Bucky
If it's any consolation, I got thick creamy CM just before I got my BFP. So it's not all over until TEW gets you.

GryffinGirl · 14/11/2007 09:45

Bucky - can I join in and have a tantrum too?! . I am fed up waiting, planning sex with military precision, being so broody, feeling miserable and generally adding up to an all round fertility failure . I don;t even have the excuse of PMT

AND millionaire marrying PG friend sent me an email this morning from The Palace and the lucky cow hasn't had any morning sickness, nor any weight gain

Grrr. I need to chill out (or everyone will tell me that I will never get PG if I am stressed...which only ever makes you MORE STRESSED!) You'll be packing me off to the Hut Of Doom next

I can't believe we have had such an unlucky BFN and AF arriving month between us all .

Big welcome to Scary

Hi DG and the others. WE need some cheering up, I think

I have LOADS of work to do today, so will scamper off and do some, but will look in through the rest of the day.

Oh, and can anyone answer a question (which I think might have been covered before, but I can't find it ) - when you get EWCM, does that means you are about to ovulate right that minute, or a coupelof days before you ovulate? I thought it was the latter. I get EWCM at day 11-ish, but if that is when I ovulate, I might be too late IYSWIM

Bucky2007 · 14/11/2007 09:54

Gryffingirl as far as I am aware it can be from 5 days before, it gets less as you get older . However, the general advice is to get to it from the time you get it because all the swimmers hide out in it anyway .

madoldbird · 14/11/2007 10:09

{{{{{big hugs}}}}} to everyone here - all the frustrated, angry, tantrumy people. Lets have some footstamping in unison!!!!!

Am leaving a big bar of chocolate in the corner - go nibble!

I laughed at myself this morning. I had rather a lot of trouble "going" IYKWIM and sat there thinking wow, a symptom, must get on to MN and discuss, then i thought no, you silly cow, you are on CD4 it really is just constipation!!! Obsessed? Moi?

digitalgirl · 14/11/2007 10:32

MOB lovin' your symptoms at CD4!!!

{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}} bucky & gg

Buggerations, my temp stayed down low today. WHERE IS MY BLOODY EGG?????
DH came home soooo tired andy achy last night after a hard day's work, I said he could have the night off as long as he'd see to me in the morning . which he did. so no cm/cervix checking for me this morning...probably a good thing.

But yes, planning BD'ing with military precision is beginning to lose it's appeal and I'm only CD18. But can't help thinking, if we don't do it every 36 hours then I'll miss the egg boat! We'll be knackered if i have to keep this up till cd35 again.

pixie04 · 14/11/2007 11:32

DG I want to start temping... what do I need?

Well we do seem to have had a mass influx of AF's haven't we perhaps next month we'll all get our Christmas BFP's hey

(I'm trying positive thinking)

I'm suffering a virtual hangover from all of the wine I drunk in here yesterday. I spent last night on the sofa and watched a mega 5 episodes of Grey's Anatomy season three one after the other. I cried, I laughed it was great. DP did whinge about my PMT as well Bucky but I feel justified, I think he was taking advantage IYSWIM making out I was being more horrible than I really was.

According to my fertility friend chart I won't be ovulating until the 4th December so I am going to let go for the next three weeks and have a bit of fun, gonna drink wine and eat brie so there [sticking tounge out emoticon]

Hope we're all feeling better soon. BIG GROUP {{{{{HUG}}}}}}

GryffinGirl · 14/11/2007 11:39

know what you mean about worrying you'll miss the window of opportunity and trying to get in the mood every 36 hours DG!! My poor DH is very good at doing his "duty", but it takes all the fun out of BDing and he is really tired and busy at work. He managed to cancel the business trip to Zurich on CD 12 and 13, which is a relief!

Sorry to hear about the lack of egg

cheers for the chocolate MOB - just what was required to lift my mood

digitalgirl · 14/11/2007 11:43

pixie you need a digital thermometer that records your temp to at least one tenth of a degree (0.1). I think you can get them from Boots, we had one lying around from when DH got sick abroad and we had to buy one from a Spanish chemist.

Then stick it under your pillow and set your alarm for the earliest time you usually have to get up. when alarm goes off, take your temperature and if you don't have to be up you can go back to sleep for a bit. takes a few days to get used to it, but it's easy once it's part of your routine.

the digital ones usually keep the last temp recorded in it's memory so you can check it later and stick it into fertility friend. it charts it for you and will tell you when you've ov'ed a few days later (so don't use it to time BD'ing).

