Hi Ladies,

I was hopeful this month but can feel signs of AF creeping up and due in a couple of days..

I'm not too distraught as we only managed it a couple of times in my fertile week so thought it may be the case this month was a no. Now I am so ready to get annoying AF out of the way and get on the May bus!

Is anyone else in the same boat and hoping next month is the one?

I am taking folic and vitamin D at the moment but I'm going to add DHA and co-q10 as well as I've heard v good things.

Good luck to those going for May... it's my birthday in May too and I've asked for a baby 😂

@beckyCarlos pineapple core, Brazil nuts and pomegranate juice. I swear I may try standing on my head this cycle 🤣 I'm willing to try anything if anyone has anymore suggestions xx

Pineapple core?! Just googling lol. Brazil nuts and pomegranate going on the tescos list right now. Ive done some leg elevation afterwards but shuffling round isnt the most graceful and can lead to...spillages 😂

Losd · 29/04/2021 18:47

@angc30 I’ve heard of pineapple core too! It also helps induce labour apparently, I tried eating it from 39 weeks last time when I just plain fed up with my back-to-back pregnancy but I don’t think it helped. Will give it a go for conception of baby 2 though!

FayLiv · 30/04/2021 10:16

A day late now if my glow app is correct.
Still feeling like period is coming. I won't test unless I am seriously late as I don't want the disappointment! I ordered a FRER last month and my period arrived just before it was delivered what a bummer 😂

Anyone else close to af?

@FayLiv good luck!! 1 day late is promising! xx I'm so bad at waiting. I'm due on on Monday and I had a little spotting but I still tested. BFN but knew that was going to happen because of the spotting. I'm just ready for AF to arrive now

@Losd no harm in trying them all!!

Losd · 30/04/2021 11:52

@FayLiv ooh that sounds promising!! Fingers crossed for you! My cycles have been weird since I stopped breastfeeding so I’m either due on Tuesday or Friday, judging by my absolutely rotten stinking mood today I’m guessing Tuesday.

FayLiv · 30/04/2021 12:03

Well guess what .. she's back...back again!

Not too surprising. That's fine - we will go again next month. I'm ready! 💃 Just need to get this period out of the way first 😂

All the best for May girls x

Hey Everyone! This is our first proper month TTC - quite scary but also also very exciting! Got some opks and hoping that will help me understand what's going on! any top tips for TTC? xx Smile

Kipkay35 · 30/04/2021 16:18

Hi everyone! We're on cycle 8, I got rid of the OPKs last month & tried to 'relax' a bit. I'm actually in the fertile week now and we DTD a bit more before ovulation (previously mostly during/ after). I'm getting quite impatient now. I feel like this month will be difficult for me if it's another month with no BFP!
Good luck everyone x

Hopefullandtrying · 30/04/2021 16:33

Hi everyone, I'm CD4, month 4 TCC #2 and now feeling super impatient!! I've not been tracking ovulation, just DTD every other day, but maybe need to up my game this month...

Sleepyquest · 30/04/2021 16:34

Me! TTC #2
Dd was conceived in cycle 1 so hoping for the same again but understand that's unlikely
Fingers crossed for everyone Smile

@kipkay35 this is about where I am, POAS is 100% addictive! I'm on cycle 9/10 depending on how you count. Good luck! X
Trinacham · 30/04/2021 18:06

CD1 one for me today, first cycle trying.

charlotte0808 · 30/04/2021 18:30

Still getting positive test third day today

It's May ladies! I'm excited to start TTC, just want AF to hurry up so we can get on with it but I'm only about 5dpo so I've got to wait (patience isn't my strongest point!)

Good luck everyone 🤞🤞🤞

Losd · 01/05/2021 15:28

@polkadotpixie I’m 8 (possibly 10) dpo just now-my cycles have switched from 28-31 days recently so I’m not sure. I’m the same, I just want af here now so I can try again next month. I got a bfn today which I know is early but I’m so sure I’m out this month I just want things to speed up now so I can try again! X

Aila1994 · 01/05/2021 16:51

@charlotte0808 same thing happens to me every month, I get 3 days of identical positive ovulation strip tests + solid smileys! I always just assume I ovulate in the days following my final positive test!

I’m onto month 4 of trying this month so have just binned the ovulation tests for this month, think they are causing me more stress than necessary 🤦‍♀️!

charlotte0808 · 01/05/2021 16:55

Hey @Aila1994 jan feb and April I had chemicals so it's the sticking that buggers me I kinda know what to expect now but never really had such strong ovulation tests but if this time doesn't work I'm going to have a break x

VixFromThe6ix · 01/05/2021 18:21

Hi ladies!!
Af made itself present 3 days ago, so I'm excited to ttc this month again.
I have equipped myself with a thermometer now and have been temping. I got those smiley face ovulation tests on top of my easy@home cheapies. Got different strips for pregnancy testing. I am ready!!!!!
Oh, and hubby, of course. He doesn't have a choice but to deliver when the sticks say goooo 🤣🤣🥰
Good luck to everyone that's also ttc this month!!
Fingers crossed for bfp for us all. 💕💕💕

Bee44 · 01/05/2021 18:54

Me 🙋🏼‍♀️ CD1 for me today so on to cycle #5 once it's finished! Feeling so deflated this month, I know 5 months isn't a long time in the grand scheme of things but I really thought it would've happened by now 😕 TTC #1

Snowdonia · 02/05/2021 08:48

@Losd Yeah sounds pretty similar. I'm due between Monday and Thursday depending on whether I'm finally back to a 28 day cycle after coming off the pill! My face is currently covered in spots which always happens a week before I'm due, so looking likely April is ruled out and hopeful for May!

HardcoreParkour · 02/05/2021 10:37

It'll join the May-be Baby Club!

DS will be 11 months this month and DH and I are ready to try for #2. I'm 36 and CD9 today. Will be breaking out and dusting off the Clearblue Digital OPKs to start testing next week.

Looking forward to seeing all the BFPs that I'm sure this thread will bring 🤞🏼

FayLiv · 03/05/2021 10:11

Morning.

Pleased to see lots of replies ladies!

I am so excited to try again for May..few more days of af.. hurry up!

I am taking folic acid, vitamin D, coq10 and fish oil with DHA. Is there anything else anyone recommends? Also I have always bought the cheap opks to begin with then use alongside the clear blue opks that pin point your 2 most fertile days - so no flashing just empty circle to a smiley face when it's high fertility.

My question is, has anyone tried both and which do you prefer? I need to order another pack but unsure which to go for?

X

@FayLiv I bought clearblue in Jan to started tracking for a few months before TTC in April. Had it really spot on, then managed to lose the actual device the week before trying! So I had to use the (out of date) opk cheapies that I had from when I was TTC baby number 1, and got positives 4 days in a row, so I have to say I def prefer the clearblue, there’s no blurred lines with them, like im not sure if all 4 days I got a positive really were positive or it was just close? So I tried the whole time anyway but still not sure I caught it. Did a pregnancy test this morning (probably 10dpo) and negative, will be using the clearblue for may x

I agree they do give you that extra reassurance your body is doing the right thing. I am just wondering really whether you get the clear blue which detects your 4 most fertile days with the flashing smileys that then turn static or just Get the clear blue that detects your 2 high fertile days. I have been dtd on the days I get a smiley but I have now heard you usually ovulate the day after you get your smiley so I need to remember that this month! X
