Hi Claire

You couldn't send Vampira over here could you please?

I'm on day 36 post mc now. Feeling rather crampy etc so I hope she's on her way. Never thought I'd wish for AF to visit, but I just want to get back to normal and start ttc again.

Hope everyone is well, and that assorted cats are not blushing... lol

thanks DG I have wine!

GB we could timeshare - you have her during the day and she can come back to me evenings? You'll be glad to know we're not putting on a display for the kitties tonight

Just reading through and catching up - Shazza my sympathy to you, its really hard to deal with I know.

Hello toytownmum and mrsei waves

Sarah the reflexology sounds good - were abouts on your feet was it she touched? I've been thinking of this for myself as since the mc I hate having my feet touched just below the balls of my feet as it is really sensitive an I wondered if it could be something that reflexology would help with.

hello to everyone else

I had very bad cramps yesterday, and last night. So bad that I took a pill and made a hotwater bottle for myself. As if AF is here already. If AF arrives I hope it will be in this week coming, because I worked out that AF will arive the day before our flight to SA!

lockets24 · 15/11/2007 08:14

on laptop..in bed this morning before getting up for work, dh on a mission this month for a baby, i am totally exhausted cant complain can i bless him!!

lots of baby dust to you all

x

07mumstheword · 15/11/2007 08:46

I've been reading but not posting these last couple of days as driving myself mad with the TTC! I'm CD19 and figure I can test in a weeks time but don't think there will be much point as don't think this is our month yet again.

Anyway I wanted to post to my cycle buddy shazza Your feelings are completely normal, joy for your friend and disappointment for yourself.
Yesterday I went to see a friend of mine who had her 2nd baby last week and my other friend was there with her buldging bump who is due in March (mine would also have been due in March if it had stuck ). I felt massive but more so for the friend with a bump? . I wasn't offered a hold of the baby and for that I was glad because I didn't want to, is that bad?

Claire So sorry TEW got you.

Hello to everyone else and sorry for such a miserable post! I'll cheer up later.

lockets24 · 15/11/2007 09:01

07mumstheword that must have been a very difficult vist for you..happiness at their happiness but i totally get the for yourself, hopefully they will have understood and been sensitive.

hugs

x

07mumstheword · 15/11/2007 09:24

Thanks Lockets Thinking about it they were sensitive towards me but I didn't tell them how I'm feeling because I don't want them to know and feel sorry for me.

digitalgirl · 15/11/2007 09:51

{{{hugs}}} mtw well done for putting on a brave face. I haven't held a baby since deciding to ttc...no-one I know has had one recently so I'm not sure how I'd react.

Although thinking about it, I'd quite like to snuggle one right now this morning, don't care who's it is. Watch out ladies with babies DG is BROODY!

shazza hope you had a shagtastic time last night!

well me ole cycle buddies - looks like you're both racing ahead of me towards testing time! I've still not hatched and will be going out tonight for a few glasses of vino at my friend's leaving do. maybe that'll do the trick!

Shazza2002 · 15/11/2007 09:53

Morning all.

Thanks again for your support, I really have gotten over myself today which is a damn good thing.

Cycle buddy MTW, you sound so down, cheer up, this could be your month, you had your smiley face, did the BDing, and even if it isn't this month you have learnt more about your cycle which makes you well prepared for future months.

Cycle buddy DG Still no egg I see? Grrrr. How's your temps doing?

Sorry claire TEW came back, that must have been really horrible for you.

Hi to everybody else who's still hoping to get BFP before christmas, it's still possible

CD19 today, peak on CBFM yesterday and today. BD last night and plan to tomorrow. I know we should try and give it a go tonight but still want to be able to enjoy it and not put too much pressure on DP. Plus we have been quite active over the past few weeks so I'm not sure I could handle it 2 days in a row I feel if we did last night and do tomorrow that should cover all bases, I hope

sarahnh · 15/11/2007 09:56

Hi Claire,

Reflexology is actually quite nice. I don't particularly like people playing with my feet but it is actually really relaxing. Apparently your fallopian tubes are at front of your fott leading into your ankles, the actually ovaries are around your ankle bones and your uterus is on the opposite side...

