Anyone else first month ttc?

Hi guys.

I’m new here, I’m 29 (30 in May) and my boyfriend is the same. We had decided to start ttc in June time 2021 but over Christmas we both decided to ‘roll the dice’ once before and started having unprotected sex this month. I came off the pill in October time as I didn’t get on with it AT ALL.

I use Clue but only had two afs before this cycle so not sure how long my cycle actually is. We dtd most days over when the app said I was most fertile and it aligned with the cm too. I’m dry not (tmi) so I assume I’m passed it now!

With a 30 day cycle I had last month I’m due af on the 22nd but with and 35 day one (which I used to have before the pill I’d be ov around today but cm isn’t having that, well dtd anyway just in case. Then wouldn’t except af until the 27th. I’m willing it not to arrive and have decided to not even contemplate a test until the end of the month if af hasn’t arrived.

Just wondered who else is trying and in the first few months? I can’t help but reading everything I can find about early signs and feel like when we start trying properly in the few months I might go crazy!!

How are you finding it?

@Grace185 not sure how helpful it will be but sure. Didn't do anything "in particular" this cycle as it was our first proper month of trying. Just DTD often which I know isn't that helpful to say!!....

Other than not getting AF I had some nausea and tender nipples a couple of weeks ago.... went off food a little bit which has continued up to now, sore boobs and a little cramping but just similar to before AF... very vivid dreams which apparently is a sign but I've been up late and watching weird stuff so not sure how much of it is that

As we all know preg signs and AF signs are annoyingly similar!! Not getting period was the biggest giveaway.

@pbdr I’ll try to hold out too but I’ll see how I go... I’ve got 2 early response in the draw so if it can’t resist I’ll do one mid next week maybe!

So my AF has just finished. I'm starting from now!!
Random but do you girls shower straight after sex? Also thoughts on putting your legs up after? I want to do everything I possibly can 😂😂🙏

@mrssunshinexxx me too!! Easier for late night sessions but i'll end up lying in bed all day if it's AM 😂🤷‍♀️

@everysunrise I go to the loo (to prevent UTIs and clean up) and then straight back to bed if it’s before bed. If not I’ll normally just go about my day, but only on cycle 2 so give me a few more cycles and I’ll probably be lying down indefinitely!

@Grace185 Yes I think the same for me too!!!
This is literally consuming my mind, motivation in other areas are slacking.. anyone else??! I just want it so much and it's the only thing I can focus on 🙈
I really need to calm down and carry on with life haha (although pretty hard atm in lockdown)

Yep I feel the same and I thought I wouldn't be so obsessed as I already have one baby but I want to give her a sibling with the smallest gap possible in the hope they will be close @everysunrise

Yeah I don’t think lockdown is helping. Time has gone much faster this month for me. I would quite like it to be a weeks time to see if af is here and plus we are getting a new bed haha

@Grace185 I bought a ferti-lily cup which is light a menstral cup. You put it in straight after then you can go for a wee etc. Leave it in for 20 mins then just wash it after. I fell asleep with it in last week though, oops....!

@mrssunshinexxx ahh that's understandable! How old is your little one? Did it take you long to conceive your first?

@Grace185 haha I was like that in my last TWW. I'm normally patient but not with this 😂 not too long for you now!

@everysunrise she's 7 months and it took me 7 months but only used an app for first 3/4 months and it had my ovulation well out! Xx

Yes defo I wasn't making that mistake again I was going stir crazy by month 7 last time ! @everysunrise

Pretty sure I'm out girls, brown spotting today, bugger. Do I could today as CD1 or wait for a flow? Now I don't know when to start testing! Will start tempting tomorrow and recording everything on Femometer, and be guided by that I guess....I've got femometer OPKs and also clearblue.

Sorry @lucea87 how long was this cycle? If you'd tell me that I can send you a picture from clear blue opks on what day you should start using opks

@mrssunshinexxx I've just had a check on their website and it says Wednesday 6th March of AF starts 'flowing' tomorrow. I've got my little kit at the ready, all in box in front of the loo so I don't forget this time.

I have 2 sticks left from my last cycle but I've read conflicting things about if you can use them again on the next cycle or not....