You have to have at least 3 hours sleep before taking it, so if you get up to go to the loo at 6 and then go back to bed and take your temp at 8 - it'll be wrong. Best to take it at 6 if you're desperate.

pixie04 · 14/11/2007 13:19

Thanks DG I will get shopping!

pixie04 · 14/11/2007 13:26

Just bought one on ebay £4.99 will start charting my temp as soon as I get here. Feel a bit better now that I'm doing something you know... Bring on the December BFP's

ladyhelen2 · 14/11/2007 13:42

Hello ladies, I'm mainly a lurker here - being nosy about others 2WWs! But I think I need to start posting now. I am right in the middle of my 2WW and feeling quite positive about this month.

I OPK'd again this month with some ebay sticks and got a positive result on CD17. We'd BD'd the day before (randy DH) the day of the positive result and the day after (god that was tiring).

I am now CD25.

So here's the question:

What are the rules of the 2WW?

Do you drink? If you are a smoker, do you stop? Do you have caffeine?

What does everyone else do? I'm still drinking a glass of wine a night and a bit more at the weekends. And as soon as that BFP appears and am pg "officially" that stops. I occasionally have a cigarette. I love my lattes. Should I be stopping all these? What are the rules?

sarahnh · 14/11/2007 14:26

well ladies just back from my first reflexology visit. Think it went quite well.. my fallopian tubes are all crunched up and stuff that i didn't really understand... when she pressed the area on my feet i nearly lifted off the bed... she reckons a couple of sessions will ease out the crystals ?! not really sure if i understand all this mumbo jumbo but hey if it helps me to get a BFP bring it on!!!!!!

interesting sarah I shall be watching for your BFP!

welcome ladyhelen everyone makes up their own rules for the 2ww, which tend to change depending on how long you've been trying. I started off not drinking booze or caffeine or eating anything you're not supposed to. Now I'm on cycle 3 I've relaxed a bit.

I think just do whatever it takes to make that 2ww go quicker!

Digital Girl - you've hit the nail on the head for me! Anything to make those 2 weeks go quicker. Am glad to know that someone else not giving up the wine and coffee too. Just yet. Here's hoping there'll be some tee totallers soon with those BFPs.

Am on cycle 8 now on TTC no 2. I am also on the reflexology trip. I've had about 8 treatments so far.

GryffinGirl · 14/11/2007 16:19

Welcome LadyHelen, ma'am . Sounds like you are doing all the right things in the 2WW, LH. I think the best way to approach the 2WW is to assume you are PG and adapt your normal behaviour accordingly.

However,....I've never smoked, but I'm still drinking some wine, although occasional glass, and caffeine - 1 cup of coffee and 1 cup of tea a day. Do I have to give that up too?

sarah - bit baffled by "crunchy tubes". Does she means they are blocked ? When I had reflexology, I apparently had congestion in my piturity (sp?) gland. Erm...right [highly confused emoticon].

GryffinGirl · 14/11/2007 16:28

eeek - just googled the pituitary gland and apparently it controls hormones including sex hormones. So a congested pituitary gland as diagnosed by reflexology is not a good sign for TTC and me. Have I had a premature menopause without noticing . That's it, I'm DOOMED

Bucky2007 · 14/11/2007 16:29

ooh I wanna go and see what stuffed up in my body! Going to google 'reflexology' now...

ladyhelen2 I have spent the last ten months barley ever drinking coffee (only decafe), not drinking alchol when on the 2ww and I don't smoke. Now I am fed up! I'm not getting pregnant very quickly and I'm missing out on things. I am now CD 2 so suppose its okay anyway but am sat here with a lovley cup of coffee and have just planned a girly p*ss up with some friends for this weekend. I'm all for being healthy to try and get pregnant but I'm starting to think a bit of coffee, wine and cheese won't do me or the baby too much harm before I get that BFP.

pixie04 · 14/11/2007 16:46

OMG just read cbcb's post. I didn't know about hot baths either we don't have a shower so both DP and I have baths each day. I am also thinking of cancelling my girly p*ss up planned for this week end

ladyhelen2 · 14/11/2007 16:56

Don't cancel your girlie piss up! Don't deny yourself everything. Its so hard to know what to do for the best though sometimes. When I was just pg with DS1, and didn't know I got horrendously drunk, so much that I threw up. The following morning I suddenly wondered where my period was, did a test and bingo there was a BFP (plus a massive hangover!). The pg went smoothly despite two previous m/c.

Bucky2007 · 14/11/2007 16:58

LOL Pixie, moderation is the key. Besides, how do you and the BFG use the same bath? A little teeny pixie would drown in a giant bath wouldn't you? .

I like dg started off with good intentions, but 6 cycles later I am just living normally and trying not to overdo stuff. Apparently, according to GMTV a binge now and then doesn't hurt even if you are pregnant. I saw that this morning! AND five drinks plus is binging...I drink three and am a gonner so its not a problem .

news about drinking
