Shazza2002 · 30/11/2007 11:14

Just saw on the other thread about your temps staying up DG That's good isn't it?

PoinsettiaBouquets · 30/11/2007 12:53

There have been advantages to my 2ww so far - have been baking like crazy to take my mind off it so cake's up at mine! Plus, DS has his first ever appt with a specialist on Wed to determine whether he has a development issue or whether he's just a weird kid. Have been far too busy thinking about poss of pregnancy to worry about what's going to happen at that. But TBH it'll be fine, if he's normal, hurray (but !); if not, he'll get some help. All I can think about is shuffling rooms about to fit a baby.

digitalgirl · 30/11/2007 13:32

have just eaten a GIANT bowl of food! is that a pg symptom??

shazza yes, temps are still up. am trying to remain rational and not get my hopes up. I do still feel like AF is round the corner. i have ewcm, which i got last cycle the day before AF arrived .
and yep, will be ttc'ing all through christmas - can't get rid of me that easily!

poinsettia i LOVE baking cakes. what are you baking today? I have some more pumpkin so I may do another batch of muffins. I hope your DS is ok, weird sometimes equals extremely brainy and/or gifted with a creative talent

Shazza2002 · 30/11/2007 14:31

DG Was it up last month too? Temps that is, I can hear all you ladies chuckling

JollyBear · 30/11/2007 14:47

Did someone say baking?! Oooooh I love baking so much, cakes, buns, biscuts, muffins, all fun to make and great to eat. What are you making Poinsetta?

DG I've never tried a sweet pumpkin recipe, is it worth trying?

Naughty Shazza!!

I have nothing to report, still BDing as I don't think I've had any EWCM yet! Hope to start symptom spotting sometime next week!

hidingbehindthesofa · 30/11/2007 15:17

hi again all,
busy times behind the sofa.
wow what a lot of symptoms!! whose testing this weekend?
i couldn't wait and did a cheap sainsbury's test yesterday. BFN. but i think it was barely 9 dpo so a little silly to waste 3.99 like that.
anyway. due on on tues but will probably not be able to wait that long. have a clear blue in the bathroom cupboard which may get opened tmrw morn...
im really thirsty as well. still tired and getting some watery CM which i'm very pleased to see listed as a symptom
hope yr all having a good friday.

PoinsettiaBouquets · 30/11/2007 17:06

Well, twice I've made a sour cream cake from this Saturday's Guardian baking special but they were both pretty disappointing. Made these cool vegan gram flour pancakes from it though, great teatime snacks. Yesterday I also made some mini raisin cakes to stuff the kids with.
Pumpkin pie is surprisingly nice actually, very very sweet. And you can put cooked pureed pumpkin into pancake batter instead of milk.

poppysocks · 30/11/2007 17:07

Oh all this talk of baking. Sadly our oven is a menace and can't actually explain what temperature it is at. Fine for most stuff, more or less, but useless for baking as I discover every time I think that maybe it's having a better day.

DG that sounds really promising. Fingers and toes crossed for you. And everyone else. All looking good at the moment isn't it.

I had the same tummy pains last night, but have decided it's nothing to do with PG as it really would be FAR too early (still only 5 DPO, possibly 6 at most). I've been doing really odd hours for the last few weeks and have decided it was my body's way of wondering why on earth I've been sitting at my desk at 2am for the last two nights.

So, no real symptoms to report here today.

Keep them coming into the weekend though!

digitalgirl · 30/11/2007 17:36

Here's my pumpkin muffin recipe

they're in the oven right now

Poinsettia did you make the pumpkin pie from the Guardian Weekend recipe?

Anyway, back to my 2ww:
have just tested with an opk to see if i'm oving. all this ewcm is confusing me. i'm not ovulating

shazza my temps aren't as high as they were last month. it may have something to do with the acupuncture. I'll see if they stay up over the weekend. Am only on 11dpo of a potentially 15 day luteal phase.

hiding yes, watery-cm is a good sign. and don't worry about a BFN on 9dpo, but do let us know if you're testing tomorrow!

ps I had tummy and ov-like pains from 1dpo to 7dpo. I think it's the womb lining fattening up.

Hello all, well no AF yet. I had a bit of period pain yesterday but none today

I don't know whats going on? If AF isn't here by Sunday i am testing again with urine from first thing in the morning!

