Hi ladies anyone want to join me in a thread to chat about ttc this month? I’m currently on CD2.
A bit about me.

I’m 28 and TTC baby number 1. We’ve been trying for a year and a half now, I had 4 recurrent miscarriages in 2020 so hoping the next will stick. I’ve been given new medication to try next time.
@kaylsd sounds like you've been on a crazy journey with TTC. Congratulations on your wedding Thanks
I also had covid, but that was back in April 2020 and I was wiped out for about 12 weeks on and off. Thankfully we weren't TTC because it just never would have happened. Im glad you had a quick recovery Smile
I'm hoping the convenience plus has helped things get to the places they need to be! I'm worried though as we didn't DTD the two days before O. If it doesn't work this month then I think I will try the SMEP method.
I know this sounds weird but it'll be nice to have someone to test with if AF doesn't arrive before the 23rd.
Also yes, I love a light hearted watch!! Married at first sight is on my list but I just don't know when to fit it in atm! x
Fingers and toes crossed for the conceive plus! I've seen a few people on here use it and had really good success rate! Do you take prenatals too? With your little one have you been home schooling I take my hat off to people with little ones at the moment with how much life has been thrown upside down.. have you found similar situation to me that nearly everyone surrounding you is on a covid baby lockdown boom? my lovely inlaws 🙄 have been hinting pressures towards us as my hub brother is also expecting with his partner, I just find that talking to my hub about trying to keep all that chat at bay is the best way forward for us as we are still trying to make it a fun process than a structured way forward, as much as I'm still controlling the ovulation signs I try not to make it too obvious for more pressure of my hub to perform 🙈 saying that though I keep saying to myself with all the mums to be can I sit on seats where they've been sat to see if I can get some good luck 😂😂😂 (I'm a nurse and on the wards we normally avoid certain chairs if there's a pregnancy book within the teams) X

@kaylsd I have only been taking folic acid. I also have just found out I have an underactive thyroid so I'm a week into that medication. The doctor said it was slightly low so because I'm TTC she will put me on the meds. Hoping that isn't affecting anything. I've also had 3MC. One before my son and two after so I'm just very aware of that too. But with all of those i conceived straight away, none of this OPK and tracking!! I'm a crazy woman now! Last mc was about 2 years ago.
The first lockdown I was homeschooling and working and it was really tough as my husband is a key worker so he wasn't home till 8pm. This time around I've managed to get him a place in school so I can focus on work and keep my job! I count myself very lucky as I know there are so many parents struggling.
Haha no pressure then!! I bet you get all of those comments that you really really don't want to hear!
My son is 9 and extended family always have something to say about me not having another.
I'm also trying not to make it obvious to my husband that I'm in FW but considering pre TTC I was never the one to initiate DTD....it's pretty obvious now and I do feel like I'm putting pressure on him to perform. We've been married 13 years so not exactly at it all the time.
I hope you've been sitting on the right seats!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 xx

Dyinghouseplant · 11/02/2021 12:02

Welcome darling! Fingers crossed this new cycle is yours! Have you thought of trying anything different with this new cycle :')? X
I don't think so. First month I didn't track O, second month I did so I think I'll just try that again. Isn't it weird when you spend years trying to avoid pregnancy, you almost assume it'll be easy when you start trying!

Fifi1086 · 11/02/2021 12:35

Hey everyone! I'm on day 9 of flashing smileys to the point it's actually hilarious. From my bbt chart I'm thinking I might have actually ovulated on cd 10 and my lh strips are getting weaker as the days go on so I either ovulated early or am not going to. AF due on 25th 🙄

Don't get me started on it, my hub said to me other day why isit at school it's planted in your head soon as you have unprotected sex you'll get someone pregnant and then for us it's like tumble weed across some days waiting for it to happen😂😂😂😂! I'm actually considering to always use natural cycle tracking forever than considering going back onto contraception 🤔 Fingers crossed it's a successful month for us all xx

I was taking just folic acid before hand then i read good reviews on preg care for him and her? I take that daily now as it contains folic acid within it but my hubs isn’t convince to take his because he said it tastes like gravy? Hahahah 😂🙈 he’s a funny dud sometimes!

