Anyone else first month ttc?

Hi guys.

I’m new here, I’m 29 (30 in May) and my boyfriend is the same. We had decided to start ttc in June time 2021 but over Christmas we both decided to ‘roll the dice’ once before and started having unprotected sex this month. I came off the pill in October time as I didn’t get on with it AT ALL.

I use Clue but only had two afs before this cycle so not sure how long my cycle actually is. We dtd most days over when the app said I was most fertile and it aligned with the cm too. I’m dry not (tmi) so I assume I’m passed it now!

With a 30 day cycle I had last month I’m due af on the 22nd but with and 35 day one (which I used to have before the pill I’d be ov around today but cm isn’t having that, well dtd anyway just in case. Then wouldn’t except af until the 27th. I’m willing it not to arrive and have decided to not even contemplate a test until the end of the month if af hasn’t arrived.

Just wondered who else is trying and in the first few months? I can’t help but reading everything I can find about early signs and feel like when we start trying properly in the few months I might go crazy!!

How are you finding it?

Morning :-) it was flashing again. I was expecting to ovulate 6 days ago now. Only thing I can think is that I had my smear on 19th, no idea if that can affect your cycle but that's the only thing I can think. The only time my cycle has been longer than 33-35 days is usually when I've been dieting and taken it a little too far which I'm definitely not doing at the moment.

How are we all doing?

Still no sign? How frustrating!

I was flashing again this morning. So that's 7 days in a row now. Expect I will get to the maximum 9.

I've felt like I can feel AF coming all day today which is weird....!

That's irritating @lucea87 I had 5 flashy smileys last month then gave up and just dtd as I thought I could feel ovulation I mentioned to my gp friend and she said the flashing days are basically pointless but if that's the case why isn't there just static and solid smile ??
I've got a call with the gp tomorrow to discuss the effects of breastfeeding and TTC I really hope I'm just having one dodgy month then I'll go back to like clockwork and conceive a little sibling flr my little girly

So my LH surge was Sunday.. Had baby danced Sunday night and Monday night. Is it safe to have a day off today 😂 working super late.. So if not ill have to get hubby to wait up! Lol! Xxxx

Morning girls hope you're all ok. I'm about to drag myself up to go test. I did my maths wrong. Today will be day 9 of flashy if it's flashy today. It will be. I've got a few solutions...

1. I didn't ovulate
2. I did 2 tests late as I forgot first thing so missed it
3. I ovulated early & will come on today
4. I've not ovulated yet and will ovulate today.....!!!

Think next cycle I'll keep testing but DTD every other day for 2 weeks if we can. My OH starts a new job on 15th though after 3 months off after being made redundant so he's gonna be knackered.....!

So I spoke to the doctor she basically said the bleeds I have had the last 6 months are withdrawal bleeds not periods and that I'm very unlikely to get pregnant whilst still breastfeeding as much as I am. Feel really sad as nothing I can do I don't want to stop BF

I wanted to feed her until she's 2 as I've researched a lot and factually it's really really good for them. @lucea87 is this your first month TTC I wonder why you haven't ovulated ?

I think/hope I have but missed it because of doing 2 tests later in the day because I forgot. First month this month yes. Cross everything for me next month!!

Hi ladies can I join? Finally joined MN after a long time lurking.

It's our first month of TTC our first. I told myself I'd be super chilled about it... haha... period due this week and I am counting the hours and days and analysing every symptom!!

Not sure if it will be hard for us - sometimes I feel a bit old at 34 almost 35, and DH 37! I'm not the fittest of people and although trying to look after myself I am overweight.

It's such a crazy ride already. Trying to relax though (at least externally )

I will @lucea87 x I managed to not feed the baby through the night last night for the first time so if I can carry on and wean her overnight I have spoke to a few people whose periods came back once they did this 🤞

Oh no sorry to hear that @mrssunshinexxx but agree with @lucea87 that there’s no harming in having fun and seeing :)

@mrssunshinexxx hi thank you :) no we haven't been properly tracking this month it's been more a "let's see what happens". I use the Clue app to track my cycles so can sort of see when I'm ovulating roughly but may start tracking properly with ovulation sticks from next month.

See how it goes and how relaxed you want to be @pixiedust21 I started off just using an app like that and going off their predictions but they were out by about 6 days when I started using opks !

Is anyone testing soon? Maybe we should keep a record of who is testing when?! I've seen people do that before on threads. I didn't do an ovulation test today after the 9 flashys but I am now all set for next cycle!

@lucea87 I'm testing Saturday assuming AF doesn't arrive by then! Anxious few days wait!
