Hi ladies anyone want to join me in a thread to chat about ttc this month? I’m currently on CD2.
A bit about me.

I’m 28 and TTC baby number 1. We’ve been trying for a year and a half now, I had 4 recurrent miscarriages in 2020 so hoping the next will stick. I’ve been given new medication to try next time.

@CycloGoose only 8 dpo 😳😳 so it was ridiculously early and I think that's why I was so taken aback when I saw the faint positive. Think I'll hold off until Friday now. My h2b has told me to just forget about it and wait to see if AF arrives - easier said than done 😂 x

DoveGreylove · 01/03/2021 09:25

Huge congratulations to the BFPs! You must be so thrilled and excited.

We are out for this cycle, I am pretty disappointed. I think I will try SMEP this cycle and see how we go. What frustrates me is a know we had sex on the right days but nothing happened.

Slinks8113 · 01/03/2021 09:46

@CycloGoose that's so true 😂😂 my temp has raised now so I'm officially in 2WW! Eek! I think ovulation was on Saturday but just waiting for my app to catch up and confirm. That'll be 2 days after the peak which seems about right :)
DTD every other day so fingers crossed that the fortnight goes in quick haha. X x

CycloGoose · 01/03/2021 09:55

It's heartbreaking isn't it @DoveGreylove sorry to hear that. We've had 5 cycles of timing it right but it sometimes just takes time. Sucks big style though!

@BrodieKD soooo much easier said than done! Good luck with it and fingers crossed, baby dust etc ✨✨✨

minthumbugs · 01/03/2021 09:58

@Slinks8113 aww I wouldn't worry about it too much. Lots of people have healthy pregnancies and healthy babies without making a single change! I think just having as healthy lifestyle as you can is all you can do, I'm trying to just have everything in moderation. Xx

@BrodieKD ☹️ that must have been so upsetting. Hope is not lost yet though, you're not out yet! Was it a CB digital? I seem to remember reading something (a few years ago) that they are less sensitive. Xx

CycloGoose · 01/03/2021 09:58

@Slinks8113 official snap - mine has been up 2 days in a row too so must have ov really quickly after surge. Didn't manage to DTD Sunday.

May I join please?
Little bit about me...
I’m 35, OH is 40 (41 this month). TTC baby number 1. Been trying a little over a year (although not religiously, some months were missed).
I thought we’d gotten lucky once but either it was a false positive or a chemical pregnancy.
On CD16 at the moment, BBT is 36.4c.
Not sure what else to say other than good luck everyone and hope we all get BFP’s!

Slinks8113 · 01/03/2021 10:45

@CycloGoose you did good didn't you 😂

I am going to make more of a conscious effort to cut down on caffeine now I've read that. It just makes me think about if that caused the MC before. So easy to read into these things isn't it! X

CycloGoose · 01/03/2021 10:55

@Slinks8113 please please please try not to play the blame game with yourself. It's not fair to you. The most likely reason is that baby just wasn't healthy and wasn't ready for this world. You're doing your best! That's more than most people xxx

Hello @katieLooLa I'm 34 so not that different. DH is 37 I think... Lost count a bit! Is that a high temp for you or are you pre peak? I'm CD17 2dpo x

Any progress on the bleeding @minthumbugs will you speak to GP do you think?

minthumbugs · 01/03/2021 11:17

@KatieLooLa hi, I'm on CD15! So our dates might be quite close this month. Best of luck. 🤞🏻 X

@CycloGoose bleeding totally stopped today, the other day was the heaviest but it hasn't turned into a period. I'm tracking it and looking out for it so I can speak to the GP about it, not sure if they will even entertain me though - I'm 25, been lucky enough to conceive 3 times (one unplanned, other 2 fairly quickly) and have one healthy baby so we will see! X

kaylsd · 01/03/2021 11:20

@Sallyjo27

So another update from the peeing on a stick addict.... I had this reading a while ago that I bought on Etsy “First we look at a month that will be significant in your fertility journey and for this I have got April. I only look 12 months ahead so this would be April this year. ..... Snow is somehow going to be significant around this pregnancy.” This is just a snip it of the reading as it’s quite long. Well last night was a full moon and it was the snow moon... and I’ve just had my bfp! I can’t believe it! Also April will be my 12 week scan- hopefully I’ll make it to that this time. I’ve got to ring my clinic tomorrow morning for my medication so hope it will work, 5th time lucky!! Xxx
Congratulations! Sorry this is late I've only just seen this, it makes me feel so much excited hearing your reading and your BFP, although they say it's entertainment purposes look how true yours become! Hoping for a healthy 9 month for you 🤞🏻🌈❤️
kaylsd · 01/03/2021 11:22
@kaylsd Oooh that's not long at all! I'm hoping to conceive (not next cycle but the cycle after which begins on 29th of March) I will ovulate on around the 10th of April when which is my birthday! Also OH Mum's birthday is on the 24th of April - if we have a positive test by then that will be her birthday present :)!