Maybe with you having treatment for your thyroid it might set everything at a good equal balance for your optimum TTC 🤞🏻❤️ I’m sorry to hear about your previous MCs, I can’t imagine how it must have felt but my heart goes out to you - sending hugs, the TTC journey is such a rollercoaster of emotions both mentally and physically for a couple to go through 🥺

I’m happy to hear you managed to get a place, my mum works in a primary school and she’s finding that as the days past by more and more children are returning back as at one point the school closed for key workers as even the key workers were not sending their children in.. hoping things will only get better in terms of everyday life for us all!

It’s hard about the pressure thing because I was similar to you in a way I never used to initiate things but now a certain time frame every month he’s like 👀 what’s going on like 😂 but as the months go by he’s seeing the pattern and clicking on that it’s FW without evening mentioning anything!

Welcome darling to the group, in terms of your flashing faces is it normal for you to have consecutive days of them then a peak or just have an increase of LH but not quite positive then negative? Because even if you might not have a full positive OPK doesn't necessarily mean that you haven't ovulated, as you've said you may have ovulated based on your BBT fingers and toes crossed it's that way! I had an anovulatory cycle in December, was horrible as I've never had one before I didn't know whether I was coming or going and used that many pregnancy tests 🙈 hopefully it isn't the case for you! X
Fifi1086 · 11/02/2021 13:08

@kaylsd thank you! This is my second cycle since coming off the pill. I actually had 3 LH surges last month so I don't know when I ovulated, but it ended in a chemical loss so I know that I did. I don't know what's normal for me yet unfortunately but I felt like I was ovulating the night of cd10 as I'd cramps like I always did. I'm totally the same as you I don't think I'll ever go back to hormonal contraceptives again after this. One thing though is I'm so so tired the last two evenings I've fallen asleep on the sofa which I never do. I'm still fully expecting AF to arrive on 25th and if I haven't already ovulated on cd10 I don't think I will be this month 😕

CeeJay1987 · 11/02/2021 13:58

Hi everyone, I hope you don’t mind me joining you all 😊

I could use the friendly chatter and support as I find myself constantly on google and work myself up about it all.

I’m 33 and ttc for the first time, cycle #2. My cycle is 25 days and I’m currently 3dpo in the 2 week wait!

Will be good to chat to you all to pass the time so I don’t get anxious!!

Dyinghouseplant · 11/02/2021 14:02

@Fifi1086 falling asleep on the sofa was my first symptom in my first pregnancy! Couldn't keep my eyes open. Fingers crossed for you.

BWaiting · 11/02/2021 14:11

@kaylsd I have thought about preg care but some women have said it alters their cycle length so I've stayed away, not sure if it's true or not?
My husband is on wellman for conception (or whatever it's called) he scowls at me every morning when taking it because apparently it tastes like soil!!?? Haha can you imagine if they had to go through half of what we do!

BWaiting · 11/02/2021 14:15

Hi @CeeJay1987 I'm also 33, and 3dpo and cycle #2 for baby #2 (3 MC so i was very hesitant to try again, but here we are and boy am I impatient!!) AF is due on 23rd for me.

Any plans to help keep you busy in the TWW? xx

CeeJay1987 · 11/02/2021 14:35

Hi @BWaiting 👋🏼 Oh wow we are very similar with our timings, and so sorry to hear of your 3MC, hopefully this is the month for us all! 😊

My AF is due 21st. I’m trying to stay patient this month and just wait and not tracking any symptoms, letting nature take its course. Keeping busing with walks and binging Netflix! Haha and now this group 😊

What are you doing to keep busy? xx

kaylsd · 11/02/2021 15:20

Welcome hunny! Google is the worst! I swear down in the past I've been about 2016 deep on mum net reading 7 dpo symptom thread like an absolute nutter! We've all been there sweet! Just got to set yourself tasks to do to keep busy, mines working & binge watching light hearted series like married in first site Australia 🥰❤️ how do you plan on keeping busy in the TWW? Xxx

I'm unsure sweet if it's affected me but so far since starting them I've had a 33 day cycle and a 34 which is about my normal! Haha I think I'll take gravy taste complaints over soil any day! Have you made your hub change his diet or lifestyle habits? Me and mine were too laid back with that side of things as in lockdown life all we have to enjoy is good food 🐷😂 maybe it's something I might think of in the future if things still don't work out..

