Hi ladies anyone want to join me in a thread to chat about ttc this month? I’m currently on CD2.
A bit about me.

I’m 28 and TTC baby number 1. We’ve been trying for a year and a half now, I had 4 recurrent miscarriages in 2020 so hoping the next will stick. I’ve been given new medication to try next time.

@BWaiting oh I know, it’s hard to to let your mind wonder... very little twinge or cramp I start to wonder! I’m going to try really hard this month to just stay relaxed about it.

I think Bridgerton is suppose to be quite good, which I may start. Other than that I’ve been watching true crime documentaries at the moment... lol. What kind of programmes do you like and I can let you know what I’ve seen recently that is good, to pass the time xx

BWaiting · 11/02/2021 20:52

@CeeJay1987 I would recommend watching Bridgerton in FW! Haha
I watched the crown, and loved that.
I like British crime but I haven't found anything to get stuck into recently.
I don't have time to binge watch anything, I'm a one episode a night person. But if I did have the time to binge the TWW wouldn't seem so bad I don't think! xx

CeeJay1987 · 11/02/2021 20:52

Is anyone doing SMEP? I tried it this cycle but missed one day (the last one of the third consecutive day). Has this worked did anyone in the past?

CeeJay1987 · 11/02/2021 20:57

@BWaiting haha I’ve heard that about Bridgerton before 😂

I still need to finish the Crown.... I’m on the last season now, but keep forgetting to finish it.

If you like British Crime, have you seen the BBC drama, the Bodyguard? That was a good watch!

I’ve been good today and not googled any symptoms. I know it’s too early anyway, but I wonder with every slight cramp I get, which I’ve been getting slightly today xx

BWaiting · 11/02/2021 21:04

@CeeJay1987 I haven't seen bodyguard but it is on my list. Maybe I'll start that next. Thanks!

I don't tend to google symptoms because with my other pregnancies I had no symptoms till week 4/5 so anything now I think for 5 minutes it's a pregnancy symptom, drive myself mad and then come to the conclusion that it's probably something I've eaten that's giving me a bloated tummy, cramps or twinges.
I am honestly scared of google sometimes, I diagnose myself with some crazy things!!

Have you been feeling anything today? xx

CycloGoose · 11/02/2021 21:12

Hi ladies, hoping not too late to join in!
Really interesting to read everyone's stories and I so feel for everyone who has suffered losses. Really hopeful for everyone and lovely to see some bfps already, too!

I turned 34 in December. We're TTC #1 and are on cycle number 6. I've been using cheapy opks and have done a bit of bbt tracking but hubby seems to prefer mornings for DTD and having to take temperature kind of gets in the way!

I used CB purple first time this month too and also went straight from blank to static. It's funny it's happened to quite a few of us!

I'm 8dpo and AF due on 17th. Anyone with me?

Feeling a bit up and down... I feel hubby realised bit wasn't going to happen by magic this month and coverage was the best so far but also don't want to get hopes up too much!

I'm a teacher so been pretty full on busy to now but next few days will be killer with valentine's and half term trying not to symptom spot or test early. At least I can have a half term glass of wine if I get AF.

Every time I read a symptom, I get it haha. I clearly have a very vivid imagination! My cm does seem different this time though and surely I can't mentally create that!?

Good luck and hefty fistfuls of baby dust all round.

This is what my app suggests next month so think we will do this!xx

Also 34! What have you been doing up to now?
CycloGoose · 11/02/2021 22:44

@lucea87

Hahaha. I'm hopefully reading that as TTC wise rather than with my life until TTC 😜 Think I'm going a bit crazy this month.
We had a delayed and reduced honeymoon camping in France for our anniversary this summer and decided we should start trying.
I take loads of supplements and trying ubiquinol as I'm worried my lining might not be great...
I've been tracking using OPKs from the start and I did a bit of temping. I wanted to know I actually was ovulating after the pill for so long.
Husband has been struggling with stress of work and our timing hasn't been great - he'll be giddy when I'm not in the FW but we've DTD at least once in the FW every month this far. This month we both tried extra and managed 3 times so really would be great to be rewarded with bfp!
How about you? How long have you been trying? Judging from your username, our birthdays must be quite close together since we're only just into Feb of this year 🙂

It was my birthday on Tuesday! This was our first cycle. I was certain AF was coming today but it has not happened yet..cross your fingers girls!

My OH has maintained he will never be excited, only terrified Envy however the change in him the last few weeks has been amazing to me and I know how excited he will actually be when we have our first scan. Just got to prey we get there eventually.

