Hi ladies anyone want to join me in a thread to chat about ttc this month? I’m currently on CD2.
A bit about me.

I’m 28 and TTC baby number 1. We’ve been trying for a year and a half now, I had 4 recurrent miscarriages in 2020 so hoping the next will stick. I’ve been given new medication to try next time.

CD18 and I just got the static smiley on CB. Kinda nice as I didn't get that last month....!! I'll do a couple of femometers later. We both fell asleep last night so need to make sure we get cracking tonight and probably tomorrow night too so that we don't miss it!!!

@CycloGoose I would hang on as long as you possibly can. Try and keep occupied as best you can xxxx

kaylsd · 08/03/2021 08:31

@CycloGoose

Sorry you had a horrendous day *@kaylsd* we've been doing DIY all day and then cooked up a big batch of pasta for us and our neighbour. We're really worried about him bless him. Opened up to us about anxiety etc. It's been a long year for him.

No way I could keep it a secret that long @KatieLooLa Brilliant if you can!

I just don't want to get my hopes up. Was horrible last month going to bed thinking I had implantation bleeding and waking up to AF.

Cramps nowhere near as bad today. Who knows aye!? CD22 and 7dpo but I had my first spotting last month CD23 and 9dpo. Thinking about it all is just exhausting.

I want to say we'll be thinking of you next week for your birthday but that sounds really wrong 😂🎉

Also PS. I always salute the maple AND say hello Mr Magpie, how's your wife and family. Also, if there's a few I always count them up and say the whole rhyme. I think it's just part of me now 🤣

Sleep well lovelies xxx

That's so sweet of you what you did for your neighbour, working in this pandemic has really opened to my eyes about the importance of mental health & being there for people, I see so much loneliness out there with people who don't have family come see them or who don't have any family at all.. Over the weekend I called in to someone who's recently lost their husband and their funeral is on Tuesday and she was telling me this whilst I went in for another reason and I felt bad that I couldn't spend that time back with her as I was only company she saw between care calls, so I managed to have about half a hour lul time on Sunday where I rang her house phone to make sure she was okay and spent the half hour of my break with her giving her company whilst she told me stories about her husband, if I could do that for everybody I see my heart would be full, but until that bit I just try my little bit here n there! I worked Christmas just gone and I was aware of the people who weren't going to have any family calling in to see if they were okay, so I gave my colleague an idea we would call and knock on their windows and wish them merry Christmas just so they saw someone :') ❤️🙌🏻 one person actually started crying on us for doing it, it was better than any present for me doing that xx
kaylsd · 08/03/2021 08:33

@CycloGoose

Oh *@Slinks8113* I'm so sorry to hear this. Enjoy the booze! Have you tried inositol? It's supposed to help with regulating cycles and be side effect free. I'm on my first month of it. Obviously don't know the effects yet.

My most beautiful heart dog at my mum and dad's has to go to sleep for the final time on Tuesday. I'm heartbroken. Was hoping to see her for one last time to be able to say goodbye. Sodding lockdown.

I'm sorry I've only just seen this about your parents dog, sending you the biggest hugs and loves across xxx

Morning ladies first day off today for 8 days wahooooo! And guess what it's fertile week for me and my hubby also has the same time off as me so you can imagine what it's going to be like 😉😘🙃 hahaha

Quick question

For those who use tracking apps, I have two fermometer & Premom, when it predicts your day off ovulation which do you normally believe? Some months premom is spot on and then others it's out and fermometer is accurate 🙈 I only temp to confirm ovulation then I don't bother tracking it for the rest of the month as no doubt I'll be like a crazy lady!

I'm litterally feeling every time I go on Facebook there's yet again another pregnancy announcement, i have a element of guilt when I see them because I feel bad that I'm wishing it's me but happy at the same time, never realised this journey was so up and down with emotions! I was speaking to one of my friends yesterday and she was telling me it took her 2 years for her first baby and had to Medicate her cycles because the pill affected her ovulation, I feel like when it comes to it for us hopefully I want to be so open about the fact it's not as simple as having unprotected sex, or it might not take the first few month of stopping pill to catch on, as I feel like trying for a baby is such a taboo subject for those who take slightly longer than others and feel bad about it when it's completely normal!

How's everyone getting along with their cycle? Anyone close to testing or in the enjoyment bit of the fertile week like me? I'm cd 15, I normally ovulate between 17-20 :D

For those starting a new cycle, sending lots of love & hugs, just means a new opportunity new cycle new start and new chance to catch that egg! 👌🏻👌🏻❤️🌈

lucea87 · 08/03/2021 09:23

@kaylsd you'll be at it like rabbits 🐇 (thanks for the sign haha!)

