Hi ladies

I'm 23 and my partner (27) and I are TTC baby #1!

It was our first month trying this month and AF is due 2nd/3rd of March, so far just BFN! My cycle is roughly 26/27 days! But didn't expect to get pregnant first cycle so I'm feeling ok 👌🏼

Anyone else TTC baby no 1 with a similar cycle? 🥰 xx

@xoJellyBean I think I've started having problems with my luteal phase too. My usually spot on 28 day cycles have been 25 days last month and this month ugh!

@Kty09 oh gosh I'll read into that more! I read it's good for absorption of iron and lately I've been having terrible fatigue so was also thinking along the lines of immune system but deffo don't wanna mess up cm

Mrskcam · 16/03/2021 20:12

@xoJellyBean "Vitamin C. Research has shown that women who take vitamin C have significantly increased levels of progesterone in their systems, in fact, women who took 750mg of vitamin C per day had an increase of 77%"

google vitamin c for progesterone! Might help x

xoJellyBean · 16/03/2021 20:42

@Mrskcam perfect thankyou!! It's in my pregnacare ones and I'll also take another vit c one for good measure :) my temp just doesn't rise well 🤨 have you tried soy isoflavones? I think they can be used to lengthen your luteal phase x

Mrskcam · 16/03/2021 20:50

@xoJellyBean I haven't really tried anything for it yet as last cycle I thought it was a one off and I'm currently on day 2 of af so this cycle also being short has just made me think about it. I read an increase in progesterone can help it so hopefully the vitamin c might help and if not I will try the next thing

lisamxxx · 16/03/2021 21:19

@Neom87 I've heard that too but about the pregnacare ones making cycles longer but my cycle ended a couple of days earlier than expected. I'll see how I am this month with them but so far so good not had any side effects or anything.

Timetobeamummy · 16/03/2021 22:20

@Mrskcam I take Vitamin C along with Folic acid and Vitamin D.

Cycles changing when TTC is so frustrating I used to have spot on 31 day cycles. Last cycle was 37 days. However had peak tonight well it might peak further 🤞🏻 So looks like I can expect a 33 day cycle this time.

Saw a few comments about ovulation tests I use easy at home and the Premom app. Seems all good so far although it got my ovulation prediction wrong by 5 days will probably improve as more data is inputted.
@Annwen I am 2 days behind you at 4DPO, although I don’t have much hope this month we only managed to catch the actual ovulation day as my other half was working away! It makes it a bit more stressful but I’m sure the right time will come.
I have read a lot about one of the main symptoms being a change in your boobs, dark nipples etc so keep an eye! Are you going to test next week or wait to see what happens?
I think it is fine to carry on having as much sex as you want and probably good for the happy hormones in your body!! X
As well as my nipples tingling, my boobs felt really heavy this morning. Neither I nor DP have noticed any darkening, but there's definitely something going on there. Vagina still feels odd as well - but maybe just overworked this month Blush
And, yes, think I will test next week. X

Catmumsoph92 · 17/03/2021 13:35

Hi ladies, I thought I would jump on here for some opinions. I normally have a 27 day cycle, ovulating on day 13. This month, I apparently ovulated on day 12 so only a day early but my app has estimated that AF is due today (day 25) so I'm just wondering whether earlier ovulation means that your cycle is shorter and I'm therefore late? I did a test yesterday which was obviously negative.

taytay2020 · 17/03/2021 13:52

@catmumsoph92 I wouldn't necessarily trust your app to predict when af is due, although it might be more accurate if you're putting loads of data like opks and temps into it. If you're only on 13dpo you're not necessarily late, I'm sure a day or two fluctuation is pretty normal (and the average length of luteal phase is 12-14 days I think?). I knowwww it's really tempting to believe you're late and for a really good reason, and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, but it could be nothing too x

Catmumsoph92 · 17/03/2021 13:59

@taytay2020 thank you for your response. I thought that might the case. It would be odd because I'm usually so regular at 27 days. We will see - either way I should know by the weekend!