PoinsettiaBouquets · 30/11/2007 21:35

Nah, can't rmember where my pumpkin pie recipe was from, think it had condensed milk in it

digitalgirl · 01/12/2007 10:06

morning ladies, my temp has plummeted. i took it twice and even rolled the thermometer round my mouth hoping to find warmer pockets. but no, it looks like AF is definitely on her way . don't even have any symptoms today.

Bucky2007 · 01/12/2007 10:42

Oh dg I'm gutted for you. Maybe the thermometer is broken??? The only positive I can come up with is that maybe the acupunture is helping your cycles, because if she turns up in the next day or so that will be one of your shorter cycles no?

hidingbehindthesofa · 01/12/2007 11:02

hi all,
tested this morning. BFN. feel a bit defeated today but still feel preggers.
giong to try not to test till tuesday now.

TwilightSurfer · 01/12/2007 11:17

DG so if you temp stays high, you're pregnant? I've not gotten that far on the fertility friends site. The whole temping game is oddly confusing to me but I might try it if my AF ever "officially" appears.

digitalgirl · 01/12/2007 15:32

yeah bucky it could be a super short one for me if AF comes today/tomorrow. Will wait till it actually comes before tipping my acupuncturist tho.

Am crossing my fingers that it's an implantation dip, but I thought it would have coincided with the spotting on Thursday night and happened yesterday.

I usually wake up with awful cramps the day before and the day AF comes . I don't have cramps today. I'm going to have to stop speculating until I see what my temp does tomorrow.

twilight I'm also using Fertility Friend to chart my temps. If you get high temps for 18 days or more it's very likely you're pg. Mind you, most people will have tested by then! Your temp usually falls on the day of (or the day before) AF - which is quite useful if you want to save money on wasted tests.

sorry for the bfn hiding are you overdue AF yet?

GryffinGirl · 01/12/2007 22:05

evening all!

All this talk of baking is making my mouth water! The only problem with home baking is that you want to eat it all . There is a recipe/cookery section on MN somewhere which I keep meaning to check out.

Well, running thought the Gryffin stats for today - I am at CD24, have tender (.)(.) which I've had for the last few days and not much else. The sore norks tend to disappear just before AF arrives, so I'll know if they suddenly go back to feeling normal that this is not my month. I am really not getting my hopes up this cycle. Don't want to tempt fate for another disappointment month . There have been too many.

DG fingers crossed your temp dip is an anomaly or something and not a symptom of AF. It's not quite the same as a BFP, but I think that Bucky is right about even if AF does turn up, it must be a sign of your cycles regulating, which is good news

shreksmissus hope you are not down today and thinking of you, cycle buddy. When are you testing?

hello to CBCB, abbey starlight twighlightand 07MTW. Sorry to anyone missed and hello to the graduates like Shazza

Can't believe we are a month away until Christmas. I braved Oxford Street today and it was lovely because it was pedestrianised for the day and they had halted all traffic - brilliant. Didn't actually buy anything though 'cause I was too busy enjoying the Christmas lights .

Now it is December, I feel a little down even though I LOVE Christmas. 11th Dec is the day when DH and I first chucked away my pill packet in fear and trepidation of falling Pg within a month. I really didn't think i would still be obsessing 12 months later

Hi Ladies

Just thought I would say a quik hello whilst I was in your neck of the woods. Some promising symptoms here. Mrssparkler I had late AF and few BFN'S then BFP so you know what they say 'ITS NOT OVER TIL THE RED LADY SINGS'

Rubbish weather here, trying to keep busy as as am spotting a lot and got bad cramps

Bye ladies.

fingers crossed it's just your womb stretching coolkat

hi beaniesteve

13 dpo and no AF yet, temp went up slightly this morning, but not as high as my peak...so jury's definitely still out.

gg it's those last few days of the cycle now...i managed not to test this morning. tbh if I had any ebay cheapies on me I'd probably would have done one by now. but I've only got a predictor (accurate from day AF is due, not before) and a CBD (which I'm saving up to use after a faint BFP )

don't feel pg, and am still not sure about testing tomorrow. wondering about waiting till thursday/friday. I calculated from my last cycle that I might actually have a luteal phase of 16 days, so AF might hold out till thursday.

PoinsettiaBouquets · 02/12/2007 13:14

Men! DH came home yesterday with an ovulation test by mistake LOL and a dress for DD that was too small grr. Had to go back and exchange them both, dd heartbroken.
Frustrating day today as I got an inconclusive test result this morning . Got a twin pack of early detection tests from Asda and did one first thing (4 days pre AF due) and got a faint line but I think it was after 10mins and apparently this means nothing. So back to plan A and try again Monday am.
