Hey!

Want to get a group of ladies who are TTC at the same time to have someone to chat to during this journey together. It's a lonely process for me and only
In early stages of trying but would love advice, tips and general chat. This is an open chat and can't wait to chat to you all

@S345 Welcome 💕 good luck with your cycle and sorry to hear about your wedding .
@starstella21 fingers crossed you get a bfp 💕
@apwilso how did the doctors go ?

1992EM · 17/11/2020 21:45

@bouncytree I did the same thing the first time it happen to me .

Lozza85 · 17/11/2020 21:51

Hi ladies - can I join? I'm 35 and ttc our first. Just started 3rd cycle on the weekend. First cycle in June was a loss for us at 6 weeks, now nervous and excited to be trying again. Worried that we've left it too late but trying to stay hopeful!

LRW26 · 17/11/2020 22:18

@1992EM nothing obvious yet! I thought my boobs were getting sore but turns out it’s just one of them so not sure it’s related! I’m tired but that’s just normal for me. I’ve had some little pains in my lower stomach today that I’ve noticed but not sure yet. Just keeping fingers crossed for BFP!

@Bouncytree lucky I asked as I would’ve thought I was late 🤦🏻‍♀️ Just longer to wait now and resisting testing early. I feel like I’m more hopeful this month because I saw physical evidence I’d ovulated rather than just assuming... which might make AF hurt a lot worse if it does arrive 🤦🏻‍♀️

1992EM · 17/11/2020 22:21

@Lpzza85 sorry to hear about your loss . Hopefully you will get your rainbow baby soon 💕
@LRW26 how many dpo are you? These could be signs xx

LRW26 · 17/11/2020 22:32

@1992EM 7 days DPO now so maybe! Trying not to read into everything but I’m just logging on my app so I can look back at it xx

1992EM · 17/11/2020 23:09

@LRW26 could be implantation then. That is roughly the right time scale for it x

Lozza85 · 18/11/2020 08:19

Thanks @1922EM

I'm debating starting to use OPKs to confirm to myself that everything is working. What do people think? Necessary or do they add more stress to the process?

Also, what apps are people using to track? I've been using Ovia but interested in other thoughts!

S345 · 18/11/2020 08:39

@Lozza85 I use a couple of apps 🙈 fermometer and fertility friend and I also log it into my iPhone health section too! Talk about overkill 😂

I like using the OPK's personally, became a bit obsessed with the cheap stick ones at the beginning and they weren't really giving me any indication so switched to the CB digital ones which are sooo much easier to use! Flashing smiley when you're 'fertile' and static smiley when you're 'peak' they are quite expensive, last month I just used them on the day my app said I was ovulating and it was a static smiley so at least I know the app is roughly right!

apwilso · 18/11/2020 10:43

@S345 welcome to the chat and we're all lovely so you've joined the right chat! Awwww that's good fingers crossed for you!

@Starstella21 that's exciting thanks for joining. You'll have to keep us updated!!!

@1992EM doctors is tomorrow anxiety is setting in now though!! 😳 I will update you all going after my smear came back with abnormal cells so hoping all is okayy. Got my questions to ask so let's hope I get the answers I need!

@Lozza85 so sorry for your loss but welcome to this chat! fingers crossed for you xx

My mood this week has proper dropped don't know if it's just pure stress and anxiety for this appointment tomorrow or what. I've been needed a wee more often especially yesterday and overly tired but not overthinking that as I've not hit ovulation yet!

Starstella21 · 18/11/2020 10:43

@Lozza85 I used the cheap ones for two months before TTC just to try and get an idea of when I ovulate and found them quite stressful tbh and agree that I then started clear blue digital and found them
So much easier. I use the clue app for tracking everything

Lozza85 · 18/11/2020 17:24

Thanks @starstellar21 and @S345 for the advice on OPKs. I think I'm going to give clearblue a go. Dumb question alert, but do you still DTD every other day from when AF ends until you get your peak?

Lozza85 · 18/11/2020 17:29

@Apwilso good luck for your appointment tomorrow, fingers crossed you get answers

LRW26 · 18/11/2020 17:49

@Lozza85 I’ve used the Easy@Home OPKs this month and they’re really easy to use so would recommend. Think they were about £6 for a pack so not bad priced.