It really hurt around that area for me yesterday and she said that i had crunchy tubes!!! i think that just means that they were crunched up so she really went over the area to smooth things out!!

I feel very positive today!!

OP posts:
GryffinGirl · 15/11/2007 10:34

DG and MTW - not sure where I read this, but apparently a woman is more likely to conceive if she cuddles babies. The smell of newborn babies and the action of cuddling them apparently release hormones and increase liklihood of conception. So if you have a friend who has a little baby and lets you cuddle her/him, it might be a good thing .

Oh, I've remembered now, it was Iman (David Bowie's wife, top model lady) who said that in African cultures that cuddling babies is recognised to help women conceive and it worked for her when she was 45. I read it in a magazine at the hairdressers, so it must be true !!!

lockets - my DH is the same this month . He is on a baby making mission. I certainly can't complain that he is not taking it seriously! And it's fun too

So sorry AF turned up Claire

Welcome to Mrsei - hope your stay with us is not a long one

shazza - thinking of you too

digitalgirl · 15/11/2007 10:44

somebody find me a baby to cuddle NOW!!!

my boss's wife is overdue...will definitely be paying her a visit

Shazza2002 · 15/11/2007 10:58

Thanks for that GG Well I held my friends baby for about 2 hours on Sunday, got my peak on Wednesday so who knows

Glad you're all enjoying your DP's putting in the extra effort. Mine asked me what's up with me lately, as in why do I want it more and is it just cause I want a baby. Part of it is definitely cause of that, but there is a huge, like bloody massive part of it because I'm no longer on the pill, but men don't seem to understand about that do they

MarkStretch · 15/11/2007 11:02

Hello- do I qualify to join?

Me and DP had our dr's app this morning and are being referred to St Barts in London for fertility treatment. Excited and scared and not sure what to expect!

MissusH · 15/11/2007 11:16

Hi All (and to our newest members mrsei & markstretch )

I think AF is on her way - bit crampy this morning & slight brown spotting...boooo!!

It's earlier than normal (usually have a 32 cycle) which is odd but I won't count as cd1 until she starts in earnest!

DH came home from work this morning and saw that I was . I told him and he said we should make more of an effort next cycle. Hoo-bloody-ray the penny has finally dropped with him - thunk!

Seems he has finally realised that timing is everything and that regular bd-ing is the way forward....

Shazza2002 · 15/11/2007 11:19

Welcome markstretch No entry rules here.

Just have to be TTC I think . All very friendly, I only joined few weeks ago and now wonder how I've managed to get by without MN

ladylush · 15/11/2007 11:34

sorry for all those at beginning of their cycle

Did you have a nice evening Shazza? I didn't go for it last night as I was dog tired after work but did it yesterday morning and this morning, so hopefully covered our bases Just out of interest, does anyone know how far after ovulation sperm can reach egg?

MarkStretch · 15/11/2007 11:34

Excellent. I already have a 5yr old with my ex but been with DP 3 yrs and now trying. He knows he has low sperm count so we will need help. I was soooo nervous about the dr's earlier but she was lovely. Going for blood tests next week and then the waiting list is about 4-6 months I think. Am excited but scared!

Shazza2002 · 15/11/2007 11:42

Hi ladylush Had a great evening thankyou.

very impressed at your 2 days in a row, I think bases well and truely covered.

I have been looking that up too. Apparently egg can be fertilized for upto 24 hours after fertilization.

JollyBear · 15/11/2007 11:48

Hello there,

Can I please join you? I've only just started TTC, this will be my second month. Rather hoped it might happen first time (silly me) but AF arrived yesterday!! Boooooo.

ladylush · 15/11/2007 11:49

Ok so no point in doing it again - unless it's for pleasure's sake We have been at it since cd7 (with only one day break) so please let this be the month [praying emoticon]