BWaiting · 11/02/2021 16:21

@CeeJay1987 at the moment I'm feeling the same as you, just going to let whatever happens happen and not think too much into any symptoms, saying that, I've just got back from a walk and fell a little queasy, it was obviously because I had a heavier than normal lunch! But of course I started to think!
To keep me busy, lots of walks, it's half term next week and I'm working as well as having my son home from school so hopefully it'll be a busy week! Any recommendations on what to watch? I'm struggling to get into anything gripping at the moment. xx

lucea87 · 11/02/2021 16:23

Hello! Hope you don't mind me joining? I'm currently CD37 normally have 33-35 day cycles. Stated on clear blue digital ovulation tests CD13 and on CD19 got my first flashy. Then I got flashys for the dreaded 9 days. I did 2 of the tests later in the day but never got a solid smiley so not sure if I missed ovulation because of that or if I didn't ovulate. Kinda hoping I actually just ovulated really late but I feel like AF is on the way. If I've no AF by Monday I'm going to test on Tuesday.

Baby number 1 for us and it's a year later than we had intended but Covid caused 2 redundancies for my partner so we decided to wait a little. I've just turned 34 & he is 36 Smile

CeeJay1987 · 11/02/2021 16:30

@kaylsd thank you! Oh my goodness I’ve been doing this haha... I’ve now banned myself from searching on google! Lol

I too plan to watch light hearted tv to pass the time and I’m glad I’ve stumbled across this thread! 😊

BWaiting · 11/02/2021 16:34

@kaylsd we are quite laid back too. As far as meals go, we both eat a good diet, he's a runs a lot and I'm a weights/gym go'er so we eat well to maintain that. he snacks on healthy things such as nuts and seeds so I haven't really made him change anything. As for me....I can't live without my coffee in the morning so I've switched that to a decaf. snacks/chocolate...I'm still working on cutting that down but if I'm honest, I don't see that happening! I'm a really bad snacker and the lbs are starting to pile on a little bit now too!
I read on a thread on here about eating certain things like nuts and seeds at certain points in your cycle to help, have you heard of this before? x

Welcome darling and here's to your TTC journey! Last year was a horrendous year for many so I can't imagine what you guys felt with the stress and the upset with redundancy! Let's hope this year is going onto bigger and better things for many including manifesting a beautiful TTC❤️🤞🏻 🤰 just using this post for me to be preoccupied in the TWW, normally drive myself mad with symptom spotting and dr Google but I'm trying to convince myself I'll be a changed woman this month 😂

I'm so glad I'm not the only one 😂😂😂😂 the worst thread I stumbled across was that old the links to their HPT tests or asking about OPK were no longer valid, I swear when it's like that I've ventured too far into the threads 😂🙈

Here's to passing time with TWW 🌈🤞🏻

I've seen before people on about varies seeds and even the use of pineapple during the TWW? I've even read into people having the seeds n various other things with like an shake to have each day? I don't do textures very well so the thought of a shake with bits in it might make me gag, I can't even eat soggy weetabix without gipping or shovelling it down in 3 seconds before it gets too soft 😂🙈 it's nice to hear you and your hubs are doing the right things with a balance diet and exercise, since this last stent of lockdown number 3 I've lost all motivation to push myself to exercise, the only
ones I get is when I'm walking within my work or dog walk! X

lucea87 · 11/02/2021 19:21

@kaylsd honestly today I've been Googling 'can implantation happen at 5dpo' lol

Thanks for such a lovely welcome Smile

We've all been there girl! For me it's normally like 7 dpo then I get like Ooooooo cramps is that baby is that AF 😂 quick best put cramps at 7dp leading to BFP in google 😂🙈🙄 I don't know how I do it to myself each time

BWaiting · 11/02/2021 20:05

@kaylsd hahaha I'm sorry I'm laughing so much sorry, do you eat pasta? My sister has a massive issue with it because of the texture.
I've heard pineapple for inducing labour but not inducing pregnancy 😂
But I would try anything tbh!!
That's really good you're getting walks in, I get so lazy sometimes, the gym is my getaway from life and I'm impatiently waiting for them to open again! xx