taytay2020 · 17/03/2021 14:43

@catmumsoph92 definitely! Could go either way! 🤞

Kty09 · 17/03/2021 17:06

Hey @Catmumsoph92 I had a 26 day cycle last month (only 1st proper cycle since implant) and apparently ovulated on day 10. I have two apps, one says I’m due on next Friday (meaning a 24 day cycle this month) one says a week on Tuesday (meaning 27 day cycle this month) - I put in my ovulation on both so who knows haha 🤷‍♀️ Hope it’s good news for you 🤞🏼

Babyboom93 · 17/03/2021 17:28

Looking for advice! TTC baby #1 so this is all new to me!
On CD 15 (AM) I got my peak
DTD lots the week before through to CD18 to make sure I covered all possible chances.
On CD 22 I had some light pink spotting when I wiped. On CD23 I had a bit more light pink when wiped. This has now finished. I've had cramping very bad for the 48 hours I was spotting, headaches throughout and started feeling constipated the last few days. Today is CD25, decided to do a FRER this morning as AF due Monday which makes it 6 days before my period. Got a BFN! I also did an IC just now and got a BFN. I should be around 9/10dpo looking at the dates here and thought I would of got a BFP on a FRER this morning!! has anyone had late positives before ?? X

xoJellyBean · 17/03/2021 21:26

Finallyyyyyy got my peak OPK!!

taytay2020 · 18/03/2021 09:03

Hi @babyboom93! I think you probably tested too early - according to frer they're only 62% accurate when you test 5 days before your period (i.e. 6 days before your 'missed period'). A day or two can make a big difference in hcg levels, so I'd test again at the weekend to be sure. Good luck!

Neom87 · 18/03/2021 11:00

7DPO and symptom spotting! Hmm Felt nauseus this morning, body generally feels a bit battered and achy, snuffly nose, mild achy period type pains in lower back, and bad dreams!

Congrats on getting your peak @xoJellyBean, when I got mine I finally felt like I was getting somewhere!

Kty09 · 18/03/2021 13:08

@Neom87 I’m 6DPO and I don’t even think we caught the right timings but I’m still the same 😂 I feel a bit nauseous today and I also keep having a bit of a painful feeling in my boobs. It’s torture I didn’t recognise any of these symptoms when not TTC 😂

xoJellyBean · 18/03/2021 13:44

@Neom87 when will you test!? 🤞🏻 I'm buzzing I got my peak but just waiting for my temps to confirm it all happened 🙈

Neom87 · 18/03/2021 15:08

@kty09, I'm the same! Keep poking my boobs to see if they hurt!! Haha!! Told my OH, and he's like is that a sign, I said yeah but also could just be total coincidence!! @xoJellyBean, I don't remember so hopefully I did actually ovulate!

I think I'm just going to wait it out, ideally until 26th!! I know that's ages off but that's when app predicts my period!

Kty09 · 18/03/2021 17:23

@Neom87 such an awful wait isn’t it 🙈 well I’m not very hopeful for this cycle I actual feel like I do before AF arrives today which is odd really bloated!

How’s everyone doing? Are you going out of your mind already @Genevive123 🙈

I’ve bought pre-seed for the next cycle and heard some good things! Has anyone used it before??

Timetobeamummy · 18/03/2021 18:14

1DPO here’s to the next 13 days going crazy! 🤣

taytay2020 · 18/03/2021 18:53

I did another one step opk today and also used the CB digital for the first time. Both absolutely negative. Guess I've got a bit of a wait yet!

What day of your cycle do you guys normally start seeing an increase in LH? I'm so interested to find out what's going on in my body this month but I'm also really really impatient for it to just get on with it! :D

Sending babydust and patience to all you TWWaiters!

Kty09 · 18/03/2021 19:11

@taytay2020 I believe the first time you use the CB in your cycle will always be just the O as it kinda sets as a starting point!
What CD are you now? Everyone is soo different I believe the most common is around CD 12-16. I must have ovulated early this month as I surprisingly got a peak on CD9 X

Genevive123 · 18/03/2021 19:42

@Timetobeamummy I feel the same I'm 2dpo now and time is going so slowly! Haha I definitely don't feel positive this month!! I've already ordered my OPKs for next cycle, which has got me excited as I'm meant to be ovulating on my birthday which is Mega exciting! Also the OPKs cam in really nice packaging this time !!

@Kty09 how are you feeling ?? X
