Hey!

Want to get a group of ladies who are TTC at the same time to have someone to chat to during this journey together. It's a lonely process for me and only
In early stages of trying but would love advice, tips and general chat. This is an open chat and can't wait to chat to you all

@apwilso I am so sorry to hear AF has arrived 😔 take some time for yourself and treat yourself. I have never tried smep but want to give it anything a shot x

Lozza85 · 07/12/2020 17:44

Sorry you're out this cycle @apwilso, 🤞 for the next one.

I've tried smep this cycle, af due in 6 days. Not really any sign of anything yet but trying not to symptom spot. Keep telling myself I'd only just be implanting now!

apwilso · 07/12/2020 17:55

@1992EM might as well try everything! Yeah pretty gutted. Especially when I feel like I've sacrificed a lot! But can only keep trying.

@Lozza85 thank you! Symptom spotting is the worst!

@Lozza85 aww good luck 💕 tww is the worst.
@apwilso ttc is hard. It is both physically and emotionally draining. I just remind myself it is normally for it to not happen straight away. You will get there and get that BFP. I think it is hard to see people announcing pregnancy and having babies but nobody knows their journey and how long it took them etc. TTC is such an isolating experience . That is why places like this are good to share your concerns etc as everyone is going through the same or similar experiences 💕 take care of yourself 💕xxx

apwilso · 07/12/2020 21:37

@1992EM I'm very grateful to have this chat and feel like I can speak about anything and everything. Best way to get through it!

I hope everyone else is okay x

laura2093 · 08/12/2020 14:13

Hello, any advice welcome! I am 7DPO. Have sore nipples and have had slight/lighter cramps today. No show or anything- in my head I'm not pregnant so I'm hoping and crossing fingers xxx

Tabbycat92 · 09/12/2020 10:41

Hello all! After a month out I am back :) planning to dtd tonight!
I hope some of you have had your BFPs whilst I've been away 🤞
If I am lucky this month I should find out right on Christmas! Xmas Smile

apwilso · 09/12/2020 11:21

@Tabbycat92 welcome back!!!! Fingers crossed for you xxx

@laura2093 I get that but had no positives so I don't what to say yay or nay xx

Sorry haven’t posted this month but thought not focusing on it would help- obviously not!!! AF arrived today so just poured myself a glass of red wine (which is my AF tradition of the last 16 months!)
Onto month 17 now, honestly this is unbelievable, I know friends who have struggled but I wrongly assumed that wouldn’t be me. I’ve had blood tests which are all normal and partner has had sperm test which was fine. Internal scan booked for end of Jan (it was a 4 month wait for that appointment). I looked into privately funding the investigations to speed things up but they are horrendously expensive, there’s just no way we can afford it.
I’m 36 (and a half), this is the first time TTC, would’ve done it earlier but didn’t meet my partner until I was 34 (we started trying 6 months after meeting, at the time I thought it was too soon but thank god we did!). It’s so depressing. Also I don’t want to be around any of my pregnant friends/those with young children and I’m grateful to have lockdown/tiers as an excuse. Ugh. So sorry for the rant. Fed up!!!

apwilso · 09/12/2020 20:25

@Misty84 that sounds like a great tradition. We've just got Prosecco from work and I'm tempted to have one I'm currently battling the AF. Least there's a positive that everything looks fine! It's a shame how expensive everything is. Me and my boyfriend haven't been together long after deciding we wanted to try but we're the same we're glad we have cos it's not as easy as we thought I'm 25 and he's 31. I feel like it's winding me up being disappointed so I want a bit of a blow out. I'm annoyed didn't drink basically
The whole of last cycle and still didn't work so gonna treat myself next weekend!

Haven’t posted in a while we’ve had so much going on. Good news is we are buying our first house. Bad news is we still aren’t pregnant 😢 we’ve only been trying 2 months but feels like a lifetime I feel so sorry for people who have been trying for months

To make things worse I’ve found out the little 15 year old s*lt (sorry not sorry) who lives opposite us is pregnant today 🤬 and I saw two pregnancy announcements on Instagram tonight so I’m fit to burst

@apwilso @Misty84nyou have me worried now about my partners age. I’m 23 but he is 41 he’s fit and healthy and in a healthy weight bracket but I’m worried now we are never going to have a baby because of his age. I’m such a worrier and get stressed over the smallest things.

