Anyone else first month ttc?

Hi guys.

I’m new here, I’m 29 (30 in May) and my boyfriend is the same. We had decided to start ttc in June time 2021 but over Christmas we both decided to ‘roll the dice’ once before and started having unprotected sex this month. I came off the pill in October time as I didn’t get on with it AT ALL.

I use Clue but only had two afs before this cycle so not sure how long my cycle actually is. We dtd most days over when the app said I was most fertile and it aligned with the cm too. I’m dry not (tmi) so I assume I’m passed it now!

With a 30 day cycle I had last month I’m due af on the 22nd but with and 35 day one (which I used to have before the pill I’d be ov around today but cm isn’t having that, well dtd anyway just in case. Then wouldn’t except af until the 27th. I’m willing it not to arrive and have decided to not even contemplate a test until the end of the month if af hasn’t arrived.

Just wondered who else is trying and in the first few months? I can’t help but reading everything I can find about early signs and feel like when we start trying properly in the few months I might go crazy!!

How are you finding it?

And welcome @pixiedust21 :) we’re just seeing how it goes at the moment too. I think opks will make me go crazy. After this month we are having a bit of a break to avoid Christmas/January babies so I think I might use them in those months to see when I actually ov but not having the extra pressure of dtd at the right time!

@lucea87 hi! Just read about your 9 days of flashes. I had 8 days and I said I'll do one more then stop and I got my peak. My ClearBlue app was telling me to start testing on CD6 maybe to figure out when I'm ovulating. No harm in trying one more! 😊

Judging by my CM today I should have done one yesterday which would have been day 10 of flashing but I didn't. So will see when AF arrives and go from there xx

I'm here all ready for my next cycle I think. DTD again last night just in case I ovulated late, and for practise of course

I've got Femometer sticks for the next one as well as the CB ones and downloaded that app to track every day. Tempted to order the thermometer as well, do anyone else use this app?

So 2 days ago sorry if TMI I thought my period was starting as had slight blood and allt of cervical mucus on my first wee of the day but nothing since now I've got it in my head it's implantation bleed ( I know it probably won't be ) but it says that happens 10-14 days after conception and I looked on my flow app and we had sex 2 days in a row bang in that time line I can only hope !

@mrssunshinexxx ohhh that’s promising! I got ewcm today so will be dtd later! Tbh we’ve gone for the approach of just dtd a lot this month!

I don't want to get too excited with my period not returning Its definitely wishful thinking but you can of course fall pregnant before first period returns so not impossible! @Grace185 sounds a good plan the cycles do seem to come round fast

Tested again Saturday but saw absolutely nothing but still no AF and wondering what the heck is going on... pah. Ordered some tests online which should arrive tomorrow so will just see how next few days go...

@pixiedust21 How many DPO are you now?

@pbdr I didn't track it properly other than through an app - I believe about 12 dpo currently. I THINK. Was going to start tracking properly next month after being quite relaxed about it all for the first month... but that doesn't help now I don't really know

@Grace185 I usually get it between day 28-34 but on average cycles are 33 days. I'm now on day 36 so it is later than normal for me.

Could be slightly too early for some tests? Which ones are you using?

Hi All, is anybody TTC after coming off the pill? I am 27 and have been on the pill since I was 14ish. I came off mid December and had my typical 5 day withdrawal bleed, but nothing since. Currently on CD57 and have absolutely no idea what my body is doing, my skins a mess, my hairs greasy, and im showing no signs of AF any time soon. Tried talking to my mum about it and she just told me to DTD more often, not helpful. And DH is only mildly interested in discussing cycles and symptoms. Anybody else feeling as lost as me? I naively presumed my AF would maybe be a week or so late, so this has taken me by surprise.

Are you tracking @RLO2402 that might help to know if you are reaching peak or ovulation as you will ovulate before your first period returns. Not quite the same but my periods haven't returned as I'm breast feeding and I am desperate for them too as I want baby no2 x

Sorry I’ve been absent, decided to try and keep myself busy - during this time AF arrived. Bang on 28 days after coming off the pill, I was of course not happy to see her but happy too as I know my cycle is back to normal. I was on for 7 days, off today so hoping this month is the one!

Hi Girls, it's been hectic here with kids at home and working. This month I'm avoiding getting pregnant so opk testing to avoid a bfp! We have our summer holiday re booked for November so we've stopped ttc until May onwards. Still wanted to share my peak tho, it's exact same cd as last month so cycles are looking good and regular. Hope your all ok xxxx

You could try Agnus castus perhaps? I've heard of people doing they before to help get regular.

Hope everyone is doing ok. I'm waiting for AF to arrive now so I can start again. Due on tomorrow but no sign yet.

@Grace185 I was using some cheapies from Poundland but I've just tested with a FRER and nothing - so pretty sure I'm not. Just waiting for af still!!

@mrssunshinexxx - ive just bought some ovulation tests to start tracking so definitely going to give that a go. Im such a control freak, so anything to give me a bit more of a clue as to whats going on 🤞🏼

AF now 2 days late if I ovulated on time which we know I didn't because of the tests. I think the only way I can be pregnant is if I ovulated really late, as in Friday/Saturday just gone. I'm gonna give it until Sunday/Monday then I have some first response tests...maybe I'll wait until Tuesday/Wednesday to be super safe.
