in between sobbing we then just held eachother crying and took a pic of test infront of tree. Was perfect tbh.

Yes cramps are a b*h dose yourself up on some painkillers and use a hot water bottle over the cramping area of your stomach that really helped me, also a hot bath helped my body relax through the cramps. Do you have to work today? Xx

LeeTTCRainbow · 10/06/2021 08:57

@dunkedbiscuit sorry for your losses, and good luck with this month keeping everything crossed for you. 🤞 xx

LeeTTCRainbow · 10/06/2021 09:03

@SkeletonSkins welcome sorry to hear you suffer with PCOS but honestly don’t let that worry my few of my friends have the same one fell pregnant first time trying now has a beautiful 4 week old and other fell after 3 months has a 1 year old and another on the way they all got told could take them longer or be harder etc.. well they are living proof not all PCOS suffers do, so you never know 🤞 for you. Xx

Fiep · 10/06/2021 09:09

@SkeletonSkins my friend also has PCOS and fell pregnant within a couple of months!

Kipkay35 · 10/06/2021 09:14

Hi everyone! I'm CD 30 10/11 DPO. I'm month 8 in TTC with 1 early miscarriage.

Feeling so sad today as took a test and it's BFN. I'm starting to feel like something is wrong, I'm sure we're doing everything right.

Has anyone had any fertility investigations before 1 year? I'm 31, normal BMI, no medical issues, taking the vitamins, exercising etc

Wishing you all good luck this month! X

dunkedbiscuit · 10/06/2021 09:28

Ahh sorry for the BFN @Kipkay35 😕 it could be a bit early for a positive though? When is AF due? Keeping my fingers crossed that your not out yet x

Kipkay35 · 10/06/2021 09:31

@dunkedbiscuit tomorrow or maybe Saturday. Let's see, fingers crossed! Maybe next month is the month? Smile

SkeletonSkins · 10/06/2021 09:44

Thanks @LeeTTCRainbow and @Fiep, that’s actually really reassuring to know. Fingers crossed my story is similar!

My preseed arrived this morning and opks arrived yesterday so at least I’m prepared!!
