Lots of threads about TTC baby #1 so looking for someone baby #2 support!

If so how old is your current DC and what made you realise it was the right time?

DD has just turned 1 and we are thinking about #2 very soon! DD took 14 months to conceive so I’m prepared for another long slog...although a bit panicky that it could happen sooner! Am also still shifting some baby weight that clung on nicely during both lockdowns

Anyone else?

I only dtd before ovulation this time and with my lo and conceived both times @Jellybean023 you are in with a great chance

I was wondering if anyone experienced spotting/bleeding throughout their cycle? I’ve been getting it around the middle of my cycle (proper red blood not just brown spotting) as well as in the run up to af. I’ve had every test under the sun and there is nothing sinister at play and my on/gyn doesn’t seem concerned. She just keeps telling me to have another baby and it will sort itself out! 🤬🤬🤬 I mean, how is that helpful? If I could, I would. Incidentally she also said that to me before I had my first baby and it didn’t improve, if anything it got worse. Anyhoo.... I was wondering if anyone had had a similar experience and if so, what it turned out to be? Makes me think it’s something hormonal at play but so far my bloods have come back fairly normal

@Rockape1992 hi! No I'm sorry I've not experienced it. That sounds so frustrating & agree seems a silly thing to say in that getting pregnant will sort it out!! Xx

Well day 13 and got my flashing smiley face, will dtd tonight when hubby back from work, shall I now dtd every other day for 4 days?

Dtd every other day until your STATIC face disappears off the holder (it stays on for about 48 hours ) @LoopeyK x

Thank you, so I have about 4 days total don't I? I really hope this works as I haven't used these before and don't usually know exactly when ovulating so think we have missed it in previous months.
I've been doing OPK'S since day 7 so it's nice to get that flashing face 🙂
My tracker I've been following is wrong too as it naturally said I would ovulate tomorrow as that's 14 days from period,

I think it depends on your cycle and hormone levels for how many days you'll have flashing smiley - mine was 7 days of flashing before I had a static, and I've seen threads of longer. But yeah keep dtd every other day and hopefully you'll catch the right days

@LoopeyK every other day will be plenty and not put too much stress on it hopefully. You might get more than 4 days they promise 4 days minimum of high fertility x

Great thanks so much, I kind of knew I was starting to ovulate as my discharge was really thick this morning sorry TMI.
Fingers crossed we get the right window this month, it's the 12th month of trying without opks just a tracker but that bases it on 28day cycle and mines never the same, always ranges between 26-30 🤞

I caved and tested - BFP! Good line for 9dpo too. Will hold off and test again once af is due

This is the first month I’ve used OPKs and this morning (CD 13) I got the static smiley, does this mean I ovulate tomorrow?

@DinkyGT I started using opks last month, only cheap ones though, I just wanted to know when I ovulate as I think we were losing momentum at DTD probably about the time when we needed to the most, plus my cycles seem to vary in length so couldn't judge when I was going to ovulate. Temping wouldn't work for me, I'm not consistent with when I get up and wouldn't remember to do it straight away. So probably depends if you think you are getting a accurate picture of when your ovulating from how you are currently tracking.

There's been so much activity on here and I've had some hectic days at work so struggling to keep up with everything that is happening!!
