And good luck for your tww @1992EM 🤞 xx

1992EM · 14/11/2020 16:28

@misty84 Thank you. I am glad you are feeling a bit better .

@apwilso I used conceive plus this month. I also have started taking macca root. No idea if either will help but worth a shot.

laura2093 · 14/11/2020 16:57

Hello we have been TTC since April 2020.
I have been getting mid cycle ovulation pains and what I think is peak LH test? Can anyone confirm? Now in my TTW! Hardest time ever.

1992EM · 14/11/2020 18:11

@laura2093 I would say that is a peak . I use the same tests and my peak looked like that then the next day was back to what it was like the day before my peak x

LRW26 · 14/11/2020 23:46

Hi everyone hope you’re all doing ok. Just been catching up on the last messages!

@apwilso so sorry to hear what you went through and frustrating your GP wasn't much help! Hope you and OH are okay! 💞

@1992EM good luck with your TTW!

@Misty84 hope you enjoyed that wine lovely! 💞

@laura2093 I’m using the easy@home OPKs and they’re great because you download the app, scan the tests and it tells you the level so makes it really easy to tell when the peak is!

So this is my first months of using OPKs and they’ve worked quite successfully in telling me when I ovulate.. 2 days later than the app originally said! But now I’m still getting higher levels of LCH than before ovulation (I thought it would’ve dropped back down) and I’m not sure why so here comes the overthinking as I’m now 4 days DPO. Boobs are sore, I’m pretty tired and feeling off food a bit but I just feel like it’s too early to have any symptoms. Has anyone else had similar experience with OPKs? Where after ovulation, it’s still been quite high?

@LRW26 I usually have mixed opks after ovulation sometimes they can be stronger but so long as it isn't a peak result then it is classed as negative. If it is a peak , it could be you had a surge but didn't ovulate the first time and this is when you'll ovulate or closer to AF they do say it can be a sign of pregnancy. I would say at 4dpo you are too early to have implanted . This usually happens between 7dpo to 11dpo and that is why pregnancy tests are as reliable before AF shows as you can't tell when you implant. I am 3dpo so roughly the same time scale. Hopefully both lead to a BFP . I did have a dream last night that on Christmas day I announced I was 9 weeks pregnant and my sil announced she was 3 weeks. I really wish this comes true 🤣. I also worked out this morning if I do get pregnant that is roughly how far along I would be x

Dex1521 · 15/11/2020 08:34

I’m around 4 or 5dpo I think not 100% because of irregular cycles from being on the mini pill 😒 but last night and the night before I’ve been having really vivid dreams which is uncommon for me they’re so vivid it’s like I’m in a movie in my head. I’ve heard this can be an early sign of PG but I’m not sure if it’s just me getting my hopes up. As it’s still very early days. I’ve also had mild cramps and quite bad nausea but not sick during the week which seems to have subsided over the weekend

Do you think this is just unbalanced hormones maybe?

LRW26 · 15/11/2020 10:02

@1992EM ahh right okay well I really do hope we both get our BFP!! These 2 weeks of waiting are just torture 🤣 I’m trying really hard not to get my hopes up this month (same as every month) but it’s just so hard. I was chatting to my OH about a gin I saw in Aldi that looked amazing and he said you can’t buy that incase you’re pregnant this time and I said I’m not going to not do things because of that, incase AF does show up and then I’m even more sad and I also feel like I’m jinxing it. So...I went to Aldi to buy it and they literally had every single other gin other than the one I wanted 🤣 so I thought ‘that must be a sign!!’ Turns out... it’s just really popular 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

1992EM · 15/11/2020 10:41

@dex1521 I have had really vivid dreams the last few days too. I don't no if it is just an increase of hormone due to ovulation though as I am on 3dpo. I try not to believe anything could be pregnancy related because I get my hopes up so much and then feel so disheartened when AF shows. Hopefully your signs are pregnancy related. The nausea sounds promising. I have never wanted to feel nausea so bad 🤣💕

@LRW26 I know, ttc takes over and you are right to not put your life on hold because of it. I do the same though and think things happen for a reason. Hopefully it is true and leads to a BFP.

apwilso · 16/11/2020 17:46

In work and found out one of my mates (a man) has ended up getting his ex pregnant over a bit of lockdown fun!!! How do people get it that easy!

Hi everyone sorry I didn’t realise how much I needed a mental break from TTC!

Hope everyone is doing ok. Still catching up!
I’m CD 10 here and thinking about DTD again 🤔. It’s been nice to have a rest 🤣

@apwilso I’m so sorry that you’ve gone through this. That does sound like a loss to me. It make sense with the off ‘period’ you had. I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks and saw the clot...it was the size of a small grape, and had grey tissue on it.

Do bring this up with the nurse or a doctor you know will listen and be sympathetic to your situation.?IThrill help you your mental health if you Understand and get recognition of what happened.

It won’t feel like it to you right now, but early losses are ‘normal’ .they happen in the course of getting pregnant, and are due the pregnancy not being viable. Your body knows this and then rejects it. There is nothing you or your husband did that caused this, and there is nothing that could be done to prevent it. That is important for you to know. It doesn’t mean anything for your later chances of pregnancy either, in fact it shows everything is working.

