Anyone else first month ttc?

Hi guys.

I’m new here, I’m 29 (30 in May) and my boyfriend is the same. We had decided to start ttc in June time 2021 but over Christmas we both decided to ‘roll the dice’ once before and started having unprotected sex this month. I came off the pill in October time as I didn’t get on with it AT ALL.

I use Clue but only had two afs before this cycle so not sure how long my cycle actually is. We dtd most days over when the app said I was most fertile and it aligned with the cm too. I’m dry not (tmi) so I assume I’m passed it now!

With a 30 day cycle I had last month I’m due af on the 22nd but with and 35 day one (which I used to have before the pill I’d be ov around today but cm isn’t having that, well dtd anyway just in case. Then wouldn’t except af until the 27th. I’m willing it not to arrive and have decided to not even contemplate a test until the end of the month if af hasn’t arrived.

Just wondered who else is trying and in the first few months? I can’t help but reading everything I can find about early signs and feel like when we start trying properly in the few months I might go crazy!!

How are you finding it?

@lucea87 I would do today then skip a day it's unlikely you will go to static tomorrow. Bet you are pleased to see the flashy! ( I had 5 days of it)

So relieved! I have had a lot of concerns (for no reason!) that something would be wrong so was worrying that I wasn't ovulating. So this has put my mind at ease. OH is very up for it later, he is v annoyed I fell asleep last night lol but I say it's great timing....!
(He's not really annoyed just joking)

Morning all, just wanted to ask a question. I’m expecting my first period after being on the pill for 10 years so not sure what to expect... I’ve been experiencing PMS since the day I ovulated and it’s not easing up. My boobs are so tender today, I’m currently 5dpo and not really due til around 3rd feb. Just wondered if it’s “normal” to get these symptoms so long before my period is due. X

Just tested and bfn boooo so 99% sure that's me out af due tomorrow latest x

I’m due Wednesday, hormones all over the place have had my second cry for no real reason in the last week! Bought some tests today so will do one in the morning and see what happens. Would love it to be positive but have a feeling it won’t do trying not to get my hopes but also then googling and seeing what the due date would be if it was. Feeling all the feelings at the moment! 😬

I like your optimism @Glenpatrick but with AF due tomorrow I would be very very surprised with no line today. Although they are v cheap ones !

No testing for me for a couple of weeks yet.

We DTD last night, flashing again today so will DTD tomorrow too. Will test 14 days after static smiley!

@mrssunshinexxx Sorry to hear your test was negative :( best of luck for next cycle. I am only 4dpo today so a while to wait until I can test. Going to try to hold out until 14dpo

Are you still just using the cheapie tests? You never know, fingers crossed x

Yeh I am @lucea87 I've never used them before they were 79p for 3 so don't know how reliable they are but would expect a line by now if I was x

Keep us posted. So strange. I have sporadic cycles every now and then, once I went around 60 days I think. Took a bunch of tests, all negative, doctors told me to stop taking the medication I was on at the time just in case (but wouldn't do a blood test...!) and then I came on on Christmas Day.

I'm gonna need strong coffee today. Had a terrible nights sleep, and have a feeling I will get my static smiley today, want to DTD either way tonight.

Have you done your opk with first morning wee ? I have a different test to try today but I googled and it says save wee for Atleast 4 hours and I went for a wee at 5am grr would of liked to do with overnight wee @lucea87
Oh that's annoying I have always been super regular so if it doesn't come soon I will be stressing

@mrssunshinexxx do you think you’ll test today or wait until tomorrow morning? I’m sure with you being late it would show on a good test?

@Grace185 tested again BFN I'm defo not pregnant but I've never not had a period by 30 days so now I'm paranoid that breast feeding is going to stop me getting pregnant or something

@Grace185 my periods have always been really regular when I came off contraception to TTC last time they stayed exactly the same and I had been on it 12 years !
After I had LO I went back on it when she was 6 weeks old because we were having sex my periods returned straight away and have been regular for the last 5 months I stopped taking it again last month
I was cramping with headaches on Friday and sat and was sure AF was coming I just wish it would now so I can get on with the next cycle

Forgot to do my ovulation test this morning. Numpty. It says wait 4 hours between and don't have excessive fluids, I'm not good at that....!! Not sure what to do, I guess I'll wait as long as I can this morning and then do it.

@lucea87 yeah just hold urine for 4 hours if you can x
