Welcome to the newbies and it really is sad reading of all the losses, but I think coming to MN really does help, you realise it's not just you and affects so many people which I think when TTC you forget as normally you just see all the 'happily pregnant' post!

Can I ask what the sperm analysis entails - we are now in month 7 of trying and trying to get OH to ring up and ask for a sperm analysis is something else 😂 he's convinced he will ring up the doctors and have to get the sample while in the doctors? Surely not?? 🤨 I'm thinking maybe if I have abit more information on it, he will do it this month haha 😂

We're doing this soon. I'm in Australia but you can do the sample at home but you've to return it within an hour OR yes they do have a 'sample room' in there (with porn/magazines) oh they joys.

@SkeletonSkins I'm taking preg vits, coq10, omega 3, vit D, selenium, magnesium and sometimes zinc!

Argh so frustrated...think I might be out this month before we've even started trying! I've been a bit confused by the poas because I'm due to ovulate next Tuesday so started poas 3 days ago, as advised by my app. However, line on day 1 was quite strong and has got progressively more faint. Just started tonight with EWM and now the app has just updated itself to say I've ovulated today!! Tonight was our first night trying this cycle and DH cannot perform because he's totally knackered from work and it was all zero sexy! If we'd managed it this evening it might have been just under the wire?

So is that it...am I out for another month do you think??!! Action was only just supposed to be starting FFS!!!!

Would you say the line is as dark as the control line? I've sometimes mistakes it for my peak but it's not just quite there then a few days later it appears! Don't count yourself out yet especially if your not due to ovulate yet! Thanks for ageing your vitamins . I only take folic acid and Vit D should I take more? X

@GoingGently oh bloody hell how annoying is that! Do you have regular cycles? I have long cycles so I’ll sometimes get a stronger opk at other times cause my hormone levels are all over the show. Do you BBT? Fingers crossed it wasn’t the main event.

@GoingGently is it your first month using OPKs? I'd keep going for a while just in case you get a second peak, but then next month start from the day AF stops...? That's a huge shift though if you're normally regular.

If I'm not pg this month my body's playing a really cruel trick. Back ache at 8dpo, cramps yesterday at 9dpo with a headache, temp still high, absolutely exhausted. But BFN at 10dpo.

@Willow1982 I’m 10dpo and af is due next Wednesday but who knows if that’s right! I’ve had some cramping, lower back ache and tender breasts. I had the same last month but last month was much more intense. I’m trying to get as much rest as possible but really I don’t think it’s my month. I don’t think I’ll even test! Thank you. I had a lovely day, the weather helps! That’s a good idea, not saying anything. I might do the same. Let us know how you get on with your testing. Are you away soon? xx

I am doing BBT and the app is still saying I ovulated yesterday  DH also still looking very uninterested in DTD.

I have regular cycles that are slightly on the longer side normally, but I have never had much luck with LH tests. Even the month I got pregnant last year I never saw a positive. So I'm taking them with a pinch of salt but I think BBT is maybe more accurate

@SkeletonSkins I started taking coq10 ubiquinol form after reading it starts with the egg. It's recommended for older couples and after we had chromosomal problem in first baby i thought worth a shot. No idea if it's helping!

@GoingGently it does add so much pressure onto the sexy side of things doesn’t it. I don’t tell DH whether I’m peaking so he lives in blissful ignorance thinking I just really wanted him. Lol. 🤣

So AF came yesterday, a day early, and it’s basically stopped already. So now I’m like “OMG COULD IT BE IMPLANTATION BLEEDING INSTEAD” (capitalisation to represent the degree of obsession in my mind). But we haven’t DTDed since 16 days ago so surely not? I don’t want to get my hopes up just when I’ve resigned myself to another failed cycle (and booked a shopping trip and boozy evening out)!

So I googled this and it looks like implantation happens 5-10 days after conception, which can be up to 5 days after sex. But that presumably depends on when you ovulate? We had sex 16 days ago on a peak opk reading, so it must just be an exceptionally light period. I don’t really know what’s normal for me to be honest as my periods have been weird since taking out the copper coil, and before the coil I was either pregnant, breastfeeding, on another coil or pill. Maybe I just have light ones. I only started my periods age 17 and went pretty much straight on the pill!

@Fiep yes I think I'll approach things that way in the future!! We have both been flipping knackered this week which does not help at all! Lots of stressful things going on...

When I got my BFP I'd had implantation bleeding one or two days before AF due so maybe? Fingers crossed for you!

@Twochews78 god I can’t believe your 10dpo and I havnt even started yet, you’ll be lapping me next cycle haha!! Fingers crossed for you, do you think you will test before Wednesday? Tested yesterday and got a low as expected, I only test in the afternoons now like you said, will test again later, I’m away 19th -26th so will be well in the TWW I think, good distraction I hope!! Keep me posted if you test early xx

Finally AF has shown her ugly face. 4 weeks and 2 days after my Miscarriage. At least I can move on now . Here we go TTC cycle 4 here I come . How are you @dunkedbiscuit ? Thanks for the blog recommendation :-)

I've decided I'm not going to temp, or take OPKs this month. Just gonna have sex every 3 days from tomorrow and see if I'm more laid back.

I've got into a right state recently and it's not good mentally. Likely that I'll be going back on anti depressants too after being off of them for 9 months 😔

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage I too just had one last week and hoping to ovulate as normal. Would you say your cycle this month was just the same as any other , hope your ok about AF arriving it's really tough this TtC journey xx

@GoingGently oh I think the supplement I take includes that, fingers crossed it helps us make those eggs nice and strong!!

Hi @KSmith94, is this your first baby? How many cycles have you been trying? This will be my first cycle TTC #1 so I’m a total newbie.

What’s the best time of day to do an OPK? Im out and about with work as I go into lots of different schools so I’m not sure what time to go for, would 4pm be too late in the day?

@Laurenxx94 I think so . I felt ovulation pain around D14 post mc and normally I ovulate cycle day 13-14 and I normally have 27 ish day cycles so I guess slightly longer this time but I'm hoping all will return to normal now . Will see what this cycle brings x

@SkeletonSkins it would be my 2nd baby if I am pregnant as I haven't long had our first back in March and didn't realise I was ovulating til the ewcm showed up the other day after we dtd so it would be a happy surprise if I am

Trying to conceive at 42. First pregnancy was a surprise & sadly ended Jan 2020 at 15 weeks due to trisomy18. Haven’t had any luck ttc for 11 months. Currently trying to improve egg quality by taking conception vits & 300mg ubiquinol. I’ve eased off extra vit D whilst it’s sunny & need to be consistent with omega 3. Been using the CB ovulation sticks & will try pre-seed next cycle.
