Lots of threads about TTC baby #1 so looking for someone baby #2 support!

If so how old is your current DC and what made you realise it was the right time?

DD has just turned 1 and we are thinking about #2 very soon! DD took 14 months to conceive so I’m prepared for another long slog...although a bit panicky that it could happen sooner! Am also still shifting some baby weight that clung on nicely during both lockdowns

Anyone else?

@mrssunshinexxx @Mybobowler ladies! Help! This is the first place I’ve come...

So I just took another test and got this....as I being stupid or is that a line?! It’s got a hint of pink in real life but really hard to capture on camera because it’s so faint.

BUT I don’t want to get my hopes up because two reasons: I’m now 14dpo and wouldn’t my line be darker also...I checked the back of the bloody test and it’s only got an expiry date!! Which it’s passed!!! Do you think it’s a false pos??

I don't know what to think.

@mamaatthegym I can defo see a line & that it's slightly pink. I didn't get a positive test until I was 6 days over with my first so I don't think you need to be worried about it being not very dark. Not sure about the expiry date and if it can give false positives if out of date so I don't think I would trust it fully until I tried with another test that was in date. You got anymore? Or can you get one for tomorrow morning? Fingers crossed it is a positive for you!!

I wouldn't say that's a faint line but at 14dpo I would expect stronger perhaps. Are you sure you ovulated 14 days ago or could it of been later ? @mamaatthegym

@May2311 @mrssunshinexxx ok update...the test hasn’t expired! It was another bath that had expired. This is a new batch...which then got me thinking what if it’s a faulty batch!

So tested again with some water from the tap and it’s was a BFN. (Luck attached, top is from the tap water lol and bottom is mine)

It’s massively faded since I posted though and can almost barely make it out anymore.

I am almost certain when I O’d because I did OPKs however could always have been 24-48 hours after, I didn’t bother testing again once I’d got my peak. There’s a chance I could actually only be 12-13DPO today I suppose xx

I think I will wait and see if AF shows up tomorrow then I’ll know if it’s meant to be.

Sorry so many spelling mistakes in there I’m frantically typing haha xx

@mamaatthegym oooh how exciting! With DD, I got a real squinter at 12DPO, I needed an FRER to see it properly and even then the line was super thin. Can you get any early tests?? Fingers crossed for you!

Well I definitely ovulated this morning and dh went to bed early tonight not feeling well I feel disappointed as was hoping to dtd even though we did last night I hope it was enough

@mrssunshinexxx @Mybobowler AF due tomorrow. I will pop out tomorrow and stock up on FRERs and Digis. Don’t think I’ll sleep very well tonight haha x

Ah @mrssunshinexxx that’s annoying, my DH has come down with the dreaded man flu too so obvs full sympathy is now required 🤦‍♀️ Hopefully last nights BD has covered you though!

@mamaatthegym I can definitely see that line! Hopefully another test will give you a nice clear bold BFP

Tested again with 4 hour hold (resistance is well and truly out of the window) and got this, definitely stronger than earlier but still faint for day before AF. It’s made me feel a bit better that it’s stronger than earlier though.

DD just woke up so I changed her nappy and gave her a bottle and I just sat staring at her falling back to sleep in my arms and almost cried now that I know it’s definitely a BFP I’m praying it sticks xx

@May2311 @mrssunshinexxx @Nobeautysleep @Mybobowler did another internet cheapie this morning with FMU and it’s even fainter than yesterday’s one so not looking good for me at the moment AF due today so we’ll see if she stays away.

Will get some better tests later! I saved my FMU. New levels of crazy haha xx

Pic attached. You’d expect a much stronger line even on a cheapie for day of AF?

I can't see anything on that one  @mamaatthegym are these ones defo in date ? Agree if you get a frer it will be conclusive x

@mrssunshinexxx yeah they’re all from the same batch these ones, it’s there but it’s so faint it may as well be a BFN. Ughh this is really annoying I don’t even want to go out and get the tests anymore because I kind of just know already what the outcome is and don’t want to see more positive tests only to be disappointed.

Just did another one with diluted wee and it’s the same so I don’t think that was a bad test.

Oh well.

Hmm it's so hard isn't it it's like you would rather af just come than be in limbo ! @mamaatthegym do you think you could wait another 48 hours ? X

@mrssunshinexxx yeah I think I’m just going to wait to be honest! If AF doesn’t come in a couple of days then I will get the better tests.

Told OH as well last night before bed and he told me he was so happy!

@mamaatthegym try not to be too disappointed it could just be early days. If your due on today see if AF arrives. Definitely get better tests as not sure how reliable the cheap ones are. I suppose if you do re test today with a better brand and it is negative you have more clarity! I have my fingers crossed for you! Last nights test does show a decent line with colour 😘
