Anyone else first month ttc?

Hi guys.

I’m new here, I’m 29 (30 in May) and my boyfriend is the same. We had decided to start ttc in June time 2021 but over Christmas we both decided to ‘roll the dice’ once before and started having unprotected sex this month. I came off the pill in October time as I didn’t get on with it AT ALL.

I use Clue but only had two afs before this cycle so not sure how long my cycle actually is. We dtd most days over when the app said I was most fertile and it aligned with the cm too. I’m dry not (tmi) so I assume I’m passed it now!

With a 30 day cycle I had last month I’m due af on the 22nd but with and 35 day one (which I used to have before the pill I’d be ov around today but cm isn’t having that, well dtd anyway just in case. Then wouldn’t except af until the 27th. I’m willing it not to arrive and have decided to not even contemplate a test until the end of the month if af hasn’t arrived.

Just wondered who else is trying and in the first few months? I can’t help but reading everything I can find about early signs and feel like when we start trying properly in the few months I might go crazy!!

How are you finding it?

Yes I think I've read that too, every other day it is then!

Another blank circle for me this morning. I'm so confused....! Glad I'm testing though.

@Grace185 hope your ok but positive thing is, your periods are back! Good luck for this cycle.

Still no sign of AF for me but I’ve been having left lower pelvic twinges, moody, sore majorly erect nipples, lower dull back ache and headaches. But CM still quite water, turning creamy and a fair bit of it. Only came off the pill just over 2 weeks ago but feel like definitely ovulated around 20th. AF due in around 2nd feb so we shall see! X

@lucea87 I started testing with the clearblue dual hormone opks on cd7, had 4 days of blank circle, then 8 days (!) of flashing smiley before finally getting my peak on the evening of the 8th day. Hang in there, it does work (I was doing cheapie OPKs and got my solid smiley on the same day that I got my peak on the cheapies) but it can be a bit frustrating.

@Grace185 Sorry to hear that this wasn't your month, but fingers crossed for February!

I finally got my LH surge (and clearblue solid smiley!) the day before yesterday, and had left sided jabby pelvic pains yesterday so I think I might have ovulated yesterday. We dtd on ovulation day and the 2 preceding days so hopefully covered. Now for the two week wait, need to find ways of distracting myself so I don't obsess too much .

@leigha22 When are you planning on testing? I think I am going to try to wait the full 14 dpo before testing but we shall see if I can hold out

Hi, this is my first time ever posting on here and I'm trying to get to grips with all the abbreviations so apologies if I get it wrong😅 I'm ttc baby no3 and I'm lucky enough to have a 14 he old ds and a 12 yr old dd! I'm 39 and fell pregnant first time with my first two. This is our first cycle of ttc but I know it'll take longer because of my age and I'm slightly overweight now compared to when I was in my early twenties! I have short cycles now, 21/22 days and I'm on cd11. I would so love to be pregnant again before I'm 40! Hoping everyone gets a bfp this cycle XXX 😘

Thanks everyone! Yeah at least I know I’m around 30d cycles now :) feeling a bit sorry for myself today mostly for the cramps!! OH was saying it just means we get more sexy time haha. I’m mentally fine about it, just hating af pains today haha!

Thank you @Grace185 I'm just using apps atm, didn't have any of this when I was in my twenties! My dd is having to show me 😅 she's v excited at the thought of being a big sister! She just needs to leave me alone enough now to DTD! 🤣 I just want to try and not get upset and stressed about it and enjoy feeling closer to my husband and if it happens then I'm v blessed! XXX

@pbdr yayyyy hopefully your covered, similar situation to us really. We did DTD 18th and 19th then believe I ovulated 20th so fingers crossed for us both. I have a early response test so I may do that next weekend or try and hold out til after 2nd? Not sure! I think I’ll see how these symptoms go. When will you test? X

Me today is meant to be trying day as ovulating this weekend. First month and terrified. I'm 37 with a 7 year old but all this covid malarkey is stressing me out. I fell first try when I was 29 with my son but know it will probably take a few goes at 37

Hoping I get my flashy tomorrow. I'm CD18 now so I'm halfway through....I was expecting to ovulate in 2 days. Not sure if I should be worried but will keep going. I've only been using them once a day, wondering if I should get some cheapies too.

I honestly haven’t a clue 🙈 I downloaded the flo app so I know when I need to have as much fun as possible. So 7th to the 17th February is my best chance x

I've got Premom too as I'd planned to test with OPKs as the apps aren't too accurate apparently but they haven't arrived for this cycle 😫 I'm not due AF until 6th feb🤞

@Hallie91 oh I haven’t heard of glow. I’ll download it. I’m not testing for ovulation I think I’d drive myself crazy x

@mrssunshinexxx I've had little ones on n off today. Due AF today, bfn yesterday. Think we are going to hold off ttc till the summer now, our Barbados holiday has been moved to November xx