I think we've both psyched ourselves up that we need to DTD tonight and tomorrow now. Then it's going to be a long 2 weeks. I've updated femo this morning with cervix position (high and open) and also EWCM as that's started today too and it's changed my predicted ovulation to today. Will do my femo ovulation strips this afternoon and see how they look. The line on CB was strong this morning and I am cramping a little. I'm terrified. I missed this last month because my cycle was all over, just need to stay calm and focus. I can't help in terms of which app is more accurate as this is only my second month and I was crap at tracking last cycle until later on.....!!

KatieLooLa · 08/03/2021 09:42

Morning ladies,
How are we all today? I have the day off today... kinda. My lovely doggy will come shout at me soon for me to take her for a walk, then she’ll need a brush (I’ve brushed near everyday and there’s still more fur!) and of course housework... yay...
Pic of my fur baby Ares attached

@CycloGoose I’m CD23/9DPO. Usually around this time I’d be feeling this and that, this month though not feeling a lot of anything really, so will have to wait and see x

KatieLooLa · 08/03/2021 09:48

@kaylsd I do the same when people announce their pregnancies, wish them all the best but on the inside wishing it were me instead.
A girl at work is pregnant and I’m really annoyed with her as she’s going on about baby’s health yet smokes heavily and drinks energy drinks... I’ll stop there as I’ll end up ranting too much! X

Oh you're most welcome 🐰 hehe have you being following the smep plan or just when the mood fits? Me and hub this month are trying to take a relaxed approach cause we're knackered when it came to the smep approach what we did last month 🙈 what time of day do you normally do your OPK? I tend to do it around 12ish everyday, I've not had a increase yet but I've had a dip in temperature this morning and my OPK yesterday was 0.27 so I'm wondering if it's the start of things to come, I guess I'll know more in a hours time 🤞🏻

Oh my your pooch is beautiful, I can imagine it takes a lot to maintain the fur looking as lovely as it does! I have a miniature labradoodle and her curly locks take some brushing some days espesh when she's been on walks as she's the typical type of pooch to be in the water or in the mud puddles 😂 here's my beautiful Mable who was my fourth bridesmaid for my lockdown ceremony we had before the 3rd lockdown back in November :)

Well AF has reared her ugly head, which at least shows something. Just feel a bit grotty. Means can give this TTC a decent shot now this month!

I'll try not set you off sweet but I know exactly how you feel, I'm literally so cautious even in my TWW just on the principle of if I am pregnant 🙈 I do laugh at half the stuff I do see on Facebook though I love the ideas of the announcement of pregnancy really cute what some people do 🥰

Has anyone thought in advance how they would tell people? Or how they would tell their loved ones :')? Something for us all to look forward to no doubt in the future 🤞🏻🌈🙃

Slinks8113 · 08/03/2021 11:42

Potentially TMI but yesterday had a fair amount of blood when I went to the toilet twice but then since 7 last night had nothing and now just a light brown/pink tinge when I wipe...think my body is playing silly buggers with me!
I also rang the doctor today and waiting for a call back this afternoon, not holding out much hope for any advice but will see what she says about my short LPs. X

KatieLooLa · 08/03/2021 12:41

@kaylsd
What a cute pooch! Love that she was a bridesmaid for you, what a lovely touch.
Mine was giving me the usual morning argument while waiting for me to get ready to take her a walk! Had a nice walk along the beach, thankfully it stopped raining by the time we got out so didn’t need to dry her off too much. Filled a small bin bag full of her fur and she’s still got loads left to come out. Think a baby might actually be less work lol!

The girl at work, she’s nice enough but just kinda feels like a slap in the face at times as she’ll say she feels a little funny and ask for a break just to go out and have a cigarette! Have to admit I’m not being as careful as I could and smoke myself, however cutting down and if I get that BFP it’s be out the window and switching to decaf tea and coffee. X

minthumbugs · 08/03/2021 13:33

Sorry @Seraphim87 :( but CD1 now for you, new cycle and hopefully this is the one! Xx

@Slinks8113 how strange... how long have you been bleeding? Very annoying that when you look out for every sign your body gives you them. X

@kaylsd I definitely feel that with the announcements. I won't lie... I'm a blocker! I'm definitely happy for them but if it's someone who is particularly active on fb I can't deal with the daily updates. Am I bad?! Ha!