Dex1521 · 17/11/2020 08:11

Hi ladies! I’ve been off the progesterone only pill for 3 weeks today (still no withdrawal or period) but been having all the symptoms of pregnancy and I was talking to a girl on here who was lucky enough to fall pregnant a week after coming off the PO pill (and didn’t have a withdrawal or period) so she is giving me hope.
We DTD 9th, 10, 11th this month and the past few days I feel like I have an increased sense of smell for example I opened a packet of cooked chicken and it smelt so bad to me and my OH smelt it and said it just smells like chicken and when I was cleaning the cat food bowls out a few days ago the smell coming from them made me gag and it’s never bothered me in the past.
I’ve been having nausea but no sickness and dizzy spells where I go all shaky and feel like I’m going to faint.
This bit is TMI so I apologise in advance 😂 I went to the toilet yesterday and after wiping I noticed a large lump of CM on the paper when I put it between my fingers it was like a jelly consistency and clear which I’ve read can be either ovulation (as I don’t know the day I ovulate yet because of no cycle) or a sign of pregnancy 🤨

I’d also like to ask what pregnancy tests do people find work the best? Especially as I’m dying to test but I know it’s still too early just feel like I’m in limbo as I don’t know when AF is due or what is going on with me 😂

apwilso · 17/11/2020 10:39

@Bouncytree thank you. Yeah I'm going to speak to my doctor on Thursday I'm a bit at a loss because I don't know how to feel after how my gp dealt with it which was poorly. It will be like a week since it's happened when I go to this other appointment. Thank you for the support sorry to hear you went through the same thing. My OH has struggled more and is upset but for me I feel like I haven't got the clarity so haven't really processed it at the minute just heads not fully there.

@Dex1521 the CM sounds promising I think it can be for either but if you want to do some tests just get some cheap ones of Amazon as you get a pack of 25 and when you feel as if your at the end of the cycle I'd treat yourself to FRER or CB but I'd go for first response as I prefer the pink dye

OP posts:
Dex1521 · 17/11/2020 10:46

@apwilso thanks! I’ve heard good things about FRER so will get those as well as some cheapies! Had some more egg white CM just now not as much as yesterday. Yesterday was about the size of a 50p and today about the size of a 1p so i feel like I’m not pregnant maybe and that actually I’ve ovulated or I’m going too soon as before this I’ve had really dry CM

S345 · 17/11/2020 11:36

Hi All,

Hope you don't mind me jumping on, I've read most of the thread and it seems like a lovely one!

I am 8DPO and been TTC on and off for the last 5 months (we were due to get married earlier this year which then got postponed to October and now postponed to next year so that halted our ttc plans a little) we’ve now just made the decision to get on with TTC. I've been symptom spotting like mad this month which I've recorded in my app so I can look back at it next month incase I don't get my BFP. I use CB Ovulation tests, this month I just used them on the day my app said was ovulation day which was confirmed with a static smiley so fairly happy that the app is as right as it can be! Wishing everyone positive vibes for the month ✨

Starstella21 · 17/11/2020 13:12

Hello, I hope you don't mind if I join you?
I'm currently 9dpo and on day 34 of my cycle (I have longer cycles usually 33/34 days) trying for our 3rd child. Started trying in September and had a BFP after just dtd lots and not tracking anything but that sadly ended in a chemical 3 days after my period was due. So I'm guessing that's also caused a slight delay in my ovulation as I've now started tracking using digital clear blue.
Did a test this morning and BFN and not a massive amount of symptoms other than on and off sore boobs and a bit of bloating/cramping here and there. Had such strong pregnancy symptoms with the chemical I'm not holding much hope this month though I do find each pregnancy different. With my first it was unplanned (using withdrawal method can you believeBlush) and I had no symptoms total shock and with my second I had sore Boobs and was so emotional and could just tell, took ages to get a BFP, over a week after AF due.
Anyway sorry for the rambling message just not had much of a chat with anyone about TTC and been lurking on here thought I'd finally post.
Ordered FRER today and gonna hold out and test Friday which is a day after AF due.

LRW26 · 17/11/2020 20:11

Hi everyone, hope you’ve all had a good start to the week!

Can I ask a daft question? If you ovulate later than expected (than when the app says) does AF arrive later than the app says or would AF arrive on the date on the app? I don’t know if this is a stupid question or not but this month is the first month I’ve actually known I’ve ovulated so I wasn’t sure.. 🙈

1992EM · 17/11/2020 20:33

@LRW26 I would say AF would be later . Your luteal phase tends to always be around the same length . If I ovulate on cd15 I have a 28 day cycle and if I ovulate on Cd18 I have a 31 day cycles as its always 13 days for me . X

LRW26 · 17/11/2020 20:40

@1992EM ah right okay, thank you! Have you had any early symptoms or anything yet? X

1992EM · 17/11/2020 20:50

@LRW26 I am so tired but only 5dpo so don't think it is a symptom. More likely a symptom from work 🤣. How are you getting on ?

Bouncytree · 17/11/2020 20:59

@LRW26 yes I think as @1992EM says I think it will be later. I juts found out last month...ovulated 2 days later and period was 3 days late. Drovevme crazy! Of course I thought I was PG 🤦‍♀️
