Hi ladies

I'm 23 and my partner (27) and I are TTC baby #1!

It was our first month trying this month and AF is due 2nd/3rd of March, so far just BFN! My cycle is roughly 26/27 days! But didn't expect to get pregnant first cycle so I'm feeling ok 👌🏼

Anyone else TTC baby no 1 with a similar cycle? 🥰 xx

@Timetobeamummy mines been the same and actually looking back at last month, 2 days before ovulation mine were pretty much the same and getting weird results! So this time last cycle was the same which means I should get my peak tomorrow!

I saw someone else say that they're usually up and down until you're peak and that it's not like a pregnancy test which gradually gets darker! I have attached mine 2 days before ovulation last cycle

@Kty09 good idea!! Any chance he can book a week off when your next supposed to ovulate ? Xx

Hey @taytay2020 I think it’s recommended to use them from the first day after AF the first time you start just so you can get a picture of the full month when it rises, dips, peaks etc. I had a peak on CD9 and I’ve seen a lot of people don’t start testing until CD10 so I’m glad I did it earlier so I could see what was going on. I’m using 2x per day now 8am & 4pm - it’s better to stick to similar times. Deffo recommend femometer for tracking too.
@Genevive123 yes this that will be a good idea in the next couple of months! Keep us updated with how you get on over the next couple days! X

taytay2020 · 14/03/2021 10:53

@kty09 Thanks that sounds like a really good idea! I'll get started this week then (I'm not sure why poas sounds so exciting but it really does!). So far I've been looking at the pics from @genevive123 and @timetobeamummy with bewilderment! :D

@annwen I hope the tww is going ok so far!

DH and I are going to try and dtd every other day this fortnight. We had a good chat recently to get on the same page about it and bring him up to speed on how important fw is and the chances of conceiving each month! We're used to making decisions and acting on them straight away so neither of us want to hang around. I think that has taken the pressure off actually - we both know it's compulsory bd but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy it!

Kty09 · 14/03/2021 12:49

@taytay2020 it is exciting! Try not to get disheartened if they are faint or hardly visible one day as they get strong really quickly and change so much day to day or even within a few hours, I’ve found mine have been much stronger in a morning and lower in the afternoon.
Good luck this month 🤞🏼Sending you baby dust! My chances are a bit limited due to OH working away a lot but you never know.
X

Genevive123 · 14/03/2021 15:43

@Kty09 @Timetobeamummy

Please tell me you guys didn't realise too that you're meant to leave the tests for 5 - 15 minutes 😂 no wonder I haven't had dark ones !! They got darker the longer I left it but chucked them as I didn't think relevant 😂😂

Hello ladies ❤️ I hope you are all well? I took a bit of break from here whilst I got my head in a better place. We are still trying this month, now using conceive plus lube and my partner taking macca root as well. I take seven seas too. We are not doing opks or temp. Just going with my normal cycle... less pressure and bulking DTD around one week.
We have now officially been referred- just waiting for a phone call to book the initial appointment. I'm anxious but pleased things are moving forward. Any ideas what to expect at the first appointment? Xxx

taytay2020 · 14/03/2021 18:19

Hi @laura2093 and welcome! It sounds like you've had a difficult journey so far, I hope your referral gives you answers. I think most people in this thread are quite new to ttc. I'm on cycle 2, how about you?

Genevive123 · 14/03/2021 18:21

@laura2093 Hi Laura !! Hope you're well lovely! I'm not too sure I'm afraid, same as @taytay2020 I'm also only on cycle 2! But we're all here for you.

I'm glad it's moving forward for you now, this is your year!! Xx

I have been off the pill since April 2020, so cycle 11 this month! Crazy!
Our doctor has been totally lovely as Ttc has REALLY affected my mental health. I have had all my tests and so far they are all clear. My OH has had his SA which came back fine apart from the sperm morphology - 3 (shape of the sperm isn't great!)
He has to retest in 2 months now. But it could've just been a bad batch. The doctor said we could still conceive naturally but it will take longer. Just want to see what options we have as we are desperate to start our family

I am 28 he is 27.
Xxx

Genevive123 · 14/03/2021 19:02

Ladies my OPK going up now! Thank goodness thinking my peak will be tomorrow which means I will only be ovulating a day late! So still within a "regular" cycle!!

@laura2093 I've got everything crossed for you! Baby dust your way for sure ✨ hoping we can help you on your journey! What vitamins have you been on hun? You've probably tried it but I've read the other day on here someone struggling for a while and then starting vitamin d and conceiving straight away??

Woop @Genevive123 that’s a good OPK result!
Get some BD in! Are you DTD every other day or more around peak?