@lucea87 i think we might be on a similarish timescale the next few weeks keeping each other company!

I'm on 1DPO today (I'm pretty sure I am anyway). Feels nice that it's on a Monday lol, well here we go time to wait... I'm 50/50 got my hopes up and resigned to the fact AF will come. Think the statistics of it happening 1st cycle and 1st cycle after MC are so low I just don't want to get disappointed!

CycloGoose · 08/03/2021 14:57

So many messages today! Absolutely knackered having the kids in. They've gone feral I swear.

@lucea87 whoop whoop and I'm going to try and hold off as much as I can. I just don't believe it will happen anyway. So exciting for you with your static. The fun begins!

@kaylsd made me cry reading what you have done for the people on your rounds. You are so kind. I only use Femometer but that changes based on any ewcm and any other symptoms you add. I don't know. I've not even been using that long - I was just tracking in my Garmin app. I do get what you mean about pregnancy updates etc. It gets a bit gruelling but it'll be our turn soon enough I'm sure! Definitely an advocate for talking about it all more. It's just the societal pressure. I don't want MIL asking me every week how it's going. I think I'd rather open up to Trump about my cervical mucus than my MIL 🤦🏼‍♀️ Have the best week off! I love Mable. More Mable in my life please! 🤞 For your opk peak. I don't think I would want to do a big social media reveal. I think I'd want to call the most important people to us if we can't see them in real life but I wouldn't want to tell anyone too soon except you girls!

@KatieLooLa Ares is a real stunner! Can't tell from photo if she's husky or malamute. She's sooo lovely! I want to bury my face in all her floof. You should keep her fur and felt it 🤣🤣🤣 I always say these to my parents as the breed Bernese Mountain Dogs and have 7 full time so SO much fur. I also think you're cycle triplets with me and Slinks.

@Seraphim87 1 day closer to that bfp lovely. And time to relax and pamper yourself a bit.

@Slinks8113 omg not tmi. We're all googling implantation bleeding for you now. It sounds totally textbook. 1 in 3 women get it so 🤞🤞🤞 Will you let us know what the doctor says? I still keep feeling nauseous and tired but being back at school with the kids would do that to most people 🤣🤣 Especially when you have to fish a dead mouse out of a kid's rucksack mid lesson 🤢

@minthumbugs we'll have everything crossed for you darling xxx

lucea87 · 08/03/2021 15:05

Ooooh all these doggos 🥰🥰 ours is fast asleep after a long wet walk!! I've tried to attach photo of him, but not sure if it's worked. He's lovely when he's asleep!

@minthumbugs sounds like it! Not sure if ovulation will be today or tomorrow. Gonna be a long old 2 weeks 😭😭

@kaylsd I want to tell family in person which is difficult at the moment, my family are local but OH aren't, I plan on paying for an early scan though to ease my mind so will probably tell them after that I think as just want to be cautious. We are meeting with my family hopefully in mid April once allowed so hoping if I'm pregnant this time I'll be able to tell them then.

CycloGoose · 08/03/2021 15:45

And the 12 week scan is actually like 8 weeks after you find out, right?

How much is an early scan? @lucea87

This is lady Lily who's going to cross the rainbow bridge. I love her soooo much.

I've known her since she was seconds old 🥺

My parents are Scotland and I'm London so a bit tricky 🤦🏼‍♀️

kaylsd · 08/03/2021 16:13

Sorry for the long paragraphs in advance ladies just catching up!

@Seraphim87 - sorry to hear that the witch came in for you, have a good bevvy and cheers to the next cycle and each cycle that comes is a new chance to catch that egg 🌈😘❤️

@Slinks8113 - how many days LP have you been running at lately chick? Is it a reoccurring thing that they have become so short for you? Let us know how you get on at the GP are you going to have the ovulation bloods to see if you ovulate? Sending hugs xxxx

@KatieLooLa- I wish I had a beach near by to walk on a daily basis, last time I was at the beach was the end of September I think it was Scarborough cause one side of it becomes dog friendly out of season, always partial to treating Mable to those dog friendly ice creams :’) I do think with that much fur you could potentially make a rug no doubt ;) has your pooch been around small children / babies before? Mable is absolutely fine around small children that have come round before I just wonder what she’s going to be like when there is eventually a small edition for us as she’s being considered the fur child for the last 2 years nearly :’)