How’s everyone else doing in this group? Xx

Misty84 · 09/12/2020 22:38

@Dex1521 you’ve only been trying 2 months?! You shouldn’t be going crazy this early on!! It’s totally normal to not get pregnant straight away.

@apwilso I get you, I didn’t drink at all for 3 months as thought it might be the miracle solution but all it did was deprive me of something fun/ helps relax me! Everything in moderation is key :) Only had 2 glasses tonight to take the edge of the AF disappointment! Hope you cracked into the Prosecco xx

1992EM · 10/12/2020 16:44

I hope everyone is well. I think I have peaked early. I am not due to ovulate until the weekend but had a positive opk yesterday and it is low again today this will mean I will have a 28 days cycle which is very unusual for me. We have been doing smep but didn't dtd last night as it was the night off now feel we might have missed our chance. Will dtd tonight and tomorrow so hopefully will be OK x

Lozza85 · 10/12/2020 19:08

Ok ladies - advice please! I'm on CD 25 of 28-30 and 11dpo. I noticed a couple of tiny (and I mean tiny, if I hadn't been obsessively checking I'd have missed them) brown spots when I wiped. What do you think, chance of implantation or early af. I don't normally spot before af and had a bit of nausea this morning but no other identifiable symptoms. I was going to wait to test until and if I got past CD30. What would you all do?

@1992EM you're still in with a good chance with smep, dtd tonight and tomorrow. Good luck!

@Dex1521 I know what you mean about going crazy, even when you're new to TTC it all becomes overwhelming and stressful really quickly!

1992EM · 10/12/2020 19:34

@Dex1521 I totally get how you feel. It is hard when you see other people get pregnant but I wouldn't worry too much yet many people take upto a year or more to conceive.
@Lozza85 thank you. I am gutted as was all set and it has completely thrown me now. We will dtd tonight and tomorrow and fingers crossed. I was still positive this more and has dropped now so hopefully will catch it on time. We hadn't even got round to using preseed as I was like i won't peak for ages yet 🙈

apwilso · 11/12/2020 09:29

@Misty84 I will be treating myself this weekend to a cheeky drink!

I'm coming to the end of my AF but she ovulation week if it's like it has been twice before will be Christmas week!

OP posts:
1992EM · 11/12/2020 18:00

@apwilso that will be a fun week for you 🎄🤣

We dtd last night and hopefully tonight too . This means we did it 4 times within the fertile week. Not sure wither to continue doing it every second day or after Sunday stop 🙈 i am still confused by my early ovulation.

apwilso · 13/12/2020 21:56

I'm going no opks this month so I can be relaxed. Bit stressed about that though!

OP posts:
1992EM · 13/12/2020 22:52

@apwilso are you going to try anything else instead ? We tried smep this month along with opks. If I hadn't used opks I would have completely missed my peak but smep every second day would make sure you are covered without doing opks. I am now 3 dpo now at least I will find out before Christmas this way x

LRW26 · 13/12/2020 23:32

I had a little bit of a break from Mumsnet but thought I’d check back in.

Hope everyone is doing okay and hope there has been some BFPs!

I’ve really relaxed this month and although we’ve tried smep it’s been pretty stress free and we’ve just enjoyed DTD. I’ve had a few cheeky gins throughout the month and just not stressed over it all. I used OPKs this month and ovulated a day early this time so glad I did. This is cycle 10 so I’m just keeping my fingers crossed for this month 🤞🏻

@1992EM I’m at the same stage as you again 3 DPO.. we also tried SMEP this month so it says I’ll be due on 24th so probably same as you? Sending you lots of baby dust! X

1992EM · 14/12/2020 00:04

@LRW26 oh that is strange that we both ovulated earlier this month. I am either due 23rd or 24th. We were quite relaxed too and followed smep mostly we missed one day due to work but hopefully have done enough.

apwilso · 14/12/2020 14:03

@1992EM I was going to do smep but truthfully we DTD a lot anyway so I'm sure I'll be covered as my partner has finished for work now so is home every night! I'm a late ovulater at day 19 usually!

@LRW26 glad you've chilled! I'm learning not to cut everything out my life it's not right x

OP posts:
1992EM · 14/12/2020 17:56

@apwilso will be nice to be relaxed , especially over the festive period. x

Tabbycat92 · 14/12/2020 20:54

Hey all 😊 how's everyone doing? I'm 1dpo and oh so crampy. Gotta love the start of the 2ww 😂