@apwilso good look for your appointment tomorrow 💕

S345 · 18/11/2020 18:38

@Lozza85 to be honest we focus mainly on DTD on my 'fertile week' but this month we tried to stick to the SMEP it's quite good for a bit of guidance at least! I treat the positive ovulation as my static smiley on CB

1992EM · 18/11/2020 20:45

@Lozza85 I would use opks . I actually find it easier and less stressful. Last month I didn't get a positive opk because I missed a few days and missed my ovulation. It just helps guide you when the best days are to dtd. Also I don't always ovulate the exact same day each month x

@apwilso good luck tomorrow. Sending lots of love and hopefully they will be able to answer your questions and give you some reassurance.

@apwilso good luck with your appointment today. I hope you get some advice and care. It really does help.

@LRW26 fingers crossed for you I hope it’s your month 🤞

@Lozza85 I think it depends. I do feel like with any testing it’s easy to get a bit obsessed! To just keep testing till you get the result you want! 🤣 I think if you treat the first month or 2 Testing with opks as trials to learn the pattern of your cycle, it allows you not to stress about it. I do find it reassuring to know when I have ovulated, and it can let you off the hook if you are a bit sick of DTD 🤣

That said I got PG with my son No testing just DTD every 3 days, to give good ‘bandwidth’ across the days to make sure I caught ovulation.

1992EM · 19/11/2020 16:00

@apwilso how did you get on ? X

apwilso · 19/11/2020 17:46

I've been doctors. This was for a follow up after my smear I do have abnormal cells but low risk and need to go back in a year for another smear.

Asked about the clot and they said it would be hard to tell from the picture but look and she just said doesn't look overly abnormal but when I explained the situation she said it might well be an early loss but they can't tell me for definite. Explained that my doctors told me to wait till today and she looked shocked.

I feel as if it could have been but she said just wait till next period or if it doesn't come try a test again. But she said if I wouldn't have been testing then I wouldn't have known kind of thing. But me and my partner reckon it probably was. But we will just continue our journey x

Hey sorry everyone I always get so lost in the thread and miss so many messages 😅
@apwilso sorry to hear about your appointment but keep your head up and fingers crossed 🤞

I will be 1dpo tomorrow and I think I’ve had ovulation pain today woke up with a ache above my left thigh rather than in the middle of my uterus if that makes sense 😅 so it wasn’t like a normal cramp. Went away about lunch time. I also got my peak OPK yesterday around 12pm so we have DTD 3 times since then so hoping it will work ✨ 👶

Now the dreaded TWW begins 🤣 is tomorrow too early for a PG test? I’m kidding 😅

Bouncytree · 19/11/2020 20:41

@apwilso how do you feel after the appointment? It sounds like she treated you more seriously and understand your situation a bit more. I find GPs vary greatly in their approach and it can make a big difference.

@Dex1521 lol now don’t be asking us that, we will only say yes test 🤣 I know we love a good test here 🤣🤣🤣

@LRW26 any news?

@1992EM where are you at in your cycle,

Oh and I never said welcome to everyone joining. Welcome!

So CD 12 here, being a bit more relaxed about the testing this month, hasn’t even DTD yet and then bam 💥 blazing positive OPH this evening 2 days early! Luckily was just about to DTD. At least it will be a light baby dance month 😅 so will just be 1 day behind you I think dex1521. When are you due AF?

The knicker checking begins!

1992EM · 19/11/2020 21:35

@apwilso Sorry the doctors couldn't confirm yes or no for you but please remember if it was a loss it wasn't anybodies fault and doesn't mean it will happen again.

@dex1521 good luck in your tww 💕
@bouncy tree I am 7dpo today. Have some cramps here and there but other than that nothing. My boobs are massive but they normally feel bigger before AF. I won't be testing until a week on Saturday if AF hasn't arrived. I will be 16dpo by then . AF is due a week today.

apwilso · 19/11/2020 21:37

@Dex1521 thank you! And actually laughed out loud at DTD 3 times already and I'd probably do a test knowing me😂😂

@Bouncytree I felt better still in the unknown but thinking it probably was a loss but just looking forward because it's still unknown we don't want to dwell and hoping continue a healthy journey. Obviously we're both upset but trying to be positive.
Buzzing you got your positive ovulation! Get dancing 🤪