Sending you lots of good luck and baby dust @laura2093 🥰 xxx

Genevive123 · 14/03/2021 19:14

@Kty09 yes we're nearly there now!! Still not quite there but it's gone up from 30% at 5pm so think it could even happen tonight going up quickly!!

DTD more around peak! But will definitely get it in tonight ! Got the dogs snuffle mat at the ready 😂 how are you doing now in the TWW? Xx

OP posts:
Kty09 · 14/03/2021 19:22

@Genevive123 yes maybe by the morning it’ll be your peak result? I got mine about 7:30am then by evening went down! Attached a pic! Haha oh gosh entertaining the dog is a must 😂

Tbh I’m 99% sure this isn’t the month now, we’d be very lucky to get caught within that time frame - we only managed to BD about 36 hours after peak so I’m already looking towards next cycle and assuming I’m out. Quite nice because i feel relaxed about it! I won’t be doing a test unless I’m late of course xx

Genevive123 · 14/03/2021 19:54

@Kty09 yes I think you're right ! Morning sex it is 😂 it's weird isn't it - I feel like it's not going to be my cycle either this month you know when you just have a feeling?

Ooh nice strong line there on your peak!! Yeah I won't be poas unless I'm late either I can't do it to myself I caved last cycle and made me feel rubbish!!

Marshmallow190 · 14/03/2021 20:06

Hi everyone. We are also trying for baby #1. I’m not quite down with the mumsnet lingo yet! I’m a due my AF in 5 days. I am avoiding testing as I’ve had negatives the last 2 months and it is really getting to me... especially today! @Genevive123 you sound just like me with the dog snuffle mat 😂 fingers crossed we get a BFP this month! I am using OPK & folic acid with vit D but haven’t tried the temperature thing yet. Xx

Genevive123 · 14/03/2021 20:26

@Marshmallow190 Hello lovely!! How are you feeling ?? Haha it's the only way we'll be able to DTD as last cycle he was a nightmare 😂😂 you're doing the exact same things as me ! I'm also not currently tracking temperature xx

OP posts:
Marshmallow190 · 14/03/2021 20:43

@Genevive123 I’m feeling normal I think. I convinced my self the last two times I was definitely pregnant and my last period was 2 days late which really threw me but it came in the end. Need to stay positive as this is only our third cycle but my mind plays tricks on me. Trying to not over think it this month. It’s nice to have people in a similar position to speak with ❤️❤️ Xx

Genevive123 · 14/03/2021 20:57

@Kty09 the peak has started !! Yay honestly so relieved was so worried 😂

@Marshmallow190 ahh bless you hun yes horrible isn't it if you convince yourself and then AF doesn't turn up! It's definitely because your stressed and putting pressure on your body!! I was stressed this month due to our house purchase falling through, so think that's why I've ovulated a day/ 2 days late! 3rd time lucky right? ✨✨✨ xxx

@Genevive123 glad your peak has arrived! Go get the snuffle mat 😂. Oh I know that’s why I’m trying to chill this month. 3rd time lucky 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Will check back in with you all in a few days. Happy DTD 😂 xx

Kty09 · 14/03/2021 21:03

@Genevive123 yes chuffed for you!! So this means tomorrow could be OD?

Can’t wait to start seeing some BFPs on this chat 🤞🏼

Genevive123 · 14/03/2021 22:07

@Marshmallow190 haha thank you lovely!! Out and ready 😂😂

@Kty09 I would think so woohooo! Honestly need to try and chill a bit as it was really stressing me out and it definitely delays it more 😂 xx

Hi ladies, not been on here for a couple of days, how are we all doing? That's af done now so excited to start bd, think we are just going to do it as much as possible this month and hope for the best 🤞🏻

Genevive123 · 14/03/2021 22:13

@lisamxxx all good for me thank you! Ooh great news, always exciting to finish AF and get started again!! When are you due to ovulate this month?

OP posts:
Timetobeamummy · 14/03/2021 22:13

@Genevive123 well yours is moving quicker than mine is! It’s like I’m stuck in the mud 🤣Although I currently have ovulation pains on my right side so fingers crossed peak is on its way. I couldn’t hold a wee long enough today to test multiple times. However OH has just been told he is on a course Tuesday and Wednesday so will be home wooohoo!

@Marshmallow190 welcome. I’m only on cycle 2 as well so all very new although I was convinced I was pregnant last month as AF was 6 days late and I had symptoms but it was all just messing with me. So I’m going to try not to look into all the ‘signs’ this month.

Timetobeamummy · 14/03/2021 22:15

@lisamxxx Glad AF has gone back in the game as they say! AF is usually the only time of the month I feel relaxed because it requires no testing or stressing! This is your cycle 💪🏻 BFPs fingers crossed 🤞🏻
