I'm with pixie and bucky on this one. I have tried to be good and mostly succeeded. But after 11 cycles of TTC and being a goody two shoes not actually hellping me become preggers, I am lapsing into a "what will be will be, que sera sera" (and other Doris Day tunes!) attitude. Hence moderate consumption of unpasturised cheese (yum - will miss that if I fall PG) and wine.

pixie - DON NOT cancel the girly p*ss up. You need your firneds and some time to let off steam. Go and have fun.

cbcb - good tips. I didn't know that about hot baths, although now you mention it, weren't women advised to have a hot bath and drink gin if they wanted to get rid of a baby before legalisation of abortion ? makes sense, I suppose. I am a shower tye of gal, but I do go swimming a lot and have a sauna afterwards. Oh dear, something else on the banned list

Welcome Scary and LadyHelen.

Still waiting AF [drums fingers impatiently on table] If no AF will test -again- on Saturday.

pixie04 · 14/11/2007 17:48

I think you ladies are right I will stick to the piss up plans I need some time to relax and have fun, I am just so scared of messing my cycles up I mean two 35 day cyles in a row thats pretty good hey.

The BFG and I fit in the bath quiet nicley together I sit on his knee so that I don't drown we used to share a single bed up until a year ago when we finally got a double bed it was acctually quiet comfy we kinda fit like russian dolls IYSWIM. DP is 6ft 7" and I'm 4ft 11" hehehehe

Coolkat no AF that's a good sign hopefully she won't visit you for a few months.

Well...we had this I think AF came around the 7th oct, I was new to the whole planning thing - found mumsnet and became obsessed in a nice way and realised I need to monitor and record things a little better.

Time will tell..... i will either be or

ScaryHairy · 14/11/2007 20:31

Hi Ladyhelen. It sounds like you and me are at the same stage in our wait.

You asked about "rules". I tried for 6 months to conceive my daughter (now 16mo). I started out not drinking (and had cut out caffeine altogether months before) but by the time I conceived was firmly back on the wine. This time around I am having 2 or 3 cups of coffee per day, but no triple shot lattes!! I have cut out booze, but only because my head is manufacturing pregnancy symptoms and I don't really want it (which is a bit wierd really...).

You should just do what feels right. The more relaxed you can be, the better IMO.

ClairePO · 14/11/2007 23:12

evening all - just a quick hello, CD2 so not in tww but I wanted to see how you are all getting on and wish you BFP's

coolkat good luck for testing on Saturday - how long are your cycles normally?

pixie04 · 15/11/2007 08:40

Good Morning ladies, CD3 here, nothin much to tell except I think maybe AF is on her way out but I've still got a good two/three BORING weeks to wait until I hatch an egg.

How is everyone?

digitalgirl · 15/11/2007 09:29

morning all,

pixie nore nights out with the girls is whats called for.
I am out tonight for a friend's leaving do, I think I will get drunk. As my baby-phobic mate says, 'just get pissed, have lots of sex and you'll get pregnant' (yeah right )

I know I'll hate it when I'm on it, but I wanna be on the 2WW!

coolkat you testing this weekend?

sarahnh · 15/11/2007 10:05

CBCB - don't worry, you haven't . It was good advice that doctors will tell you too if you ask.

sarahnh · 15/11/2007 10:51

cbcb, not at all ... i am feeling too positive and in too good a mood today.. my dd slept in her new bed last night all night through for the first time!!! i got no sleep cos i kept worrying she would wake up but i am so proud of her so nothing will put me in a bad mood today!!

OP posts:
digitalgirl · 15/11/2007 10:51

don't be silly cbcb! of course it makes sense to stop smoking and to cut down on binge drinking, drug-taking, excessive caffeine and exercise.

the occasional blowout won't make a difference but if you're partying hard ALL the time and having trouble ttc then it's quite obvious you have to change your lifestyle.

cbcb, firstly highlights are not really a problem if you are ttc or pregnant, aparrently they are better than getting an all over colour, well thats what my hairdresser told me when i was pg the last time...

dd is 2yr 1 month, we were very scared about doing it it but so happy the first night went ok.. fingers crossed for tonight!!

pixie04 · 15/11/2007 11:17

CBCB feeling emotional is definatley a symptom don't feel bad for telling us that stuff like DG says it's only what the DR would tell us.

DG you go and have fun tonight! I'm looking forward to my girly night on Saturday, I think it's about time I let loose.

sarahnh well done! Although I don't have any DC yet I do a lot (three of four nights a week) of childminding at a hotel and I know how hard it is to get kids to sleep in a strange bed.

I get highlights and colour ect every couple/few months I figure I'll ask my stylist once I get my BFP.

Today is a good day so far CD3 so cramping is easing off a bit whihch is a relief. Am I nuts thugh to still want to test this weekend. I feel I've definatley had AF as my boobs are no longer sore and it has been quiet heavey. But... I still want to test... am I nuts?

Morning .

Same symptoms as yesterday...nothing new to report I am afraid. Will be CD29 at the weekend which is 3 days past last months AF and -2 days from the month before. So maybe I should wait until next week to test if TEW doesn't attack me?

Glad everyone is in OK spirits today. CBCB thanks for the info. I lurve getting facts to ponder on.

I find I eat loads during the 2ww too cbcb I think I've put on about 1/2 a stone through the whole ttc business as I'm careful to make sure I eat lots of fruit and veg and its increased my appitite!

GryffinGirl · 15/11/2007 15:13

oh yes, I spend most of the 2WW stuffing my face with carbs . Can't work out whether it is hormones or boredom/frustration

sarahnh · 15/11/2007 15:20

big question.. i am only on CD6 and AF left by yesterday am... today i have loads and i mean loads of ewcm.. can it be way to early to ovulate??? my last two cycles have been 36 days long................

OP posts:
coolkat · 15/11/2007 15:55

Hi Ladies nothing else to report here, keep feeling like got tummy ache been on Pantie watch all day long but nothing!!!

One strange symptom gone of my Dairylea cob at lunch - EW ER!!

Testing again on Sat so keeping fingers crossed.

Clairepo never recalled last two cycles being this long, I suppose this is what is frustrating as only been trying a few months and only came off pill in August so I do not know what is 'normal'.

Looking good for you Bucky, keep my fingers crossed for you.

Speak later off to make tea...