July would be a great month to conceive as you wouldn't be HEAVILY pregnant over the summer either.

No plans for my birthday in lockdown, 2nd birthday in lockdown :p just going to be DTD every day I think ;)

Hopefully we can stick to the road map and we're out of lockdown by your birthday!!

@CycloGoose Yes true it is super early still but I thought with an FRER it would show up if I was? Will give it until AF comes now. Due 3rd, which was also one of my significant numbers haha! I actually didn't notice the butterfly until I posted it then immediately thought!!
Sorry for delay sweetheart been hardly on my phone over the weekend, your birthday lockdown plans sounds similar to mine! My only request has been for a takeaway Nando's (I'm so sad hahaha) we are inflating the hot tub back up for a little while as we both have a week off work and coincidently is when my Fertile week, how lucky ;)!

kaylsd · 01/03/2021 11:26

@CycloGoose

Morning ladies!

@Genevive123 sorry about the bfn but still early to test so might not be out. Also you know you will probably be able to test on 27th march as well!! PS did you include the butterfly for @Sallyjo27 ?

@kaylsd very relieved not to be taunted any more and to have an end in sight for the regimented BD!

Men can just be so insensitive can't they. Glad you've woken up feeling refreshed. Definitely not sad about houseplants - I love them! Lidl is fantastic for value and quality - I've had lots from there. I also got an amazing one last year when my MIL was driving me mad. It's called mother in law's tongue and it makes me smile every time. Maybe you can nickname yours brother in law's tongue instead 🤣

You've said with yours as well that it would be great to have your anniversary party when you're not super super pregnant too so maybe that's why July is a good time for you. We never know though - like they say, our free will can change things all the time xxx

@Slinks8113 have you been doing cheap ones as well? It might be that you do ovulate a little earlier but your temp takes a while to rise? I think I ovulate almost immediately after my peak. Not sure. I woke up at 6 and did my bbt and it came out as 36.01 and then I tested again when I woke up properly at 8 and it was 36.61 so I don't think my readings are very accurate 🤦 Hope you're managing lots of successful BD!! Not sure I can face doing it tomorrow as well 🤣 TWW is on its way.

Sorry for delay hunny been hardly on my phone over weekend! I was tempted to give him a nickname for when he's like that but then I thought I'll simmer down, my mum once compared my MIL to the wicked witch of the west and she said once she was going to get her a Christmas bauble with a glitter red heel to see if she would make the link, you can imagine of how my in law family can be ;)

I've had the most relaxing weekend it's been so nice for a change, looking forward to our wedding anniversary celebration now with the sounds it will be able to go ahead with the properly with the numbers we have paid for fingers crossed just can't choose a outfit yet because I won't wear my dress again incase it's bad luck and I can't buy anything in advance incase I'm 🤰, but least it's something to look forward to! Do you have anything planned this year holiday wise or anything along those lines :)? Xx

kaylsd · 01/03/2021 11:29

Morning ladies! Sorry for being so quiet over the weekend decided to have a relaxing weekend with the hubs which consisted off junk food eating watching random films long dog walks & couple of wines here n there :p

How are we all feeling? Just a little question for those who OPK, of which day do you start testing for OPK? My Femometer app has suggested from today so that's what I'm going to do I was just curious for everyone else because I tend to ovulate CD 18-20 and I feel like I waste so many strips but saying that I would be cheesed off if I missed my peak and didn't realise so I always start earlier on :')

