at gryffingirl's millionaire marrying knocked up friend . Like dg I never ever make any reference to people who don't have kids having them...I now know that you just DON'T KNOW what people are up to in their personal life. I guess when it just 'happens' to people without them having to try there is no reason why you would though. I'm sure your friend is nice really gg but it's not nice for you so we will all be mad at her for you .

GryffinGirl · 13/11/2007 15:09

sarah - I am very at you slim physique . As far as I know, low body fat reserves and BMI can disrupt your menstrual cycle, but if your cycle is currently normal and that is your natural weight, being very slim shouldn't have too much of an impact. Nicole Ritchie managed it

DG - oh yes, shotgun weddings are, like, completely last year! The last few months have made me very careful what I say to people about TTC and joking about it. Her "you are the only one left" comment is sort of true. Not only is there li'l ol' me longing for it to happen, but I do feel very left behind too

Update is that I bought an OPK today, so shall start peeing on sticks again this weekend. I was using cervical pursuits and EWCM before, but have moved on to more mechanical methods of finding out if I've hatched . My cucle is regular, so I assume they should be pretty accurate?

GryffinGirl · 13/11/2007 15:12

sorry sarah - just noticed that you said your cycles have gone funny . I sounded very insensitive with the last post

Bucky2007 · 13/11/2007 15:14

Bit of a Finn update to cheer gg up. Finn has discovered 'digging'. And boy does he dig . He dug a hole so deep that when I put my foot in it it was past my knee!!! Google said to put his poop in it to stop him digging there. He was horrified . Literally...all four paws left the ground with the shock when he started trying to dig it up again. However, he has just started digging in different locations now, so either I run around collecting sh*t and filling the holes constantly or I need a new plan . He can however now 'sit', lay 'down', 'wait' for his snacks and give me his 'paw' on command and is still super cute.

He has new friend called Bosch who calls for him a couple lunch times a week and DP said the two of them are psychos together. Bless. When DP got home today all he could see was his back feet pointing skywards and his tail sticking out of his kennel. So much for being a guard dog .

sarahnh · 13/11/2007 15:16

not at all gg, i'm just hpoing i can do a nicole richie too!!

LOL at Finn and his digging bucky. Maybe you could turn this behaviour to your advantage ? Did you say once that you needed a new fence? Maybe if you encourage him to dig holes at set intervals around the edge of your garden...et voila...holes for the fence posts! You'll never need a spade again . You could hire him out for other horticultural holes - tree planting, treasure recovery .

beaniesteve · 13/11/2007 17:18

just to keep you up to date ...

Got my period this morning - A Tuesday! Seems it's always a tuesday. Very long cycle but I'm not depressed about it, this is my first month trying and I'm sure it will happen for me

coolkat · 13/11/2007 19:07

Oh no everyone seems to be getting AF - so sorry ladies. X

Well still no AF here although not got a BFP either (tested again using a Tesco one)

As I said earlier in the month was not sure when she is due but I know roughly and she should have been here by now.

Keep feeling like got tummy ache but then nothing comes.

sarahnh · 13/11/2007 19:32

Hi sarahnh me and DH keep trying to work it out, AF flow arrived we think about the 7th ish (we know it was after dd's birthday) I did vow to take more care and record better next month.

Keep hoping for BFP but want it so bad as I am very conscious of the age gap I will have DD just turned 5 and did not have a smooth ride psychologically (sp) all better now but wish I had done it about three years ago.

Wish this cycle would end soon one way or another...

are your cycles normally this long if af started 7th ish that would make you cd40???? any idea on when you may have ovulated?? it has been known for some ladies ( have seen it on here) to get a BFP, 19dpo, so whilst AF stays away, theres is always hope

coolkat · 13/11/2007 20:16

Yes next month we will all need to know if pregnant so we know whether we can eat stilton (course 4 (cheesboard) of christmas dinner!!) and Brie!!! mmm I love cheese ....

Ok very sad - Sorry

[coolkat rushes of to find block of cathedral city!]

Excitable · 13/11/2007 20:53

Bucky my cycles are usually 28 days and I'm on CD 35 and still no sign of my AF!!

This is driving me mad!!! DH is going a bit mad too now. He said, "so what are our options now?" and I said, "Well, I might be pregnant or I might not be pregnant, but it's definitely one of those."

2 BFNs which don't tell me anything at all. I'll be testing again on Saturday if no more signs.

No AF signs and could go for a swim in all the CM I'm producing. I think I'll just have to wait... Drums fingers...

Sorry AF got you BeanieSteve, but as you say, it's early days.

Coolcat I think you'll be a cool mummy whatever the age gap and your little one will have an older sister so will know all the cool music before their friends and be much more fashionable too. I am an only child, but the closest thing I have to a sybling is my uncle who is 8 years older than me and I wouldn't have had it any other way.

oh bugger! sorry to hear of a mass AF swoop over the 2ww thread .

got some more ewcm this evening. but still no sore nips. so not sure if that's because hormones are more balanced and I'm ov'ing OR still not ov'ing.

ScaryHairy · 13/11/2007 22:08

May I wait with you ladies?

I am half way through my 2WW.

My DH is away 4 days each week which kind of limits conception opportunities. We've been sort of trying for a few months although this time I tried to target efforts a bit. My cycle is 36 or 37 days. We had sex on CD 21 and then DH went away again. I took an OPK on CD 22 which was positive for LH surge, so hopefully we had sex 24-48 hours before ovulation.

Now I am imagining all sorts of pregnancy symptoms - backache, strange acne, tingling nips, nausea, possible spotting 4dpo - and they really could be in my head!! I HATE THE WAIT!

Bucky2007 · 13/11/2007 22:31

Hi and welcome scaryhairy. Hope you have a short stay cos you get a BFP . Although obviously if you don't we look forward to having you around.

ScaryHairy · 13/11/2007 22:58

Thanks Bucky. I hope so too (and the same for all of you). I'm glad to have found this thread... even though I'm trying to be relaxed about it I still manage to spend a stupid amount of time wondering if I am pregnant. Oh well, time will tell, and hopefully the wait will go by quickly!

ClairePO · 13/11/2007 23:02

Hello ScaryHairy welcome

Bucky2007 · 14/11/2007 09:30

Morning everyone.

Well I have two symptoms today. I think they are AF symptoms though:

  1. PMT - i.e. I was evil last night and this morning to DP. Snapped at him for everything, according to me this morning he was unable to do ANYTHING properly . Aw and he is the best DP, I am super spoiled. Dropped to the station, picked up from the station, come home to my dinner, tea made on command, lots of kisses and hugs for being a total bitch . Might have to apologise.
  1. The infamous creamy white CM. Which incidentally I had just before AF last month so its not looking good in the Bucky camp once again!

Why is it taking so LONG ?? I just want a baby, millions and billions of people have them, its supposed to be a normal natural thing, WHY CAN'T I HAVE ONE???? .

sarahnh · 14/11/2007 09:31

oh bucky, it will happen!!!!! Your symptoms do sound good so fingers crossed!!! Think happy positive thoughts today and a big hug xxxxxxxxxxx
