Anyone else first month ttc?

Hi guys.

I’m new here, I’m 29 (30 in May) and my boyfriend is the same. We had decided to start ttc in June time 2021 but over Christmas we both decided to ‘roll the dice’ once before and started having unprotected sex this month. I came off the pill in October time as I didn’t get on with it AT ALL.

I use Clue but only had two afs before this cycle so not sure how long my cycle actually is. We dtd most days over when the app said I was most fertile and it aligned with the cm too. I’m dry not (tmi) so I assume I’m passed it now!

With a 30 day cycle I had last month I’m due af on the 22nd but with and 35 day one (which I used to have before the pill I’d be ov around today but cm isn’t having that, well dtd anyway just in case. Then wouldn’t except af until the 27th. I’m willing it not to arrive and have decided to not even contemplate a test until the end of the month if af hasn’t arrived.

Just wondered who else is trying and in the first few months? I can’t help but reading everything I can find about early signs and feel like when we start trying properly in the few months I might go crazy!!

How are you finding it?

@marcella64 thanks. yesterday I was about 8/9dpo I think. I kinda want to test ASAP but I also don’t want a faint line as I think I’d go crazy. I was getting really impatient at the start but recently felt calmer about it all so think I’ll wait as it won’t make any difference, only the line will be darker if it’s there :)

Hi! Hope it's ok me joining late to the party! January is our first month TTC too.

We're 30 and have a 4yo but this is our first time trying for a baby, as the last little miss was a pleasant surprise.

I'm only on CD9 but feels like cd20 - lockdown can't half make time go slower 🙈 hope you're all doing well ☺️

@Grace185 How strange. You are right that it doesn't sound like the classical description of an implantation bleed, but not sure what else could be going on so fingers crossed! Have you chosen a day that you are going to test?

@Hallie91 Welcome! :) I know what you mean about time going slowly. I do worry about how I'm going to cope if it takes a year to conceive as life has started to revolve around cycle days and OPKs. Let's hope for nice early BFPs!

I’ve tried to stop the poas too early this time round but just can’t 😂 I know it’s far too early but I’ve already tested (on an out of date test as that’s all I had in the house, also who knew they went out of date?!) which was obviously a negative. I wasn’t tracking properly this time but had some signs/twinges of ovulation so fairly certain I’m in the tww now!

Hey girls! Hope everyone’s ok? @Grace185 fingers crossed it’s an implantation bleed for you. are you still holding out before testing?

My symptoms from coming off the pill have subsided, thankfully! I’ve got a fair bit of white/clearish CM and pains in my stomach. Who knows what’s going on anymore, still waiting for AF to arrive or a BFP will be coming into the 3rd week off the pill this week.

I'm now on my 5th day of flashing smiley on clearblue opk, still no sign of an LH surge :( I know I'm being impatient as this is first month off the mini pill so it might take a while for my hormones to get back to normal, but it is so frustrating waiting and not even knowing if I will ovulate.

@pbdr hope your ok! Try to stay positive. This is partly why I didn’t want to do OPK however I do sit here and wonder if I’m ovulating and check CM so I may aswell just do OPK I’m first month off the mini pill too. Have you had a period yet? I’m still waiting...... ever so patiently!!! X

Hi ladies - joining the party slightly late, but am in a similar position to some of you so thought I'd say hi.

Im 33 (partner is 28), came off the pill in October and have been tracking cycles, this month we decided that we wouldn't actively try as such but we wouldn't be careful. Had AF 3x since coming off the pill, although first may well have been a withdrawal bleed (don't know much about them but I was on the mini pill and haven't had a proper period in ages before, just the odd bit of spotting) cycles are around 23/24 days which isn't dissimilar to what I was like pre-pill. Anyway, I've been trying to track cervical mucus and using two apps - they are predicting that I ovulated either on the 12th/13th (which seems to fit with what looks like EWCM in the days leading up... I guess anyway, super stretchy, whiteish to clear?... probably TMI but I've even been googling pictures... bit obsessed for someone who 'wasn't actively trying as such' 🤪) so that would put me at 5/6 DPO today.

Had some cramping last night, but otherwise no symptoms - but I'm also aware that would be early for symptoms if I did ovulate then, and it's more likely something else!

AF due 25th/26th so will see what happens and test then if it doesn't arrive.

@leigha22 haha yeah I am planning on waiting until next Friday as af is due sometime between 22-27th (only had one cycle off the pill) and I just don’t want the mental strain of a faint line. Having said that I might give in. My plan at the moment is to buy a few tests Thursday night and then test first thing. How are you getting on?

My spotting has stopped (I think) and back to either completely dry or creamy ewcm type. TMI!

@trackiesandasmokeyeye it’s funny how obsessed you get straight away isn’t it? When are you thinking you’ll test?

How is every one else getting on? What stages are you all now?

@Grace185 hey! I know what you mean about a faint line, I’d be going crazy too. Definitely worth holding out if you can or maybe get the early response tests? I’m ok thank you, the sticky CM seems to be going so will see what the next few days bring. Xx

@leigha22 yeah and that way there’s less time knowing I was pg and the risk of losing it. It’s a strange logic but I think it’s to protect myself. When’s af due for you?

Hi @Grace185 I'm 9dpo, due AF Friday. No symptoms this month, I will wait and see if AF arrives before I test. Good to hear the spotting has stopped x

@Grace185 completely understand what you mean! I’ll be keeping everything crossed for you. AF? Who even knows 😅 I haven’t had a period in over 10 years due to being on the mini pill so just waiting for her to arrive! Xx

@Grace185 - definitely 0 - 100 in terms of obsession very quickly. I want to wait until the 26th at least to test, might push it a bit further if AF doesn't turn up by then - I'm not sure id cope well with a faint line.

@mrssunshinexxx if af doesn’t come then the morning of the 29th is my plan. I could before but want a more definitive result I think. So given myself about 3 weeks wait from ov but I’m hoping I can last 10 more days haha