Cycle 7, I didn't think it would be this long maybe it's my ignorance to the process but ready for a steady away cycle to reduce pressures / stress, last months smep was exhausting so just gonna BD when the mood fits 👌🏻🙈

minthumbugs · 01/03/2021 11:46

Hey @kaylsd what CD are you on? I normally ovulate around that time too, this is my first cycle doing OPKs and I started on CD9 with cheapies 🙈 I've been doing every other day and now I'm on CD15 I'm going to start using CB ones daily from tomorrow... I'm clueless though 😂

kaylsd · 01/03/2021 12:24

@minthumbugs

Hey *@kaylsd* what CD are you on? I normally ovulate around that time too, this is my first cycle doing OPKs and I started on CD9 with cheapies 🙈 I've been doing every other day and now I'm on CD15 I'm going to start using CB ones daily from tomorrow... I'm clueless though 😂
I keep getting tempted to upgrade my little kit to to a CB but I'm too much of a tight get and love my internet cheapies 😂🙈 I'm on cycle day 8 today, just stopped my period yesterday and my app says to take them today so I'm gonna be in for a long wait for the OPK tests so I'm going to consider doing every other day until it gets closer then switch to daily when I think it will probably happen :')
minthumbugs · 01/03/2021 12:44

@kaylsd I've been on the fence but targeted ads got me yesterday.Got it on sale, still not telling my partner though 😂 it's a nightmare having long cycles isn't it, long wait for ovulation and it's definitely not a two week wait either! X

izzyboo22 · 01/03/2021 12:49

Hi all, mind if I join this group as you all seem like a lovely bunch!

I'm currently TTC no.1, cycle 1, aged 31 and partner 33 . Normally have 28-30 day cycles and currently CD35, not super unusual as I tend to have one longer cycle every 4-5 months, I presume where I ovulate later or not at all.

I'm not tracking ovulation for now as I don't want the pressure of it, but been off hormonal contraception for a couple of years so know my cycle pretty well. Took a preg test at CD31 and CD33 and both were definitely negative so pretty sure I'm not pregnant yet but wondering where the heck my period is, typical it goes a bit haywire the 1st month! Just want AF to come so we can start cycle 2.

Slinks8113 · 01/03/2021 13:03

@minthumbugs I didn't tell my hubby either as I didn't want to put too much pressure on DTD but then he came out of the bathroom one day and said what does a smiley face mean 😂 as it stays like that for 48 hours! Fortunately he doesn't really understand cycles and when stuff happens 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

CycloGoose · 01/03/2021 13:31

Hey @kaylsd glad you had a lovely weekend. Did you get a nice houseplant? I had to go to b&q and they had some lovely stuff.

I started testing too early this time and it really freaked me out. Most things say start from day 10 unless you have a short cycle.

When it gets closer, I test a few times a day but I think my peak tends to happen quite late in the evening so I don't always see it if I test in the morning.

I'm not sure what I feel about the Clear Blue to be honest. I didn't get a flashing smiley face the first time and the second time it started flashing way too soon so I don't think I'm going to get it again.

I think I'm going to get OvuSense if I don't conceive this time. I'm a bit of a nerd and it's all my data in one place without having to wait around for pee samples or wake up and take my temperature etc. It's a lot of money but I think it will be worth it in the long run.

I have to tell my husband, otherwise he gives in to just being too tired. It was so much better this month and I didn't get all upset with him rejecting me because he knew what was going on! That much sex just isn't normal for us 🤣

Glad bleeding stopped @minthumbugs - how bizarre!

Hello @izzyboo22 I think it's a thing - as soon as you start thinking about it, everything changes 🤣 it's not bad enough we have to have periods in the first place but when we want them to serve their purpose and house a baby the screw us over!

@CycloGoose temp is a tad higher than usual, usually around 34-35c
Trying not to get hopes up but I’ll more than likely get ahead of myself as always!

@minthumbugs best of luck to you too!

CycloGoose · 01/03/2021 14:20

Sounds like TWW with us then @KatieLooLa I'm going to try and be loads more relaxed this time. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

izzyboo22 · 01/03/2021 14:51

@CycloGoose ahh I know it's just typical, I've had years of being so paranoid about getting pregnant unexpectedly and now it's a complete reversal!

and it's such a minefield with partners who are oblivious to the female psyche when it comes to baby making. Mine has no idea I'm already a little bit antsy and googling everything only 3-4 weeks in, but as I say I'm not planning to track just yet, just going for the every 2-3 days approach for the first few months, and he doesn't seem to have any objections so far

Sallyjo27 · 01/03/2021 15:27

Ah girls I feel so stupid! I tested again today and it was negative. I don’t know what’s happened 😩
