Hehe @HerringGull I really can't wait to get started making my home my own. I'd have to share pics with you to get some of your ideas as you must be a pro now! The garden of the new house is on a hill and I'd love to get rid of the steps going down into the garden and create something safer.
Will you be be doing your own foundations 😱 Is that what the digger is for?? Could you hire a single pro to work alongside you? So at least you're not paying for a whole team?

Definitely not a pro! I love looking at other people's houses though, it's so interesting.

Yes, doing own founds. It is basically just digging holes in the right places and then filling them with concrete and layers of other stuff. I would not dare do anything like this on my own, but DH knows quite a bit. I'm constantly amazed though at how much of it is just common sense though. We will hire pros for like the blockwork in the walls and a couple of other things which would take us a LOT of trial and error, millions of time, and we'd probably still end up with wonky walls!

Woooow! So brave and very impressive. Yes, it probably is common sense but the prospect of doing all that work seems very daunting. If you successfully manage this would you make a profession out of it? Buying run down houses and flipping them for a profit?

I’ve just joined the new house crew too! Mine has an offer and my offer was accepted, so @HerringGull you might have to give me digger tips as I’ve bought a complete hole... it’s a big year for all of us by the sounds!

Oh @Cc7750 that's great news! Want to describe it to us? I love hearing about houses! What kind of work will you need to do on it?

It’s a state ladies. Currently a 4 bed semi but in two flats so they entire place needs to be brought back together. The roof needs to come down as it’s falling down! Roof extension, back extension, driveway, I suspect the house is riddled with damp so I think it needs proofing. And a total rewire and new heating system. About 6 months of solid work I’d go for ha! I’ll be at my mums with my cats who are going to hate me!

@Cc7750 That sounds like a lot of work! Wooow!! But I'm sure the end result will be so rewarding! Also, this way, you can put your own personal stamp on it, which is perfect! Good luck with it!

Yeah that's the best thing about total renovation - you can make it exactly as you like it. Very exciting but sounds like a heck of a lot of work - right back to the walls really eh. Good on you!

I'm cd12 today. Just using opk without temping this month, so expecting my smiley face any day now! Off the alcohol this month too to see if it helps.

@Pudding01 🙈🙈🙈 it really does feel like that, doesn't it?? I hope it happens for all of us at the same time so no one is left standing.

I took a more relaxed approached to OPKs this cycle. Started on CD12, peaked on CD13, ovulated on CD14 and then that was me done. If you can pinpoint your ovulation window then you can avoid the stress of peeing on OPKs for days on end. But it is risky if you ovulate early and miss it!!
Good luck with the no alcohol! Where will you be in your cycle during Valentine's Day? Probably in your TWW?

I'm doing ok. I've held back on symptom spotting during my previous cycles but this month I want to go all out and drive myself crazy 😂😂😂

@LAgeDeRaisin Aw chin up! This whole baby making malarkey really is the pits 😂 I completely get how you're feeling. I actually almost gave up on DTD at the beginning of this cycle's fertile window. Couldn't face anymore disappointment but I persevered! Our time will come, as hard as that is to believe 💕💕 hopefully what you have is just a cold and nothing more!

@HerringGull congratulations My lovely! I’m so sorry to hear about your baby, it really must be such mixed emotions- sending lots of love! Are you feeling okay at the mo? Can’t believe you’re doing your own digging etc - so brave! My DH likes to think he can do handy things but in reality it takes him 6 hours to build a swing set hahaha so not sure we’ll ever be doing our own renovation 🤣 although I love the idea- very jealous you can make everything exactly as you want!! Same for you @Cc7750 you’ll have exactly what you want by the end of it ☺️ How exciting!!!!

Been feeling pretty hideous for a few weeks but managing. Forcing myself to eat so I have some energy for my toddler! Haven’t got a date for my scan yet but think it will be in a few weeks!

@Cc7750 yes, I enjoyed TRYING to drive a digger too and like you, I won't be going anywhere near our house! I'd put a hole straight through the window. The digger is really old too and the controls are really loose and a bit wild. I am very happy that DH likes driving it that's for sure!

@EllyNC yep, am fine at the moment, thanks Trying not to think about everything too much, but just getting on with work (or skiving on here actually) and other dull but necessary stuff!

@LAgeDeRaisin isn't the cold/sniffles one of the early symptoms of preg? If all your friends/family also have it perhaps it's a coincidence, but if just you it could possibly be a sign... I hope you're still feeling chilled out, whatever the result of your test this morning x