We were probably a bit slack last cycle but next cycle we are going to be on it to a T!

kaylsd · 12/02/2021 07:51
@kaylsd hahaha I'm sorry I'm laughing so much sorry, do you eat pasta? My sister has a massive issue with it because of the texture.
I've heard pineapple for inducing labour but not inducing pregnancy 😂
But I would try anything tbh!!
That's really good you're getting walks in, I get so lazy sometimes, the gym is my getaway from life and I'm impatiently waiting for them to open again! xx
Don't worry about laughing im a right nightmare when it comes to food and I don't like pasta for the texture I can just about eat a pot noodle but even then it can be touch and go 😂 I'm hoping things start to open up again, my roots look horrendous 🙄🙄🙄 tempted to do a box dye but knowing me it'll go green or fall out! X

We've done smep for the first time this month! We were tired come the end of it as we aren't normally ones to do the DTD 3 times in a row but it's been the first time looking back on my cycles that we've covered the most important days before & on and after so feeling positive this month 🤞🏻❤️

Welcome sweetheart! I'm also on cycle 6 so I can join you with that one ❤️ It's so hard not to get hopes up and symptom spotting but hopefully this thread can take your mind off it, or if it doesn't it proves that your not the only one and your not on your own as we all do it and been there 😘
CeeJay1987 · 12/02/2021 08:36

@BWaiting yesterday afternoon and this morning I do have the uncomfortable feeling when AF is due, but it’s too early for that yet. However I did feel like that last month around the same time so it’s probably normal but I’ve never noticed it before ttc xx

CeeJay1987 · 12/02/2021 08:37

@lucea87 good luck! I have read quite a lot of success stories with it! xx

CeeJay1987 · 12/02/2021 08:40

Fingers and toes crossed for you!!!😊❤️ We tried it this month, but we both missed the third consecutive day due to tiredness. But will try again should we not be lucky this month! xx

CycloGoose · 12/02/2021 09:24

Happy birthday and a late AF is super exciting! Fingers crossed for us all ☺️

BWaiting · 12/02/2021 09:43

@kaylsd tell me about it, I'm getting a bit sick of cooking now. Haven't actually had a nice meal out in about a year and I miss it so much.
I think it's only another few weeks till things start opening again, I'm sure you're rocking the roots!
So I have a bit of a sore eye this morning, surely this must be a symptom right?! Haha

CycloGoose · 12/02/2021 09:49

@kaylsd

Yes it's so helpful to have a support network. None of my friends are trying and I don't want to talk to family because they're too close to the outcome and will make me more crazy.

Cycle 6 felt like something of a milestone but I'm not out yet! Still in it until AF!

I don't think I can get hubby to do smep but coverage was definitely better this month.

Fingers crossed for you too 🙂

lucea87 · 12/02/2021 10:09

@CycloGoose thanks for the bday wishes!

I'm the same in terms of people to talk to, literally don't want to speak to anyone else about it as it just adds to the pressure. Cramps and heavy feeling again here today so maybe AF will arrive. Desperately trying not to symptom spot but I feel a bit sick/dizzy today too. I would normally get achy boobs a few days before I'm due on but not had that, did have sore nipples over the weekend though which is what I'm clinging onto as possibly really late ovulation.

CycloGoose · 12/02/2021 10:42

@lucea87

Everything is a symptom for me at the moment haha. I have some little spots on my face, could be a symptom? Oh my. I need to get on with daily life!

Hope AF keeps away and you get your mini miracle this month. What a lovely birthday/valentine's gift that would be!

Trying to stay positive and think no AF means not out!

MIL keeps asking us if we're drinking 'because it's not healthy if you're trying to have a baby'. We have told her nothing. She is just nosey as anything. Proper curtain twitcher. 🙄😂

I read up on drinking, you can basically drink until you get your BFP because until there's proper implantation there's no connection so there wouldn't be any issues....!

Another symptom spot, our dog has been cuddling right up to me the past few days, way more than normal. He's teething so probably just feeling sorry for himself but obviously googling 'how early can dogs sense pregnancy' 😂😂

Absolutely sounds like we've got a similar MIL - mine is that intrusive about the situation she already has stuffed bought ready just because my BIL partner is pregnant so she's buying two of everything.... no pressure like 🙄😳

kaylsd · 12/02/2021 12:37

@CycloGoose I felt a little bit deflated when we reached 6 month, but they say on research it can take between 6-12 month both parties being healthy 🤞🏻❤️

@BWaiting yep the eye has got to be a symptom, all interlinked in the end right? ;) I know how your feeling about the cooking thing, aren't you fed up of the conversation every day what are we having for tea/dinner? I'd do anything for us to be able to just say bugger it shall we go out for food 😫 seems a distant memory! I was last out for food in November for a meal to celebrate our lockdown wedding at
Miller and Carter! The staff looked so sad and deflated as it was the last day before everything shut down again :(