@minthumbugs- I know what you mean about dodging the announcements I’ve actually got a habit of scrolling straight past or if I see them on the Facebook stories with either scans or bumps I tend to avoid clicking on it unless it’s people I actually like and not sour about their little bubba’s on the way 😂🙈

@CycloGoose- how’s been your first day back sweetheart! Was thinking about it today when I saw it all over Facebook with the back to school photos with the little ones, with you saying they’ve gone feral I take it you prob need abit of time out this evening to compose what you’ve just had to endure for the day 😂🙈 thank you for your kind words chick I don’t see it as anything than just doing my job hehe, I just wish sometimes there was more time in the day espesh for the ones who are appreciative of what you do! Don’t get me wrong there’s some not so nice people where you feel like you want to curse them but you’ve just got to wear a poker face, I can imagine you might be the same when a child is being awful and disruptive 😂🙈 or other terms being a little shit haha! I don’t think I have any bond with much of my inlaws to talk about TTC, my SIL is the main focus at the moment with her being due next month which kind of good for me as they don’t ask us much about it; the BIL can be quite insensitive like I’ve mentioned to you before I’m also like you, I’d rather talk to anyone and everyone but that bunch about it all 😂🙈 I’ll keep updating photos of her this week as a pick me up, aiming to walk her some nice places but I’ve just spent last 2 hour cleaning out our Hotub and put gazebo up with fairy lights ready for the week off, woop woop!

@lucea87 -that’s sounds a lovely idea, I love the thought of when I’m able to see family to be able to tell them good news that we have a bum in the oven, I don’t think I’ll want to post much across social media too because I’ll remember how I felt when I see others when I’m on the TTC and I never know how many of my friends may be on the same journey and finding things hard

However saying that! This is my idea, abit of a past story, me and my hubs first date over 7 years ago was on a snowy day day after Boxing Day and he decided that it was a good idea for us to go walking around the woods with a flask of coffee a blanket on our laps and a little picnic and we sat on this bench at top of the hill and just saw pure white snow everywhere, was actually quite romantic! Fast forward 6 and half years later, we went to the same woods on our wedding day (as we weren’t allowed a Receiption having it this year hopefully instead and we wanted still an intimate photo shoot and what better way to reflect back on our first date) I’ll attach one of the pics in the woods anyway my idea is that we will go back to the woods with hopefully Mable with a big sister bandana on her neck with my hub kissing my tummy as I have a little baby bump with me holding a scan photo :’) as it’s quite a significant place we hold fond memories here :’)

@CycloGoose about £60-80 I think depending on where you book, there's lots of places local so us so expect there's lots local to you too. Lots of them do packages too so you can book a range of different scans as you go on like 4D etc which I quite liked. I'm the kinda person who is going to want to see her baby all the time 😂😂

So GP rang me back and said that the ovulation tests and temperature monitoring is not accurate so it's very unlikely I have an issue! I should stop testing and temping and just relax, try meditation and yoga and she's sure it'll happen....oh doctors are great aren't they 😂🤷🏼‍♀️
AF is definitely here, little cow! But onwards and upwards....maybe I should dig out my yoga pants and start humming! X

Urgh. How annoying. As if someone telling you to relax will make you relax and really is it not accurate at all? I beg to differ.......
Iloveoreos · 08/03/2021 18:54

@kaylsd wow that wedding pic 😍😍😍

And yea i agree with the social media updates tbh i rarerly post anything from my life on social media. Too many nosy 🥸🤓😶😶

Iloveoreos · 08/03/2021 18:56

Well i used to post but not anymore on fb insta .completely stopped on snapchat aswell. And here i was with snapchat streaks 2 yrs ago lol

I agree @kaylsd wowwowwowwow! You've absolutely nailed it. They can be little shits but I love them totally. You're a good egg, I can tell. I'm so excited for you for your birthday. Sounds like you have found such a lovely way to make it special despite the lockdown! I absolutely love a fairy light. Fecking squirrels ate through my cables - squirrel sign there! Such a gorgeous idea for bump reveal, too!

@slinks8113 that's surely absolute bullfrog. Mine did actually ask me if I'd tried using OPKs. They just have their hands tied don't they. Sorry AF has come in full force! I was with you on that rollercoaster hoping for the best!

My pregnancy unicorn 🦄🦄 readings are in! Could be read as being VERY exciting!!

Making me think I should test tomorrow but I don't have a frer and no way I'll get a BFP on a cheapy on CD10 surely!
