First month TTC

Hi ladies,

I’m new to this and would really appreciate your help. This is my first month TTC. I’m currently on CD4 so still middle of my period. Just wondering what helped you all conceive in your first month of trying and any tips you have. I have clearblue OPK ready and have been tracking my cycles for a which vary from 27-34 day cycles with 2 random 45 day cycles one of them being my last cycle.

Anyone else TTC this month?

@Aubyone I don’t drink alcohol or coffee anyway so that’s a bonus hey! I weight train (well pre lockdown) so usually I would drink caffiene energy/protein drinks before hand to wake me up. I have cut those out and I definitely noticed my energy drop but after three days I was fine and have no issues not going back to them 😊

@fieldview @eaststreet My OH stayed quiet for a bit and now is asking when our sex weeks are 🤣

@Aubyone I don't tend to drink a lot of alcohol anyway and tbh figured that if I fancied something I would but I always only have one glass anyway. Not going to stress over it. (Probably the only thing I can say that about) Also not a huge fan of coffee so again I rarely have any maybe 2 over the week.

@RadDarwazeh I was looking at the Clearblue was as well but just not sure. So let us know how it goes if AF does arrive this month.

Dinner I think we're having Mushroom truffle pasta! Cannot wait to eat it. I have only really been fancying chicken, mushrooms, eggs and pasta.

@Dixie1488 sex weeks 🤣🤣! My OH hasn’t grasped the concept of the fertile window yet and still thinks we need to be doing it all the time 🙄

I have never bother with OPKs. We have always gone into TTC with a bit of a ‘let’s see what happens’ attitude, although admittedly, I have also roughly calculated when my fertile stage will be, and had lots of sex around the time there is lots of CM. We conceived DC1 on cycle 3 and DC2 on cycle 1. Just found out that I am expecting DC3 and will have conceived during cycle 3. I think, to start with at least, there is a lot to be said for being relaxed and just enjoying the sex.

@Eaststreet 😂 He knows I will not be up for it for the rest of the cycle after all that sex! Christ we usually only do it once per week or so 🙈 😂

I love the concept of sex weeks haha 😂. I understand though, when you're trying to catch the fertile window.

I'm peeing loads today. Wondering if that's a symptom. Maybe too early though xx

Oh could be? I’ve heard it can be a symptom🤞 😊 I pee all the time anyway so I don’t think that one would apply to me haha

On the subject of drink alterations, I'm not a massive drinker but will definitely crack a bottle of white open if AF arrives. Biiiiig tea drinker though and I'm trying to drink more caffeine free tea than I am with caffeine.

I think that's why I'm so tired all the time this week!

Either that or it's the crazy erotic dreams I've had. Googled it to see whether it's a symptom but apparently not 🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyone else had this?

@Grace185 14 dpo, AF due today. I was expecting an obvious negative so I didn't bother with an expensive one, better get to tesco tonight

My AF arrived this morning girls so I'm out for this month however I'm not disappointed as I knew we didn't try properly last month 😊 so it's no surprise and I feel fine about it 😊

@Eaststreet 🙋🏻‍♀️ I'm still waiting! AF due Monday or Tuesday (depending on which app I look at). Having a 33+ day cycle is driving me nuts!
