Newbie looking for some support

Hi ladies,

I’ve been lurking for a few days, just seeing what the deal is, trying to work out some of the terminology used, mostly going to post but then getting scared and carry on lurking haha.

I don’t really have anyone I can talk about the TTC journey with in my real life as we aren’t telling anyone as it stands so I’m hoping maybe I can make a few friends here that I can obsess and stress out with 🤣

I’m currently CD 7 in my first cycle so tracking with OPKs every day right now so that I can get a clearer picture of my cycle each month.

I’m 30 and this will be our 1st,

If anyone has any advice/is in a similar position to me or just wants a natter I’d love to hear from you 😊

@Peachycream yes I seen that, I felt that with CB I had an accurate reading circle-flashing-static-ovulation .. but I understand! Have to look after our mental health also or we'll lose the plot! Xx

Hey Ladies hope you're all well! Well I am on CD16 yet to see a positive opk (got the pink smiley ones from cb), I only tested once a day in the morning so wondering if I missed the surge potentially. Been BDing when we feel like it so a few times over the past week and I have had some EWCM so very confused as to what my body is up to haha! Think I will keep testing twice a day now morning and afternoon and then carry on DTD and see if AF arrives in 2 weeks lol! Anyone else ever experienced this? :)

@Dannii892 I can’t be sure either way to be honest, my cheap OPKs my levels will still slowly rising after I’d had the static on my CB so I would say, it was possibly like a day out, if at all, but my levels peaked quite high, I think the CB only has to pick up a certain amount of both hormones and then it will give you your static, but I can’t be sure because I can’t climb inside my own body, much to my annoyance! either way, it’s over now and it’ll either work or it won’t, no point dwelling on it 😂

@Aries491 well hello! Sorry to hear you’re unsure what’s going on! Keep testing twice hun you may not have missed it yet. I realise that’s not help to you at all but I have no answers, but I didn’t want to ignore you 😂

Haha no worries @peachycream :) trying not to stress about it as I know stress does nothing good so just gonna carry on testing DTD and see what happens! Our bodies are just so weird and naively you think it'll be easy lol! How are you doing?

How is everyone else doing I need a brew and a read of these weekend posts:) x

@KayL1988 I ordered them slow delivery rather than next day from Amazon to remove the temptation to test too early haha. Reckon they’ll be here Wednesday so might do Thursday FMU. Excited but also apprehensive!

No I get that @Aries491 stress can completely knock everything out. You’ve been DTD anyway so hopefully even if you didn’t catch it on a test you’ve still hit it. Fingers crossed for you lovely xx

I had 2 days of flashing smileys and on the 3rd day I tested in the evening because my OH was out the following evening and didn't want to miss the static one.. we DTD 3 days leading up and the morning of ovulation in that evening.. I haven't noticed any CM at all though I don't think so I also have no idea what's going on - just trying to get on with stuff lol

@Peachycream I know.. when do you think you will test or will you hold off for AF?

Thanks @Peachycream hopefully we caught it but if not I'll keep using the opks each cycle and gauge an idea of how everything works lol.

Hiya @dannii892 it is a minefield isn't it?! I've only recently started looking at CM lol before ttc it was just one of those things. Hopefully you've caught your ovulation peak too, we DTD 3 times last week and yesterday morning which was my predicted ov day and gonna probably continue a few times this week, what CD are you currently?

Hi all! Hope you're having a lovely day. I'm trying to stay away from google, do any of you know if tiny cramps are an early symptom? Like little tiny stabbing pains? Also more discharge than normal? So sorry for TMI but we're all girls here

Hey lovely, I've only ever heard that small cramps are either ovulation or implantation cramps BUT you wouldn't get a positive test before implantation occurs .. or it's could be your uterus expanding x

@Dannii892 we will be testing on the same day then if my AF doesn’t arrive haha!

@ConfusedNewbie21 what your discharge looks like will give you more of an idea of where you are lovely but that is also relying on you knowing what is normal for you from cycle to cycle

Let’s try and help you work out your dates a little @ConfusedNewbie21 between us all we should be able to have at least a rough guess of where you are, right ladies?

Do you know what cycle day you are? If not
When was the first day of your last period?
When is your next period due?

@Peachycream you're so sweet! This is the thing though, I really don't have a regular cycle because I had just came out of PCOS! So since then I have had one full cycle but have been waiting well over a month for my next period. I literally can't see a way to go off dates. I'm so jelous of you all, you know exactly what you're talking about ! xxx

@ConfusedNewbie21 well my understanding of PCOS is that it’s a lifelong thing hun, you can treat the cysts with surgery and medications but it doesn’t go away. Which is why your current cycle could be a bit jacked xx

No, lots of women get pregnant with pcos lovely, but if you’re trying it may take a little longer. If you know when your last bleed was you can work out where you should be. I’ll tag in @CTMcG she has PCOS she she might be able to tell you more than I can

@ConfusedNewbie21 @Peachycream hi girls, sorry haven't read back too much as in work but got the tag so came on! Haha

Pcos isnt necessarily for life but it can be... there are different types! I dont actually have any cysts on my ovaries but i do have irregular periods and chin hair etc! Some people have pcos and find it hard to have babies, some find it really easy so its not one size fits all!

Its too early for me to know which way i fall as im only on cycle 1 of ttc#1 but i am on day 48 with no sign of af or bfp which is so typical this has happened on my first cycle trying as my last cycle was only 34 days!

Sorry girls I don’t know much about PCOS so I can’t help with that I’m afraid. There will be lots of forums on here though @ConfusedNewbie21!

Same with pregnancy symptoms. I’d take all my symptoms as pregnancy symptoms haha but only time will tell! I think cramps and sore boobs can potentially be symptoms but everyone is different.

I might test on Saturday.. I’ll be 10DPO. I only have an 11day luteal phase so if AF arrives she’ll show the following Monday 🤞🏻

@Peachycream @CTMcG How much chin hair are we talking? I got told by a doctor I have polycystic ovaries but not necessarily PCOS because I have regular periods and don’t think I have excess body hair. The chin hair on the other hand is real... so maybe I do have PCOS after all just with regular periods? This whole thing is a minefield!

@GingerTea333 I don’t have PCOS, I have chin hair because I had the implant, since I had it removed it has improved, but the struggle was real! Haha
