Anyone else first month ttc?

Hi guys.

I’m new here, I’m 29 (30 in May) and my boyfriend is the same. We had decided to start ttc in June time 2021 but over Christmas we both decided to ‘roll the dice’ once before and started having unprotected sex this month. I came off the pill in October time as I didn’t get on with it AT ALL.

I use Clue but only had two afs before this cycle so not sure how long my cycle actually is. We dtd most days over when the app said I was most fertile and it aligned with the cm too. I’m dry not (tmi) so I assume I’m passed it now!

With a 30 day cycle I had last month I’m due af on the 22nd but with and 35 day one (which I used to have before the pill I’d be ov around today but cm isn’t having that, well dtd anyway just in case. Then wouldn’t except af until the 27th. I’m willing it not to arrive and have decided to not even contemplate a test until the end of the month if af hasn’t arrived.

Just wondered who else is trying and in the first few months? I can’t help but reading everything I can find about early signs and feel like when we start trying properly in the few months I might go crazy!!

How are you finding it?

I found the pregnacare tablets gave me the worst stomach ache too. I use the seven seas ones now and have had no issues.

I'm still here though now on CD39 with no clue when I ovulated. I've been cramping for the last 2/3days but CM is totally clear. I'm so confused!!!

@everysunrise well the first month was really weird for me, I had spotting a week before af which never happens and then had a really really strange quick but clotty (tmi) af. Was disappointing but I knew it was a long shot. This month I’m still a bit impatient for the end of the month to see if af comes but tbh if it does I don’t think I’ll be too bad. We are having a few months off after this cycle to avoid a Christmas/early January baby and I’m also up for a promotion at work so would ideally not have to tell them so soon! Ironically I thought the promotion was a no go so we thought why not try again this morning and then found out it should be the end of March. Still not celebrating yet! So if it happens this month great but if not I think life will be busy for the next few months anyway :) how are you feeling?

@Grace185 hope you get the promotion! I thought I would stop for December as didn't fancy a Xmas baby but I already know if I don't get pregnant this month I'll just carry on 😂

@mrssunshinexxx thank you! Haha yeah I think I’d be the same but oh is pretty set and now with my job it actually would be ideal to wait. So we’ll see what af decided this month haha

Fingers crossed for everyone in the tww! I’m on day 13 of flashing smiley face 🤷🏼‍♀️🤪 I’m thinking either the clear blue ones just don’t work for me or I’m having an extra long cycle so ovulation is later, I (sorry tmi) felt wet discharge yesterday evening before going to the loo which from all my reading last time are signs you should be bd-ing as ovulation is on its way 🤣 so we will see what happens! Am bracing myself for a long cycle so will need to refrain from poas for as long as possible!

@Glenpatrick that's frustrating it's taking so long hopefully in the next day or so! I got my static yesterday and can literally feel ovulation now / since I got up this morn it's borderline painful like it was TTC last time. I want to NOT test early so we could help each other

@Grace185 wow that is really odd because I have had the exact same on my first AF since TTC. Usually I am very heavy and have little clots- only slightly nearer to the end. This time, I am not as heavy but clotting a lot! I wonder what has caused this...
When AF arrived, I was surprisingly ok because I had taken 50 tests (lol felt like that) and they were all BFN and then I was worried that my cycle wasn't normal, and I was paranoid that the pregnacare tabs had played a part. I've stopped them now after reading this forum as things like that just freak me out. Now trying the seven seas ones.

@everysunrise yeah it was strange. I was thinking chemical but I didn’t do a test properly before, I tried one but peed all over it aha and flooded the cheapie test. So I’ll never know if it was a chemical or just my body messing with me. I hope for a normal af or no af at all this time haha!

Anyone else's ovulation so painful. I totally forgot about this when TTC last time ouch

@Grace185 I'm actually starting to wonder more about mine.
Although my tests were BFN, something just seems off. TMI - the clots sit at the bottom of the toilet when I wee. Very dark in colour, and so gooey it hangs. SORRY for the tmi. Could this be more than just a coincidentially strange period after TTC for the first time

I think I would have had 13 if I had continued! Starting to think I should have now as symptoms wise suggested that day 13/14 if I had carried on would have been flashing. How many statics did you get first?

I'm now CD41. Cramping since Friday. Cervix has risen the last few days, no sign of AF at all except for cramps. I caved and tested yesterday but it was negative, not even a squinter. So it's either too early or there's a problem. I've not had a cycle this long since 2018

We DTD 6th (would have been 13th day of flashies) and 9th. Leading up to and on 5th/6th I had all the ovulation symptoms too. Maybe I'm kidding myself. IDK! Also don't know how long to wait to test again if still no AF....!!

@lucea87 I had 1 day of no fertility (day 6) and then straight into the flashing smiley (day 7 until now). Def have ovulation signs today in terms of CM so am praying that it goes static smiley tomorrow 🙌🙌🙌 I’m just hoping this then makes my cycle longer and gives mes a good lutual phase 🤞🏻

Our bodies are so odd! Have you started anything new i.e vitamins or eating differently that might explain the long cycle? I had 1 really long cycle when ttc the last time 43 days long (think it was the 3rd cycle) so I made a drs appointment and typically af arrived the night before! Went to the appointment anyway as it was first thing in the am and too late to cancel, dr wasn’t any help shrugged his shoulders and said it was just one of those things 🙄

I'm thinking Friday. Doing the maths in my head based on DTD/symptoms. If still nothing Friday and BFN again then I'll be losing the plot! I've always worried I have problems 😭
