Anyone else first month ttc?

Hi guys.

I’m new here, I’m 29 (30 in May) and my boyfriend is the same. We had decided to start ttc in June time 2021 but over Christmas we both decided to ‘roll the dice’ once before and started having unprotected sex this month. I came off the pill in October time as I didn’t get on with it AT ALL.

I use Clue but only had two afs before this cycle so not sure how long my cycle actually is. We dtd most days over when the app said I was most fertile and it aligned with the cm too. I’m dry not (tmi) so I assume I’m passed it now!

With a 30 day cycle I had last month I’m due af on the 22nd but with and 35 day one (which I used to have before the pill I’d be ov around today but cm isn’t having that, well dtd anyway just in case. Then wouldn’t except af until the 27th. I’m willing it not to arrive and have decided to not even contemplate a test until the end of the month if af hasn’t arrived.

Just wondered who else is trying and in the first few months? I can’t help but reading everything I can find about early signs and feel like when we start trying properly in the few months I might go crazy!!

How are you finding it?

@marcella64 were doing one more cycle and then naught wait until the summer. Sounds like a great holiday you’ve got booked :)

@Grace185 I already have a December baby, and we don't want to miss the holiday. It's 12 of our family including the kids... we have a huge private villa hired, can't wait. I'd love a March/April/May baby. Can't chose I know but we can try! Xx

AF has just arrived, bang on predictions tho. 31 day cycle, 14 day luteal phase. I've been taking vitamin b and it's helped with sore boob symptoms so I'll take that as a win for this month.

@marcella64 sorry af arrived, it’s shot isn’t it! That sounds like a great holiday! Yeah we’ll try this time for a November baby and then we’ll have a break until June in hope of a March onwards baby :)

@Grace185 @marcella64 I thought I'd be the only one to skip March if jan and feb don't work 🙈 we'll pick back up in April though as I don't mind Jan baby - I'm one myself!

@Hallie91 haha yeah I didn’t thought about it until oh said and he’s pretty keen on having March onward. I know we can’t be sure it’ll happen quickly so maybe I can talk him into trying for a feb baby :)

Ah rubbish. Sorry.

@Grace185 yeh March is a lovely time. My first is spring baby and it was great getting to go on so many walks with the pram in nice weather.

I wanted to wait to try for another spring baby too but OH didn't want to wait and got me all excited 🙈😂

@Hallie91 yeah that sounds nice. I don’t really want to wait so hoping a November baby comes along haha.

@Hallie91 I think I'd rather have a winter baby than be heavily pregnant in a heatwave ever again! I have a winter and summer but defo agree spring is lovely to get out with the pushchair. Xx

So a friend of mine has just announced her pregnancy on a call, it is a strange feeling knowing you want that too! I’m so happy for her though :)

My dream due month was June.. actually got it then .. bam covid happened so all the reasons I wanted a June baby were pointless but hopefully only for the first year x

Well, I am off poas again....if it's an empty circle again I'm gonna cry. However, we have both been so knackered the last few days we haven't made any attempt at trying anyway. Both fell asleep on the sofa last night so it's probably good that I'm not fertile yet!!

Have you had a period since coming off contraception?

I've been off the pill for almost 10 years and my cycles have been regular at 33-35 days for years too. I have the odd cycle where I might go to 40 days but very rare. I'm CD19 now so was expecting to see high starting now and expecting to ovulate on Tuesday but perhaps not. Will keep testing!

Cd13 for me today and I usually get peaks around 13 to 15 so hopefully this is my window but like you @lucea87 I am just so bloody tired all the time by the time evening comes I just cba 🙈🙈 I'm rubbish at this ttc first month and cba to move....I think being 37 and having a 7 year old is my reason

Cd13 for me and still no peak, test line has been slightly darker in the past few evenings (morning tests are paler) than earlier in the cycle but def not positive yet :(

Least the contraception is well out your system @lucea87 cd 19 seems to be getting later but hopefully it happens soon are you using clear blue or cheapies ?

@universal83 I have a 6month old who is still up about 3 times in the night I really have to make the effort 😂

Well no sign of AF yet I'm quite surprised with all the cramps it squally comes first thing in the morning so if doesn't come tomorrow morn I might get a little bit excited
